I have been reading over these forums for a few days and have came to the conclusion that I need help from more experienced people.
I currently have a blackjack II, it serves me well but i would like something I can "play with more". Plus for the life of me I cannot get tmobile working properly on it.
So here is my question out of the Tmobile phones which is currently the best of skype and messaging. Thats all I am concerned about and call quality. being able to mod it is a plus since I get bored very fast.
i was looking at the wing, I really like the tilt and know pretty well from reading how to sim unlock. But once again theres the stupid tmobile settings.
Sorry for the newbie question. i have used search and the phone selection database but also wanted a more opinion of actual users. BTW my price range is around $250 give or take.
Thanks to anyone that can help
The newbie xda girl
stupid t-moblie settings? I'm a tmoblie user and ive had no problems with the tilt, wizard, or wing.
I haven't had any issues setting up any other phone other then the Blackjack II. Sorry if I seemed incompetient in my posting of "stupid settings" But it can be rather frustrating.

Hi guys/gals,
I'm going to be getting a work mobile in a few weeks on the O2 network in the UK. I was thinking of a blackberry but then saw the XDA's (HTC). I don't really need a PDA but its a works phone and having excel would make my job a lot easier as I don't have a laptop but need some access to excel in the warehouse, as well as outlook and messenger when I'm out on site.
Now the 2 that's I'm looking at are the XDA Stellar (http://www.my-xda.com/devices/xda_stellar.jsp) and Orbit 2 (http://www.my-xda.com/devices/xda_orbit2.jsp). The problem is that they are just re-branded on the O2 network and I cant figure out which are the related HTC phones. So could someone tell me which are which so i can do some more research.
I have been reading review and seems the Stellar is a better PDA/phone as its got the slide out KB. But typical O2, i cant really tell what are the differences as one pages says one thing and the other something else.
Does the stellar have a touch screen like the orbit, with the same funtionality?
Both do Wifi and GPS?
can i get tomtom software for the XDA?
whats the battery life like on both phones? (I have heard horror stories when using 3G or WiFi with a sub 4 hour battery life)
Can u 'image' the OS and stuff like u can on a PC to back up everything? (i ask because I do like to have a play and its nice to know u can get it back to factory settings again)
any helpful links u peeps might have to gimmi a help deciding? reviews, guides ect ?
Sorry for all the questions. I really like the look of them but have never had a chance to use one so I thought i would be best to ask soem people who know the in's and out's.
thanks for the help i hope to receive!!!
Peace
SN
ha haa..
no help but i sorted it out anyway. Stellar/TyTn II is the plan.
OK im very new at this and i was wandering if you guys can give me a hand
im with verizion and im looking for a new phone i have never had a pda or ppc and im looking for a very customizable one i was looking at the vx6800 and the i760 but like i said i got no idea. il look at any phone i can use on verizon
oh anyone know anythang about the verizon glyde?
well no answers?
HA! The XV6800 is from HTC, and this forum is mainly based on HTC PDA's so you'll find more topics and customiztions for it. But the biggest thing to remember is, your gonna spend a nice chunk of change for it, so make sure you pay for the one that suites you best. Go to the store and mess with them a bit.
Duplicate.
Hi,
I am completely new to all this so forgive me if I don't make much sense... I have a HTC Mogul that was flashed to cricket... It worked fine and one day it froze... I had to hard reset and it works again, however the MMS picture messaging and internet does not... I was told by a friend to flash with a rom again and will work but I dont know where to get the software and what to do.. Can anyone help me please?
well, the first thing i suggest you do is read read read! there are some great guides here and on ppcgeeks.com. it's a little intimidating at first, but once you start and learn the lingo, it's really not that bad. To get you startrd, most people here refure to your phone as the Titan. for some unknown reason Sprint decided to rename it the Mogul. It's also called the 6800. Sprint, Verizon, and the other smaller CDMA carriers all carried the same phone. good luck
This belongs in the Q&A section
thank you
I've dug around a little and Google doesn't really show anything. But does anyone here know if there is a way to flash a palm Centro?
I know it sounds silly, but i happened to get a Centro free on contract with Verizon when i renewed and kept my old phone (Treo 700w) active on the account, i didn't want to pass up a free phone since i figured it should be hackable to some degree.
Any Advice?

Welcome to forums
Perhaps some of the tweaks here can work for your centro:

Hope it helped and good luck,
I had thought to post there, but since they deal specifically with WinMo based Palm handsets, i figured general would be a good start.
But i guess i'll go see if any of them know of anything.
Thanks
Hi. Been a looong time since I visited the forums. I was unhappy with the performance of my Fuze, so I came here to try some tricks with it. Pretty much did it all just short of installing the Android OS on it...which I think was just starting to be developed before I gave up on the Fuze.
I followed the development of the best roms and radios back in the spring/summer of last year, and the Fuze's got a TAEL rom on it now, and radio "1.12.25.19". The phone worked/works just fine...but I wasn't happy with it, and the large bill that arrived every month, so I ditched it long ago for a simple tracfone.
I'm wondering now though....is it possible to unlock either or both of the phones in a way that would allow me to use the tracfone SIM in the Fuze?
A simple enough question I think....and I tried the search....but I don't exactly know what to search for.
Appreciate any help you can offer. This has been a great forum for me in the past. VERY informative.

Thanks. I've seen that page, and followed the links. However that alone doesn't answer my question. I need to know if this can be done at all first, before I start buying software and codes for a 2? year old phone I don't even use. =)
Where are all the pro hackers and chefs for these things? Maybe the Fuze really WAS that bad, that noone even uses it anymore?
