Audio Manager help
Thank you so much. After a soft reset it works perfect and I was elated.
is there a audio manager version out that doesn't have this bug that it sorts the tracks alphabetically and not by track number?
i tried this one HTC_Audio_Manager_v1.02.919713.zip but it still has the bug.
So my audiomanager looks like the attached. I am using HTC Audio ManagerV1.02.919.713.cab. I have tried different versions but it says it is "unsigned" and won't open it. Any ideas?

duttythroy HTC Audio Manager 1_2_816716.cab search for this version, it doesnt have that bug I found it in the kaiser forum some time ago, duttythroy has a cab collection online somewhere, it should be in there.
However, as it installs into program files, if you set HTC Home Customiser to use audiomanager you will not be able to launch Audio manager from home. Theres no doubt a way around this, but i cant be bothered trying to sort it out at the moment.

duttythroy cab collection online:
http://www.cinetsystems.com/xda/
All the cabs I found in XDA-Devs and other places were older builds of HTC Audio Manager too (Even in Dutty's cab collection).
I butchered one up myself - basically I just took all the audiomanager files from a dump of Dutty's No.6 ROM and packaged them into a .cab file. You're welcome to try it out...
No more alphabetical nonsense, files are sorted by track numbers. As it's set to install to "\Windows" it should work if you want to use the HTC Home tab to open it.
Edit: Let me know if this works ok - I've checked it and it's working fine for me, and it is indeed the version I ripped out of Dutty's No. 6 ROM.
Will I need to do any hardspl before installing HTC Audio Manager, cause I really don't want to risk my warranty?
No. Just install the cab and it'll appear in the programs folder like any other application.
If you don't like it, then you can uninstall it through "Remove Programs". No harm done!
Okay thanks alot
There are also other apps like a picture viewer program who has iphone interface (sorry can't remember the name) and HTC Touch Cube are these also just installations, without any flashing?
Sorry for the questions, it's just difficcult to find out which apps needs flashing and which don't.
PS. has read through the wiki, but there are no thumb rule about which apps needs flash and which don't.
Can I just install the cabs in this link without flashing, because that would be great:

Yes it is only software you install, without any flashing.
Pretty much all of the applications are available as cabs. Of course, many of them are already cooked into ROMs anyway.
The exception to this is the Touch Cube, which doesn't work very well unless it's been cooked into a ROM.
If you're not too bothered about the Cube, then the only real reason to flash new ROMs is for newer builds and potentially improved speed/stability.
For applications and plugins, you'll be able to get 99% of them as cab installers.
Oh, and yes - all the cabs at that link can just be installed with no flashing needed. You never need to flash your device to install a cab. (The audio manager that you will find in duttys collection is an older version than the one in post #11 though).
Cool. Thanks alot both of you for the answers. I will have to try HTC Audio Manager, and will start with yours at top of this page

Thanks, I thought no one else noticed that. I posted something about this a month ago, but no one answered.
I just wish that they released a version with an equalizer or something.
Is there a fix to let the Audio Manager "see" all of the albums that are actually on the phone? I have probably 6 or 7 albums but Audio Manager only sees 3 of them.
update: once i deleted the old version of htc manager and then installed the new version... all was well. the new version was able to see all of my music directories and in the correct numerical order.
Looking forward to improve the look and the usability of my Tornado and after that I saw the Com. Mngr. window of my brand new Orbit 2 (HTC Cruise), I decided to gather some information about how to port the HTC Wings (SP) Communication Manager to my old and faithfull Tornado and from all that search, i did a cab file to realize all this.
Maybe this could be implemented too at the upgrade of any WM6 versions from vjgrace, NiTroGenious, nncuong.
The down listed cab file upgrade the actual ComMgr to the new one from HTC Wings at the english language. See pictures below.
UPDATE to COMM Color
The new COMM Colors is faster due a new *.dll file, it does improve the application's speed, this one as well as the previous one, only shows 6 different functions/connections, but you can choose your favorites to display by editing the registry, all the icons to the functions are available:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\CommManager
From 0 to 10 you can select at the first entries (0-5) the application/connections of your preference.
The standard entries after install are:
0: FlightMode
1: Phone
2: Bluetooth
3: WLAN
4: IR
5: DataDisconnection
This looks hawt!
Nicer than the one that never matches my WM black scheme.
I'll try this tonight before I flash...
Any chance you can port over the contacts look too?

