Hi there,
cause of that bemghalli seems to be banned,
could someone please pm me the cab of sashimi 7.5?
Thanks, thanks
c'mon...
you can't tell me nobody here has it.
if noone has the cab, you could send me the folder, too
I had a look for you, but I couldn't find it on the usual 4Shared sites, or on the Google Cache'd page. Sorry, I'm sure someone will have it...
Is there a reason that all of the programms by benghali were removed?
(I'm asking before someone with a big mouth will tell "no warez, no warez"
Here's my copy
attached the zip (includes cab and docs). Hope that helps.
Admin edit: file removed after request by software author.
*sigh* ok, nm, here's the 7.5 cab and the makisu 1.7 update as well.

Question for the Mods
Why was bengalih banned and his sashimi software removed?
Is there some sort of backdoor in those programs that we should be aware of and not use?
Please let us know. Thanks.

It could very well be as ridiculous as it appears....
Come on guys, mature, calm down and get back doing the stuff you like doing and that we like you do!

Just installed a superb add-on for TomTom Navigator
http://www.digitools.co.uk/
Allows you to just enter a full UK postcode then just click "Navigate to" and TomTom fires up with the route.
Much much better than the useless tomtom standard address input, and it's free!
Couldn't agree more, this is a great program that I've been using for a couple of months now.
Anyone who's got TT3 should think about this...it's also FREE unless you decide to contribute to the author - something that is always a good idea.
Cheers

Can it be uploaded to the xda-developers ftp?
Been a few posts on here complaining about mis-use of the FTP site lately, can one of the moderators give me the the OK to post this to the FTP site?
I am not a forum admin however I am sure if you uploaded a file that wasnt welcome it would soon be romoved, the file being asked for is in the public domain as free software so I cant see a problem.
I concur with crusin-thru.. upload and it will soon be removed if deemed inappropriate.
ive been using this one - seems pretty accurate ...
http://www.easydevices.co.uk/main.asp?sitepages=Downloads
The one on the EasyDevices site looks like the same one to me, anyway have posted my copy to ftp://xda-developers.com/BlueAngel/
It's zipped so is only about 7mb
I get an error when trying to connect to that ftp.
Try this one instead:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel/

Thanks guys for your help!
Managed to download the files from the ftp - cheers for uploading the file.

Hi!
Am new to Windows mobile and this is my first post. I have spent quite some time going through various forums, but have still not managed to get the following softwares.
Any help would be much appreciated.
The softwares that I am looking out for should be compatible for the Cingular 8125 (WM5).
1) Software that hides folders using a pasword without any encryption
2) Software that would turn off the phone totally. I have seen softwares that turn off the pda, but the phone still remains on.
In addition, if there is a function of being able to put on the phone on & off at pre-determined times, that would be great. I had a software called "Phone Technician" that used to work on my Treo really well.
3) Software that requires a password to launch an application
Looking forward to your help ...
Thanks & regards,
Amit
sounds like you need to do some searching

I am not aksing fo warez links. All I want are the names of the softwares, so that I can try them and buy them if they are good. Or, if they are any freeware softwares that do the job, that's great.
Take care & thanks for your replies ...
Thanks!

I have downloaded TomTom v6.01 software and the Britain Map from XDA-Developers FTP server. I have tried it for the whole day but didn't get it work. I think I am not so weak in this technology but it seems I am a newbie here.
I did it the following steps.
1. Extract the TomTom_v6.01_install.zip, I found no .exe files in it, only a ttn6_setup.cab and other directories under directory of TomTom. I think this pack is for the installation on my PPC. So I copied the whole dorectory of TomTom to the PPC, under "My douments".
2. open file explorer, click on ttn6_setup.cab. It begins to install. It seems success is in my hand but,
3. after the installation finished, I extracted another RAR file which named Great_Britain_V650_Map.RAR. It creared another directory of Great_Britain_V650_Map. Entering into it, I found another directory of Great_Britain and some files under it. After reading some threads on the net, I created a directory on the SD card with the name of Great_Britain-map and then copied all the files into it.
4. Run TomTom navigator by click on start->programm->Tomtom, it went through some steps of setting language, voice, right or left hand, etc. Then it says "no maps found".
I have managed to sort this issue out in the whole day but invain. So anybody else can help me?
Thanks!
You can give this a try
- On your PC create a new text file (in notepad) called CurrentMap.txt
- In the text file write \Storage Card\Great_Britain_V650_Map\
- Save the text file
- Rename the txt file to CurrentMap.dat
- Create a folder on the device in the My Documents folder called TomTom
- Copy the new .dat file into the TomTom folder
Thanks for your reply. But still no happy.
I think I didn't do anything wrong. I followed the instruction on the net and did it in a right way. but it's strange.
Anybody else can help? Thanks!

