Did anybody try out this workaround?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=428170
It is for Diamond but does it work on Touch Pro?
What about the quality?
My issue is that in loud environments even volume is set to maximum it is too low.
thanks guys
Joe
Tried it and keeping it
It's not the best possible solution but at the moment it raises the volume so I can hear somebody when I'm out on the street.
It does distort the sound somewhat, but I can now even lower the volume in normal situations.
Therefore I'm keeping it for now and have made a backup of the original file.
am currently trialling it.
if this doesn't work then I'm 90% sure my phone is going back...
Already discussing this here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=429436
i have installed romeos latest rom and noticed a significant improvement in sound from ear piece , in fact its now too loud with volume at highest level
That is because he has cooked the new audioparam into the Rom

Hi guys! Has anyone experienced not very loud speaker while calling? Whe you are making a call you have to put volume to highest level to hear at least something. I don't have a Raph yet but I'm hearing this from multiple people. Can someone please write me how is he/she happy with the phone's speaker (the one you put to your ear when making a call) loudness?
Thanx
Hopefully the other people have actually taken the Screen Protector that comes on the device whilst in the box off and replaced it with the separate one provided. The protector provided has the necessary holes for the sound to come out so you can here.
With that done, the sound on mine is more than sufficient and I can get away with 60-70% volume in a London street.
Well that's a good news. Thank you for the response!
It has nothing to do with the screenprotector.
I have both devices side by side and called to my voicemail on the same number and the phone speaker on the Raphael is definitely not as strong as the one on the Diamond.
I have a hard time deciding which device to keep as speaker volume is important to me.
But the volume on the Diamond speaker is much higher than on my previous devices as the Touch, TyTN II, etc.
Hope HTC issues a ROM update to increase the volume as the hardware should be identical
Hi,
I'm having the same issue with the speaker compared to my TyTN II, hopefully there will be a fix..

Same here.
Loudspeakervolume is really low... :-(
(compared to a Hermes, Diamond and TyTN II)
Maybe there is a Registryhack for changing this ?
Mogul had same issue, fix came fairly soon after launch

I´ve the same problem. Someone try this app ?
This app doesn't work.
Can't load the driver.
Interestingly the volume and sound through the headphones is great, exactly the same as the diamond.
You should think, because the hardware on the 2 devices is the same it really is a software problem.
Is there a registry setting for the earpeace volume??

anybody??????
Doesn't work for me, dowloaded several other versions. Some of them craches my Touch Pro..
Low volume speaker and poor signal strenth problems
My phone speaker is also almost unusable on highest volume setting. Listening to music on the rear speakerphone is fine.
Tried doing a hard reset to see if Skype or another add-on program screwed up the software and no go -- still same problem!!
Second issue...I have the UK version of Raphael and am currently using it on ATT network in the USVI and signal strength is very labile and weaker than on a cheap phone when compared side by side. Could this be the radio software on the Quad band UK version or poor antenna on the Raphael.
Very disappointd with both poor sound quality AND poor signal strength.
Any and all thoughts and constructive comments welcome!
docclayton
Anothe quick note....called HTC support this am and they are NOT allegedly aware of this speaker problem.
This is almost making my device not usable... If they dont fix this asap I will get rid of the device
I think we should all call HTC support to make them aware of the speaker problem.
I will call them today, but they probably will tell me to send in the unit for repair or something like that.
:-(
Speaker problem
I confirm the same speaker problem. Unfortunately I can not hear the phone call. Music plays ok, but the speaker volume when receiving a call is incredibly low. Any solution?!?
I have tried the various Audio Boost cabs and searching for solutions but no luck so far. None of them seem to boost my BT headset(s) volume sufficiently (or at all...only phone speaker volume). Same headsets on other phones are sufficiently loud, except my Fuze. I drive a loud car and suffer from some minor hearing loss and with the headset volume maxed out and the phone volume maxed out, I still need a bit more.
Any solutions?
Headsets are:
Jabra BT530 (normal headset)
Samsung WEP200 (old backup headset)
Blueant V1 (wife's)
I've been looking for a solution to this forever! I pretty much gave up on the bluetooth headset and went back to wired. I would love to use the bluetooth, but the in-call volume is just too low.

I have some issues with BT being to low.
Remember there was, if I remember correctly, in some really old MONX thread a discussion of the Audiopara3-file that might affect BT-volume.
I made a futile effort of searching, but with limited time I couldn't find it.
Sorry.