When I look at Wings and Elf, the contacts look quite different than for Tornado. I know a bit of it has to do with them having more screen real estate.
But the scheme and layout look slicker.
So looks by HTC Cruise
I've tried it and it works well. Functionally it works the same as the others I've used. Aesthetically, it's a nice change. The "toggled" indicator light is cool and it matches the WM6 black theme that I love.
The Data Connection was greyed out, but I don't have a GPRS connection setup so that may be it. (On an aside, I just reinstalled my PC OS on my main PC, and the default spellcheck for Firefox is US "English" that tries to tell me that "greyed" is misspelt; it even tells me that misspelt is "misspelled". And here I thought the US was supposed to have been colonised by educated people... )
The comm manager has a flaw. However, the same flaw exists in EA's ROM and I'm sure Nitro's and vjgrace's...
Clicking exit, doesn't actually close the app(let). It just minimises it so the back button won't recall it. Celetask finds the process lallygagging around.
(I know this isn't your fault. Just a peeve of mine. Exit should mean exit. I hate teases. Man, I'm just so excitable tonight. I wonder if that has anything to do with why I have this nick?)

The Cruise, aka Touch Cruise, aka Polaris should look like the Touch because it's allegedly a variant (but so varied as to have it's own name and forum )
Here's some screenies from the Touch:
http://www.imobile.com.au/images/phone_reviews/htc_touch/touch-screenshots01.jpg
I'm considering getting this one [the Touch], as the Polaris will cost so much and I'm already seeing it locally on cragslist for $300-350.
This newer interface, which is common among the newer models, looks more like an interface, as opposed to a mini OS. Disguising WM maybe a smart move on the part of HTC.
The above pics only has the my people list, not the regular contacts. I can't seem to find a pic right now. But it looks like the comm manager, or the song list.
sorry, wrong posting...

The one that it installed over. i.e. the one that came with your ROM, unless you have installed something else over that one, in which case, I hace no clue, but do tell us how it works out ;-)
Looks very nice works fine but really slows down my phone which is SP5 running vjgrace 3.5 ROM.
Next question.....how do I know this is the cause ?
Removed and phone has speeded up.

Having problems with the HTC dialer
Using kaiser tweak i changed back to the HTC dialer (video) and after pressing the first number, the other numbers don't show up ... they do get pressed ... and do register, but i can't see them
Your best bet is to install dutty's dialler to fix the problem. The HTC Video dialler is probably missing some Icons/etc. due to streamlining this ROM for the AT&T networks which don't have video call capabilities.
I will make a not of this to fix in a future release.

Thanks for the help,
I found a non video dialer that works well, and i even found a hebrew skin for it,
but do you know where i can get the dialer you mentioned ? maybe it will work with video.

Funny question... how can I get rid of the damn cube ? ... it is the most annoying thing in the world .... i play solitaire dragging a card and it pops up ... i scroll and it pops ... very annoying !
You can remove the cube under settings/system/remove programs. I allowed for it to be installed on first boot, but also to be removed. After you remove it you will need to soft-reset to get your touch screen back.
I found the link for the Dual touch dialler from Nadavi and dutty

You can add the Solitare exe as an exception in the Cube config, so it will not open up when you are Solitare. Just a thought.

Hold up there chief. I sent you a PM, gotta give a busy man some time. I haven't had any issues with video on this ROM, I thought you were referring to my 6.1 ROM. Can you upload the file that won't play so I can test?
Open the file using TCPMP in the Multimedia tab. It may not show anything at this time and probably won't. Stop the file and shut TCPMP. Then use file explorer to open the file and it should now be registered to TCPMP and play properly.

I've tried to figure this out, but I can't get UC to run at all. There may be a conflict with the OEM autorun.exe and the SDAutorun not being called to via the .txt files. I'll see what I can do to fix the problem.

