Hi guys, what are your experiences with battery life under WM 6.1 ROMs?
I've tried Mr.Gonzo's 6.1 ver.1.1 and Clean ROM from fireburner so far. Both seems to drain more power when idle than standard latest HTC ROM. So I stay with 6.0 from HTC now.

I'm running the LeFab ROM (VoxRomWM6.1XIP20202_v1.0). It's great, getting days of battery life and no hangs since I loaded it months ago.

So ye, maybe tonight or tomorrow a storm will come and probably will have no electric power, I have 3 batteries but just in case it takes long to get electricity back I wanna know what rom or rom/kernel combination has been proved to be one of the bests battery saver.
I know I might get shot by the search police but I made this new topic cuz roms get updated everytime and old searches can point me out outdated answers, plus I need a quick response since the storm might start tonight, thanks.
There's no definitive BEST. It's all about what you do and how well you manage it. I get pretty great battery life with CM7 and LordMod's kernel. But some people have battery drain issues with cm7 nightlies. It's more about you and your phone. Experiment, try stuff out, see what works best for you.

Thanks I will download CM7 now
I recommend using the Nightly builds, it intimidates some people who are new to CM7 but they are really good and for the most part very stable.

I recommend any aosp build. I'm on miui with the lordmod kernel and you can go days if you turn off data, which isn't necessary in an emergency situation like you are describing .

YO Thanks again, CM7+BFSLordmod with the stable puv gave me 10 hours (data/sync off and screen most of the time off) and it was still at 91%!!! thanks a lot.
Im surprised how leedroid and other sense based roms now drain a lot of batteries! maybe cuz of the new sense, I remember leedroid gave me better battery results in the past similar to cm7.
I'd go with ninja its got better battery life and is even smoother

second pic:
i need explain about this image, is this normal???? or not
if not normal how can i fixed this???
and what the normal range in ram
THANX FOR YOUR ATTENTION
Hm, its very hard to understand you, but if I got it right: Theres nothing odd about your pictures, the appicons inside the red circle is just shortcuts to the latest used apps, doesn't mean they are running atm.
Your memory used and free in second picture is absolutley normal for stock rom. And you dont really need to kill apps, let the phone handle that it self, it will be fine. Advanced taskmanager is pointless in my opinion.
Be well

If you can get it from Amazon you may even be able to get 2 batteries and a charger for not much more than price of one battery

If you are asking about a better battery, yes like the others before said, try the anker batteries. Great battery for the money.
However if you are indicating that you are loosing charge faster than stock, then you may have a few issues. Either you are using an older version of clockwork recovery or it can be a kernel issue. Both are easily fixable. For clockwork, open up Rom Manager and update that if you haven't already. And for the kernel, try another kernel.

thanx to all
may be you are right
iam try a new kernal but i need a new version and the best from you

My preference is plain old stock kernel. Stable and everything works. But the bricked kernels I try from time to time.
Tip..
go to Display settings and lower your screen brightness you will have longer battery Life .
Hi.
I have recently bit the bullet and upgraded my sensation to one of the leaked ice cream sandwich roms purely because I fancies a change. My initial impressions were that it was not really offering anything different however one major plus is the battery life as it's definitely better. Not sure what they have tweaked or turned off however its certainly better.
Anyone else noticed any big improvements when running one or three leaks?
Cheers

Yep, I thought the same, I'm running RCMix v2.1 and it seems better than it did with stock, could be an illusion though as I only had it stock for a few days so was constantly using it!
Thats one thing I have noticed, its a nice new look, and battery is a lot better
ty
It is definitely better battery life. I'll post up some stats once I settle on a ROM.
i noticed that,too...and it's on stock kernel, imagine how good it will be when htc releases kernel source and our great devs make them even better
Pretty light usage. 50 minutes screen on time and just 20 minutes of calls. But still 75% at the end of the day is awesome.

I've got the opposite experience, been trying 3 ICS ROM:s so far and the battery life is overall about 2/3 of the latest offical sensation rom release. The standby time has improved, but i watch a lot of videos and the battery then burns about 30% per hour.
I'm on the verge to revert, as it is now I have to charge atleast 2 times a day.
Have you upgraded your firmware to match Billun?
My Sensation worked fine without issue without using the firmware on an ICS build but then I altered to the new ICS firmware and my battery life nearly doubled.

Yes, I did upgrade the firmware aswell.
I've also tried to install the full RUU beta but the battery lifetime is the same.
As it is now I have to charge atleast once every 12 hours.
The standby time is very good but as soon as i start using the phone i can literally see the battery disapper.
I've been using the ICS version of Insert Coin for a couple of weeks, and I've found the battery life to be worse than under Gingerbread. I'm hoping that's just because of the beta nature of the ROM :-/
Hy everybody. I am going to buy a Nexus 5 but I saw that the benchmarks points are more little than the same hardware LG G2 and Sony Xperia Z1. Why? Is there thermal throttling? The hardware is same, but Nexus 5 always gets less benchmark points. Why? Because of thermal throttling? Please help me, thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english.

first off.. the lg g2 and the n5 DO NOT HAVE THE SAME HARDWARE. the n5 would be the g2 if it did. they share the same cpu that is tweaked differently for each device. also, stock g2 will bench higher that a stock n5 because the g2 includes a propriety optimized dalvik/bionic. these differing proprietary dalviks/bionics can be flashed onto the nexus 5 as well. when you add these dalviks/bionics to the n5, they tend to score much better. have you ever seen a g2 score this? my nexus 5 did..

personally, i enjoy the z2 dalvik/bionic on my n5 and n4. it gives me the highest numbers.
but thermal throttle does exist. and will slow down your cpu above a certain temperature(to cool off). since i do enjoy the benefits of root, i keep thermal throttle disabled 100% of the time, and use the thermal shutdown temp of 105C as my safety
And last question, which ROM and kernel do you use?

Hey guys, would love to know which Rom or mod gives the best battery life for our mobile. I am on stock and planning or changing up if any of them are worth it. Please do reply. And FYI I am still a noob so do be kind haha. Peace ✌

haha well thanks. I get around 4 to 4.30 min screen on time with a lot of clash of clan haha. Like 2 hours of clash of clan !! Its good but i just wanted to know if it can be made even better.
Yea stock is best unfortunately. But with medium use I end the day around 50% battery life with cm12.1, although I do not pay for data and keep GPS off until needed and limit play services' ability to wake CPU.

I'm with a terrible serviced carrier network called Wind Mobile so the battery is always being drained just keeping connection with cm12.1 / custom roms I get about half a day until I gotta charge it up from about 13% with stock I get way over. That's the one thing I'll give Motorola, I literally just root and use xposed for any of my needs and with marshmallow coming layers is built straight into aosp so theming is also an added bonus. I'm actually really looking forward to a stable MM release.
okay then guys, thanks. will stick to stock and wait for MM .
For me pac rom works vey good and battery is great. I go to work 7.00 am and stop working at 3.30pm between that time i lost 5-7 % battery. I use viber messenger lot and internet short time in my coffee breaks. I can give thumps for pac rom.
How about kernels vs battery usage?
Stock, Squid or blu_spark?
Stock rom and blu_spark r92 gives the best battery drain:

As a former Torontonian, I feel you. Basically every carrier in Canada is inadequate, and very expensive. With my carrier and kernel settings, my phone has 7 hours of SOT. I'm using a carrier that has good coverage over the entire country, and it has LTE only.
After using all roms i found that stock rom gives the maximum sot
