Before you flame me, yes I did use the search. And yes I also did use google.
I couldn't find something that directly answeres my question. I am looking for the "official" HTC ARABIC-enabled ROM for my AT&T Tilt/Kaiser.
Please note that there are "cooked" Arabic ROMs here on XDA-DEV that are called "official", "vanilla", and "professional".
I am looking for the bits released by HTC Middle East / North Africa. Since my device was purchased in the US as an AT&T Tilt, its serial number will fail the check on HTC's web site.
NOTE: Phone is CID unlocked

the link knumb gave you is 100% correct but that is a wm6 arabic rom. and there has been an official wm6.1 arabic rom...
...but i would just like to add that you would really benefit nothing special from an official arabic rom....its not even arabized my friend.
i suggest using any cooked rom and adding an arabizer for the language

Thanx for the reply Mazin. I am aware its not arabized.I "used" to have it on a previous tilt that I owned. I would want an English interface only.
All I really care about is Arabic text support for web browsing, and text messaging. Since I tried that official Arabic ROM before, it fit the bill perfectly for me.

Both are wm6 versions.
You can download arabic version of wm6.1 and arabic addons from official HTC website just by entering your mobile serial no.

rselva_kr, as sexuuh pointed out, I CANNOT download from th HTC ME/NA site since This is an AT&T Tilt. I already tried and it rejected my serial number.
That being said, All I would really care about is an Arabic-enabled WM6.1 ROM. Meaning: English UI but with support for arabic text messages and/or sites like www.aljazeera.net

u do not need the official arabic rom for those needs...
i assure you!...flash any rom you want and i will guide you to an arabizer software that will enable you to
1-type arabic
2-read arabic sms
3-browse arabic website
4-view arabic words on your today screen
every rom i have ever used was customized like this..."english interface with arabic support"

I am not sure if you can read SMS in Arabic. All I know for sure is I can type them.
I just tried sending me a message in Arabic and it worked but didn't work when I used Google SMS.
Flashed this ROM last Friday, and haven't experienced any issues w/ it so far. It gives you an option to not install the Arabic packages, but also lets you know that if you do install them they can be disabled later on.
The best thing about this ROM vs the dopod one is the system font isn't abnormally large.

Also have not ran into the problem of continuous resetting like I did with the older ROM.

I would say yes but it depends who is your service provider. I am in the US and I use at&t. If I send a arabic sms to somebody, they can read it assuming they have arabic support as well. When I sent it to a person in t-mobile, it came out gibberish.

I have install it and when it asked me about arabian i sad NO!! but i cannot write nothing becouse i have some kind of square in place of letters. When i install polish lang pack the letter appear but the "fn" and "caps" button doesn't work. why??

I had the same problem, it the requirement to change t9 language should be in a readme file with the ROM

If you think you can do it, follow instructions here:

If you could do this, I would be a happy man
And even better, If you have access to a norwegian RUU (rom upgrade utility) for your kaiser (Im not sure, but maybe you can get it from htc e-club. http://member.htc.com/member/login.aspx?fm=eu&ln=en
register if you havnt allready, and see if there is a download
other option is contact support via email and ask for a ruu, cause your device has locked, and you need to flash it back
any of theese would be greatly appreciated
If you look in the windows folder of all Tytn II rom there are some cabs that are installed on a hardreset. One is named configure_key.cab
Could that cab install the country specific keymappings?

There isn't RUU for new devices on htc club. Only for upgrade when htc deploy new functionality on the same version of windows mobile (as gps update for P3600 Trinity) or new version of windows mobile.

I've read in some others threads that's impossibile to reconstruct the rom as it comes when u buy. Something miss as office or connection wizard.

I have official Tytn ROM ... czech distribution ... but may need u to unlock the phone.
Ok this may be a sarcastic answer but if you do an advanced search for "czech rom" only in kaiser forums you will have your answer.
Not sure how easy it needs to be. But I have it downloading currently.