For some reason I seem to be unable to receive incoming bluetooth connections. Problem happens only with the incoming connections, outgoing files go no problems.
Tried setting the bluetooth as disoverable, connectable and removed the passcode; still no dice. When another phone tries to connect it shows a connection error while I don't see anything on my Tilt.
This could be something related with my settings?
Back to 6.0
I don't know if it was the new radios or 6.1, but I could not get a stable build for the like of me. Freezing, GPS not working, etc... yes, it (6.1) was a little faster, but the price was too high.
I decided to revert back to 6.0 and happened on to XTRM-1.62-6.0X! Finally I have a stable build again!
Thank you!
Is it just me or does TCPMP not work? (by not work I mean not open .flv files)
I added the plugins as well (TCPMPflvplugin-v0.4.2.zip) still no go.
edit: I can't play any videos in tcpmp. I dont think i can play in wmp either.

let me get this straight....
1. you download a ROM being fully aware that ROMs may be snaggy
2. you don't pay anything for the ROM
3. you find a little snag and PM the cook....
am i right so far?
then you have the audacity to come on here and complain?
about a FREE product, that someone spent THEIR time on?
and on top of that you insult him too?
dude, that's lame.....
Sorry guys, just inconciderate people torque me sometimes......
Since this is a new forum and alot of us new Raphael owners come from a qvga background, most of our cabs are useless.

So, what uses then?
the only program i haven't found is world card mobile, i tried using the one i had from my kaiser, but it doesn't start when i click on its icon, for some reason it installs in the windows directory (dont know if this is always been the case)

Hi there!
Is anybody using TTS voices with igo8 on a HTC HD2? I cant get mine to work on my HD2 (firmware 1.43) cause of the sense interface. When shutting sense down and performing a soft reset, TTS works like a charm. Anyone here with the same problem? Im using v8.3.4.102680, had the same version with Hans Hansens TTS voices running on my old omnia with no problems at all.
Thanks!

Thanks for the info. Do you use the same igo8 version? Maybe ill try a hard reset of my HD2 later, maybe some of my mods prevent TTS from working.
I also can't get TTS to work on my Igo8, after some research I just thought it wasn't possible on the HD2.
pitjes could you let me know which version of Igo8 you are using and which voice works? Much appreciated...
Hey there: I made some progress. After a hard reset everything worked including TTS in igo8. So i tried uninstalling some of my programs, mods and so on...it was Dutty's Taskmanager which caused the trouble. After uninstallation TTS works fine.
Same problem with the X2 task manager. Killing the taskmanager executable file with another task manager...and TTS works again...

Try the one from X2...works the same way as duttys, but TTS works sometimes when the task manager is running. But it works ALWAYS when you kill the exe of the X2 task manager, even without a soft reset.

After a little research it seems the TTS requires ALOT of memory, so anything running in the background effects it I guess...
Will try X2 later to see if it helps.
Yeah thats true. But my old omnia worked with igo very well and the HD2 has even more memory...
Happy new year at all,
I uninstalled Dutty´s Taskmanager. I opend a lot of apps. S2p, Solitaire, Bubbles, taskmanager, active sync and the calculator. Then I opend igo8 and tested TTS, I was surprised. It was working. So it seems there is a conflict between Dutty´s taskmanager with other open apps and IGO8 tts. After Softreset Dutty´s isn´t open with any apps and that the thing why IGO8 tts is now working.

Folks,
TTS requiers only 78M free memory. Should not be a problem for HD2 to get there, even if some other apps are running. I run iGO (latest 8.3.4) with no issues. i actually run it on HD and HD2. please make sure your sys.txt file contains the right memory management for it.
under [tts] :
tts_buffer=131072
(check the sys.txt in the program files/iGO8 . Changing the one on the SD card makes no difference, unless you re-install)

Yeah i know that, im working with iGO8 for over a year now . I tried a lot of sys.txt's, none of them worked. Still, after a soft reset TTS works, a couple of "usage minutes" later its dead. I just upgraded to ROM 1.48, still the same behaviour.
And Duttys Taskmanager is killing TTS completely on my device, at least with the old 1.43 ROM.
Another strange thing: After a soft reset TTS works UNTIL i play a song with the sense music player. After that its dead. Playing music with Coreplayer, Nitrogen prior testing TTS after a soft reset DOES NOT kill TTS. I guess its something related to sense using the loudspeaker in some ways...

I've got the same issue!
guys,
I'm running a german 1.61 rom, got igo 8.3.2, my sys.txt is showing the same memory-setting as suggested here in this thread. Touch X Taskmanager is installed (downloaded it from the sticky sense tweaks and cabs thread). My TTS is working. Got approx. 180mb free memory. So I can not confirm, that the problem is withing the taskmanager.

Like my 8.3.4.102680
I've tried even reset LEO, open IGO and TTS ok.
Closed IGO and Start again and OK
Reset LEO, open music in sense and IGO TTS fails
Uncheck HTC Sense from today and run IGO, TTS fails
Reset again and everything ok