Dear Raven2000 I appreciate your notice & complain about the piracy to the Moderators, you did a good job for that post, but sadly you have neglected someone's need, as TENMAN have asked the FTP address but you have forgotten to help him, didn't you? I think we should help a member specially if we know the answer for their query despite to think of their Juniority or Seniority.
Anyway the FTP address is as follows, I think you might need that as well:
ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Uploads/Software/TomTom v6 - Full Version with GB Map/
Please be helpfull

Tenman find the FTP address in my previous post, but according to my advice I have downloaded them and that TomTom is unable to search for the Maps (once installed). Finally I have managed to solve the problem with TomTom6+GB Map+Speed Camera. contact me on email.
GoodLuck

There are some FlashDrv problems with TTN6 (or not supported issues).
You can easily overcome this by changing you "My Documents" shell folder
location. Point it at your card.

I didn't help as helping will lead to piracy. Surely having a copy of Great Britian maps on the FTP server is piracy?
Anyway, I am not taking any part in requests involving commercial applications. Besides dealing with piracy is the job of Administrators and Moderators, I don't know why I waste my time
So are you refering it to the ""Administrators and Moderators"", that they are keeping pirated stuff on their ftp?
Sidd
Without getting into the ins and outs of piracy.....
Did anyone find a conclusive way to make sure that TomTom 6.x picks up the maps on the SD Card...?
Yes I have Dibbler, email me on hotmail if you want the solution, its gonna be around 200mb, asap

I will say that we have been recently advised to remove Tom Tom from the FTP and we have complied..
This topic should not only be closed, but also deleted. Mods do your homework.
Guys, I can't believe you can be so bloody stupid.
I post and post about not distributing warez through this forum and the ftp and you guys still do it.
As I've said before this forum is a public resource - if you distribute warez through here, or "cleverly" upload it to the ftp you're not doing any of us favours. The mods have discussed this, but frankly I'm sick of guys abusing this board. We're not children. We all know how to use torrentz. Go and do your warez there. But not here.
I'm borderline on whether we should permit discussion on how to set up your clearly warez'd copies of TomTom or anything else, but frankly, this is going to be my policy as of today:
- I'm going to forward this thread to TomTom.
- I'm going to volunteer ip addresses for everyone on this thread so that they can take the matter up themselves.
And in future, if it happens again, I'm banning anyone who distributes warez. 1 warning, then an immediate ban. And if necessary, I'll start posting ip addresses publically in case any software author wants to take the issue up further.
Please note: I try not to be a hypocrite. I've expressly stated that the forum operates on a knife edge already
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1082343&postcount=5
but you can be significantly more sensible then posting warez, uploading or stating that you've downloaded them. This is your public posting, not mine. You are implicating yourself in the piracy, not me. We're a very open minded board, and what you do in your own time is your business. But do it publically and you risk yourself AND the board.
And if you risk the board, you put at risk something that I admire. Please don't do that. I've said before, if you're such a noob that you can't even find warez without someone showing you, write to me. I'll point you in the right direction. But please don't post or upload warez on this forum/ftp.
V
PS. I can't believe TomTom make it near impossible to find their email address. Lol, they really don't help themselves.
To [email protected]

I direct your attention to the following thread:

Hi all,
This topic is particularly directed towards ROM chefs, although anyone who has an answer pertaining to it by all means should participate.
I would like to create a chef-friendly ROM, like Laurentius' released a while back. The reason for this would be that I would have my base if I ever managed to mess it up, and I could share my bases with this wonderful community.
I've heard that the .rgus and .dsms must be included, but do not have a clue how to do this.
Any help?
thanks guys
Yes, i would like to participate.
In the diamond forums i posted some sort of question also, about why the current roms are locked down.
Some guys say that is for space en free memory reasons, but why do i see the message "Go build your own rom" in allmost every rom when i dump it?
I don't intend to steal, and if i get a package out of someones rom i'll ask it first.
I'd like to see a more open forum(like the good old days) not that every dev is hiding their findings.
So i'm in for it!

