I am looking to benchmark my G1 with several different builds to tweak the performance. I have checked the market and found Neocore and CaffeineMark. Does anyone know of any other benchmarks available or have any suggestions for benchmarking the G1? Thanks.
Their is a linux program I used called "stress". It can probably be easily ported to run on android.
A huge bump for this thread. I am wondering if anyone has done performance comparisons with apps and data moved to sd vs not sd. I understand the benefits of having more space on the phone, but can it actually improve the phones performance or just prevent it from running slow when the space is limited?
Also, anyone seen any class 6 micro sdhc cards that actually tell you the transfer speed other than minimum 6MB/sec write speed? I can find many micro sd cards that advertise the rating and speed, but no sdhc versions.
Hello,
I've heard that we can replace SDRAM in Prophet with more capacity chip (such as 128MB SD RAM) but Prophet will see the memory only 64MB
and if I want to use 128MB on Prophet I must hack ROM to make Prophet can see memory more than 64MB.
I am wondering how I do this ?
Does anyone increase Prophet's RAM before ?
I need a guideline. help me please.
Thank you very much
Just curios as to what your formatted capacity of a 8gb microSD card is?
My card:
8gb - 7.4gb
I know you never get the full amount - but 600mb diverence seems a little excessive. Do you think the card is ok?
Seems pretty normal mines about 450mb difference but not alot in it and when you consider how much you lose on a PC HD then it's pretty minute
Yes it is !
Thanks folks - now reassured
Hello to all!
First of all I want you to know that if it seems obvious that 8GB can be short fast, but it happens from the system stock my Moto available memory tells me they are 8GB dividing 2GB approximate for applications and another 5 GB approximate multimedia , in conclusion they are the 7.64 GB of memory 8gb. but now DIMINISH capacity considerably with custom rom and even uses all memory equally, leaving me only 3GB of storage media. be that the way in which the partition of custom rom is installed on the storage media? previously had a Samsung Advance 8GB and 4GB approximate always left me for multimedia. approximate and 2GB for applications. so my doubt
sorry for my bad english
I'm curious about which MicroSD card is the best for the TF700 for Data2SD or Rom2SD. These days, read/write performance is the bigger issue over capacity. If you use data2sd or rom2sd, please share what card you use and some benchmarks to back it up. I heard that the TF700 might not be compatible with some of the fastest newest microSD cards and that the older ones might perform faster.
I have a 32GB SanDisk Ultra MicroSDHC UHS-I listed with a maximum speed of 48MB/s. I get 583 for Storage I/O and 635 for Database I/O in AnTuTu. In Quadrant, I get ~7000 for IO.