I am not saying that there never will be, but the ones here that say OFFICIAL are NOT official.
If they WERE official, why would HTC or ATT or any other company make you use HardSPL? And why wouldn't they give HardSPL to you when they gave you the OFFICIAL ROM?
Can you IMAGINE the support requests with an official ROM that was missing the biggest element? The element being a way to INSTALL the ROM?

i am from germany, and i bought my samsung sgh-i780 in the US.
now i want to update my windows mobile to a newer version, but i am having trouble doing so:
the phones ID is: DXHD1
i am using the phone in english language just as i received it. but it seems like the phone has been imported to the US from eastern asia ?? right??
the official samsung page "http://www.samsungmobile.com/support/i780/index.jsp" doesnt work for me because my code isnt accepted in UK (i dont want a different language other than english or german)
what am i supposed to do now, in order to update my phone to a new wm version?
i read through the forums but i didnt find a fitting answer

try using UK and BVHF1 to get upgrader!
then tell me if you were able to update using this tool!

afaik
it should be possible to upgrade to russian rom(full eboot pda phone) with mirage
then apply e1 update pda part only (with mirage)
after this i supose official uk update from page above can be used to upgrad e phone to pdxib1 =) which is newest and std for actual roms'!

I am very confused... i dont understand all the terms u used because im not into this topic as u are
could u explain those steps for someone who is a complete noob as to that topic please? i dont know how any of the things u have been talking about
if u could find the time to do so, i would be very happy

forget this way!
first get official pdxib1(or how irt is spelled!) using the link provided in previous post!
and then edit it as decribed unter the same link!
i use xvi32 as hexeditor =)
tell me if this leads you to succes!

so first there are 3 things:
bootloader: starts windowsmobile! (called: eboot)
then operationsystem: windowsmobile(called: pda)
third is phonecomponentfirmware(calledhone)
you have to update these three using a russian rom!(romis a packet including one or all this three sections!)
then you've to get english software code! for this apply e1 rom to your i780! (it flashes pda sektion)
then it should be possible to use official english upgrader obtained by the samsung website!
this updater makes your mobile run dixb1 in phone and pda section (or how this reccomended version is spelled!).
after this you can overide pda section using a dxib1 based rom likeironeagles or dreamtheater39 or heineken ones... =)

second way described is very easy just get two files!
then edit one of them and there you are!( i think it is the seccond that has to be edited!)
official updater by samsung:
PDXIB1-XP
XVI32
what is to edit using xvi32? see middle of this post!
drivers
install xvi32 and the drivers!
then extract the updater with 7zip or winrar!
open biggest .exe with xvi32 and search for "DXIB1"... you will find it two times.
rename it both times to the same!
replace with what?
leaf the ib1 and replace the first two letters with the first two your phone has!

your code works when selection malaysian! =)
if you want to use uk version edit it like described in treath above!
but i think malaysian is english too!

i started the .exe file on my computer and my phone was updated...
now i looked at my phone and everything works fine its upgradet to 6.1
PS.: I could have used the Malaysian one? maaaaan i should have tried that

pdxib1 IS malaysian! =) its unbranded version =) its offcial version from samsung not for brandet devices!
i will modify pdxib1 to update my german phone...
dont forget now you can update to cooked wm6.5!
most common bug is artefact when moving courser!
=)
AND DONT FORGET: GPS FIX! use it for every programm! w/o portsplitter!

cooked means edititen in a certain view.
so wm 6.1 is official
wm6.5.3 which u can obtain by using those "cooked" roms has a totaly reworked startmenu
it has other slidingpanels(titanium)
it might be faster. rom cookers (the persons building cooked roms) apply patches for stability ;more ram/space/pagepool new themes.
in wm 6.5 theres no real advantage than new startmenu and ne ie6 mobile.
i suppose to give ironeagle or heinekens rom a try and if you dont like it just flash old wm 6.1 back =)