precisely,
thanks for the support
sorry for the bump you guys, but is there anyone here that knows how to do this?
Send a PM to Its Right. He makes the TNT roms. He resides mostly in the hermes and wizard forums. He knows the answer to your question.
I totally agree with what your doing. I remember the good old days when packages and roms were shared freely. My kitchen is so far out of date its sad.
I would love to see a nice happy base. I would also love to see a new set of packages available.
I wouldn't mind participating in this "project" at all. I would love to share my base and even make OEMs if needed. Perhaps we can make a huge list of most commonly used OEMs (latest version) and split them among the chefs who would like to participate in this.
I honestly think a collection of OEMs is long overdue. I have a few newer packages that I would gladly contribute. I have been working on a new rom which will be the first one ive publically released.
my roms are always dumpable
look at the new manila2d roms they were looked but we managed to get everything out of it anyway just took us alot more time to get it the realy nesasary.
and by removing the rgu and dsm files you free maybe areound 1 mb prob less.
ok the windowsfolder loads faster but how often are we looking in the windows folder? I rarely do.
I only look there when i have to edit stuff like the start menu and i actually tend to test the speed of a ROM by going there and seeing how fast it loads. Anyhow, it opens up a lot faster in Reso Explorer since it omits system, rom, etc. files.

Great idea.
I would go step further - common web place for all OEMs (bases etc) where everyone could contribute to and dnld from.
I think we should make a kitchen pantry, just like in the wizard forums.
A place where we enlist bases, oems, cabs, tweaks, and cooking tricks.
A place where users can post their oems to rapidshare or whatever, and post the links here.
Then the mods or threadstarters post those links with info on the first page.
idea?
lets work it out.
I'll setup the base thread within a short hour.
so keep in touch
gr. bram
I have had this feeling since I bought the Kaiser over a year ago. It seems like all the main chefs on here for some reason do not want anyone to open their ROM up and look.
I am completely in on assisting in making OEM's. I would be happy to upload all my packages if someone has a place for them.
Count me in on this....
I have a ton of space left on my 4 share account. Once I get home from work today Ill open a public folder so anyone can upload to it. That way anyone that dosent have a place to put files can use it. I will also upload my packages to it.
Ill post links to my OEMs in Brams thread after work as well

OEM Packages Folder
Decided to do it real quick from the office. The folder should be public with 4.5 gb of space to fill. If we should by chance run low on space I will gladly upgrade. Send me a PM if there are any issues with upload. I will link all of the packages to Brams Thread once I get home tonight if they arent linked already.

The link goes to "Let me Google That for you". There is no warez in that link.
@dunnboy9984,
You can get it from the dev's website. If what you are asking for is a warez version of it, that is against the rules and you are breaking them by requesting it. Consider this a friendly warning.
Helps to click on something before making assumtions as to where a link might go.
This wasn't meant to be blown out of proportion! No offense to anyone :0
this is my concern and only concern:
If not you, someone may had interpreted your actions as it is okay to just drop him a link on xda, but rather directly to a hacked cab from a warez site or download engine.
In fact there was links from google to warez site with a little more searching within your link itself. So getting an admin involved was the best for us both! Even thou we may understand the "requester" only asks to help the [OP] in question by installing it first.
The vague link, may direct him to SPB for a 15 day trial or a warez site for a stolen/ cracked version. Will Badge, please just make a direct link to SPB or Devs site next time a request is made. thanks bud! only assumption is to do the right thing. lets just agree to agree and help our fellow members without crossing the fine lines of policies here on xda :0
I didn't cross any policies of XDA. It's up to the person that clicks on the link as to what they want to do. If they choose to actually go to SPB and pay for the program great. If they choose to be a douche nozzle and go to a warez site and try to download a pirated copy that's up to them.
I was more simply showing the person that asked the question that Google had the answer for him as usual. As always GOOGLE for the win........
