Sorry Guys, got a complaint from a SW co. about a certain title above. Need to close this while I investigate. Thanks for understanding!
I was going to say something. Watch what you're posting. Ask people before you do it and obviously don't post protected software.

In fact it was a freeware (kinoma) but they wanted you visit their download page for downloading it (well it is understandable afterall)

hi does anyone know of a realtime mp3 recorder that works on the xda2.
I want to be able to go in the mic input from a PC sound card and record at mp3 direct onto sd card (need about 3 hour recording time)
I know it sound Heath Robinson but I can only do it this way
There's Mnote v1.21 but apparently it doesn't like the xda2

Hi
I'd love a copy of the software. Our company are getting 3 XDA2s and I've been 'volunteered' to find an test out some specific apps for them. Love the site, by the way. Great information here.
oops
Forgot my email address! I'm new to this - as you can probably tell. Sorry.

Why not trial using their free trial period... Since your company paid for the XDA2s I am hoping they can pay for the useful software that you may put on them too. Software piracy is not looked upon lightly on this forum.
Trial software
I was not aware that there was a trial version - and I certainly wasn't condoning piracy. I just thought it would be a way of sussing out whether it was the right product for the company.
NoteM works fine for me, as long as the recording quality is kept on low bitrate, mono (in advanced settings)
Ok just wait....
Ok ill post the link just for yoi all, but do you think its illegal to post warez link here in xda-dev? i will upload it to geocties but still i have no time. i need first to finnish my exams in school, i think the moderator will be mad if i post the link, isn't he?
But i promise to give it to you all......

Hi all,
i don't know if this has been made known before but anyway here is a link http://www.freecabs.de/ to a site that serves to provide ppc users a place to find free/commercial softwares/games in cab file-ready format and zip. just to mention a few like Pocket Rar, PPC Skype, Mem Release, VLC Media Player (that can stream video), Virtual Earth Mobile, UI tweaker etc. As for version compatibility, as most is not mentioned, i guess it's up to the user to find out.
I've tried to look for the proprietor's name of this website but could not find any so i could not pay any tribute directly as yet but anyway if he/she reads this, "A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU" so if any of you guys do find his/her name please mention it here. he/she did tho' include his/her e-mail "[email protected]". I think he/she deserves our thank you.
Cheers. (P.S as the url suggest softwares are free but i could not confirm this as i don't use much of them only those that i need)
The site is by Holger Schmidt
Danke Holger
Yes, i'm sorry. it's listed just below the title. Thanks.
And thank you again, Holger Schmidt.
Freecabs - Metro City Navigation
Métro Ver. 5.4.4 is cool. 350 cities.. and it's free!
If you have ever been lost in Munich, you know what I'm talking about.
well freecabs is great. But the site is really a portal for OTA downloads. All apps belong to their seperate owners.

Hi!
Am new to Windows mobile and this is my first post. I have spent quite some time going through various forums, but have still not managed to get the following softwares.
Any help would be much appreciated.
The softwares that I am looking out for should be compatible for the Cingular 8125 (WM5).
1) Software that hides folders using a pasword without any encryption
2) Software that would turn off the phone totally. I have seen softwares that turn off the pda, but the phone still remains on.
In addition, if there is a function of being able to put on the phone on & off at pre-determined times, that would be great. I had a software called "Phone Technician" that used to work on my Treo really well.
3) Software that requires a password to launch an application
Looking forward to your help ...
Thanks & regards,
Amit
sounds like you need to do some searching

Read my software reviews, I cross-post them all into this forum. In them, I also elaborate on the 8125 compatibility.
Who's asking for warez links???

I am not aksing fo warez links. All I want are the names of the softwares, so that I can try them and buy them if they are good. Or, if they are any freeware softwares that do the job, that's great.
Take care & thanks for your replies ...
Thanks!

Obviously you just didnt realise what you just typed.
i'm sure you know there are tons of sites already doing this.. rating "software" and recommending software.. and no need of such waisted threads.
here's a link to begin your quest for recommended software.
www.download.com <- filter to mobile software (top rated, popular) .. ofcourse there are more sites on the net that does this better.
hey
lol. i can assure you i am aware of what i type!
my intentions were to eventually setup a CAB file repository for MS Smartphones here on xda-devs which can be accessed via our smartphones over wifi! i am working on compiling a list as we speak however i am having trouble finding some good freeware apps and will end up having to post 'trial' versions
While there are excellent programs created here by developers, there are always some that you may want to purchase. So I'm asking here, what apps have you purchased that you use quite often and found the cost well worth it for the product. I'm willing to bet there are other threads, as I have read many here, that already suggest certain apps, but most are to cluttered. So, what are you using/have used and liked?
Every app listed in my signature is what I can't live without. None are free but well worth it to me!

Thanks for the suggestions, but I do have two questions for you. First, on the CorePlayer, are you able to covert video files from your PC to play on this, even if it's an additional software. For iNav, is this GPS reliable only on the PPC connections?

Thanks, I use Spb Mobile DVD for movie conversion and for iNav, I use it on my Tilt w/ the built in GPS and on my Laptop via bluetooth GPS.
I have a full license for most of the SPB SoftwareHouse products. I love the programs they integrate together well; Mobile Shell2 / Pocket+ / Phone Suite / wheather
I allso use "Finger Friendly Friends" I cant live with out it, its one hell of an intelligent contacts manager.
Another I cant live without is: Acquasys Pocket Investor by Acquasys
I would be at a loss if I couldn't track whats going on with my invesments.
Thanks for posts, any good weather apps that include a today plugin. I searched for Weather Panel, found the site, but it won't open. Any ideas on something close, if not, better?