That's not what I meant...
What I meant was there was a discussion about a value IN audiopara3 that might affect the BT-volume..
Now, I don't know if this is imaginary, but I looked over some registry-settings, and I atleast think I got somewhat louder sound over BT-headset, but as I said, it might aswell be in my imagination.
What I did, was to increase the values in:
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\waveDev\GainADC_HeadsetMIC_12h
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\BtA2dpSnd\GainADC_HeadsetMIC_12h
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\BtA2dpSnd\GainADC_BluetoothMIC_12h
and rebooted.
Do this at your own risk, I am in no way responsible for any dataloss or your phone or even that it's working or not.

Ok. I'm on EnergyROM_23504_RAPHAEL_10.Nov.2009_StandardM2.5.rar
Don't know if they are safe to just add either. I guess you could try though.
Suppose you would be safest to make a backup, just in case.
EDIT:
I just found this while googling. havn't read through the entire thread and don't know if it's any difference between the audiopara you tried but you might wanna give it a shot.
anything? that works yet? i have a bluetooth speaker lg msb100 that i carry around in my hard hat. its not loud enough please someone find a fix to this.
Is it possible to increase the ear piece volume higher than it already is? It's sometimes hard to hear someone on the other end when in a crowded environment.
Have you tried pressing the volume rocker on the left side of the phone while in the middle of a call?
I've been having a similar problem where everytime I make or receive a phone call the ear piece volume is only at half way, so I always have to manually adjust it when making/receiving calls. Really wish there were a setting in the options menu to have the ear piece volume set to max for all calls.
Ya i tried that, not loud enough in some situations, wish it would be louder.
there is a hack for it, i have came across it but you need to find it. There is one!

Dear All,
I have Mate 7 MT7-L10 but the call receiver volume is too low even if it is set at its maximum. Can any one have some mod to increase its volume??
Please help.
The Mate 7 is very loud. Volume enough already two-thirds. Surely that is not defective speaker?

The Mate 7 has a low volume output even when all volume controls are set to maximum and the in-pocket mode is set. I found this to be true on the in-store demo models (3 units in different stores and countries) and my own unit. The ring volume and alert volumes are also lower than they should be. If one is in a quiet environment ok, but in a noisier environment, they are way too low. Perhaps Huawei should tweak the appropriate firmware to manage this problem.

Good idea. At one point it appeared as if someone from Huawei was monitoring these XDA forums. It could be useful for them. Note. Otherwise I am very pleased with the Mate 7.

Yes very right all other things are perfect in this model except low volume which can be managed by tweaking through firmware. As I have a Note 3 and was planning to buy Note 4 but I am quite satisfy with Mate 7 except this low volume issue.
I agree that the volume is low compared to other high end phones.
Has anyone found a solution yet to increase call volume when using headphones on the Mate 7? I am barely able to hear the other party during calls, even at the maximum setting.
I don't know what is the problem in your unit. Believe me this phone is the highest volume, I have ever seen. I have to reduce the volume so that other people don't listen to conversation even without speakers off.

Using the headset or the earpiece? I'm talking of using the headset. The output of the 3.5mm jack is far too low.
I found a solution, btw. I deleted the /system/etc/audio/codec folder and tadaaa - output appears at least twice as loud, both during calls and when listening to music. Previously, I had to set my car's stereo to volume setting 25 (I usually use 15 when listening to the radio) to be able to hear something on the autobahn, now I only need to set it to 12-15.
So there definitely was an issue with output on the headphone jack, and for my device it is now solved.

Alright I thought you saynig earpiece.. or loud speaker...
but you mentioned you deleted codecs in system audio ..
now go and check your video recording and you will hear distorted audio
check pls and let me know..
i know this trick long time ago and I did it on earlier phones (i think on lg) and audio in video recording was wrong.. don't remember now if it was left or right

Everything's just fine. I know it's always a risk tinkering with the system, which is why I made a backup of the codec folder just in case. But so far, no issues at all in daily use.

Hello,
I'm wondering how I might override the volume on my device in order to make the loudspeaker... louder. My device is rooted and has SmartPack Kernel app on it.

Well it did help and it has also made me realize how loud I listen to music with headphones on. My iphone which I use as a music player gets very loud whether it's the loudspeaker or using headphones. With the app you suggested I can tell the Note 3 is getting very old it doesn't handle its volume being overridden well, it sounded distorted and unclear (I had it at 5% boosted).
Oh well, I can live with how it is as-is.
Gave it another shot today.
I rooted the device and then flashed LOLZ kernel and with SmartPark have been able to up the decibels for the headphone jack and for whatever reason SmartPack's method doesn't distort the audio like the Booster app did.

Perhaps. I fear that my phone is going to be toast soon, the loudspeaker is starting to get that airy failing noise of a speaker sound haha.
I upped the decibel for the loudspeaker by 2% and the headphone jack I think to 3-4%.
BUT even before I did that to the loudspeaker it was giving me that failing sound.
