What is this "1" status icon on top bar represent? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

i have "1" (numeric) icon beside the "3G" icon on my raphael.
its been there since the beginning. ever after a 2nd hard reset and clear storage.
anybody knows why its there?

It's supposed to mean that you have a dual sim and are using the first number.

dual sim? how can that be? i am just using 1 sim and no other slot for the 2nd sim

Its means it's using Line 1, some telcos allow you to have 2 lines to make calls.
Vinh

oh ok thx. i thought something is wrong with my raphael

you can disable it by choosing non videocall phone skin (throught advanced confing e.g.)

Strange Icon in taskbar

hello at all
what ist this for an icon on the left side of the USB icon?
I never see this bevor. i know whats the icon for, but theres no way to make the icon invisible.
I flasht a new rom, and there is it too.
3 roms i tryed, on 2 is this icon.
i dont like it, because it was never there
is there a way to make this invisible?
i hope you can help me
The Line 1 icon represents that the Line 1 on your SIM card is the currently active line.
The actual Service Name is called 2-in-1 Sim Service. See HERE for more info. Though that article is quite old, it seems many providers now support 2-in-1 Sim Service for Business customers that wish to have a Business Number AND a Personal Number all on one device.
If you'd like to remove the icon, I'd recommend talking to your provider about the service to see if you can disable it.
the strange thing is, i have this icon only on 2 roms.
On the other roms i have this icon not. I never change
any options at my provider and have not 2 nummbers,
i only flash a other rom.
thanks forn the help

Hide "no sim" status icon?

Is it possible to hide the status icon indicating no sim card?
I'm using a nexus one (cyanogen's froyo) on wifi only. There is always an icon on the status bar with an exclamation point indicating no sim card is inserted and when I lock the phone it says "No sim card. Emergency calls only. Please insert a sim card." Needless to say I have no intention of inserting a sim card. Can I make those messages go away?
Hi! and no i dont think you can, The "insert simcard" is a Part of the System
But Why don't you just insert a simcard?
I carry two devices, a nexus one and an N900. I only have one sim card so I used to tether the N900 to the N1. Recently I ditched my calling plan for a data-only plan and use google voice for calls/texts. Because the N900 has better support for google voice, I swapped the sim and tether the N1 to the N900.
On the N900 I can hide the "no sim" icon if I want to.
ehmmm i see The n900 is an amazing device...
I don't think you can, i can make mine the same colour as the taskbar
(cyanogenmod) 6 but i don't think you can on an stock rom
What if you were to put the phone into airplane mode?
I forgot everything about that! that could maybe Help!
So, what worked?

Remove SIM2 icon Jelly Bean

Goodevening everyone
I have an Alcatel One Touch Star (6010d) , a dual SIM phone. IN the status bar I have 2 signal strenght icons: 1 for the first SIM and one for the second SIM. But I never use a second sim, so I am looking for a long time how to remove the second signal strength icon (sim2 icon) from the status bar. Is there anyone who knows which line I have to edit?
Greetings
My wife has this phone too, we just bought it for her, but it looks like you can not disable the second SIM which in our case will not be used.
So we have a dual sim phone, but only use one sim. It is annoying to keep seeing the SIM2 status icon which says you have no sim card inserted.
Can it be disabled?

Use Dual SIM version as a single SIM

So, I have the dual SIM version U11 (6GB/128GB). I mainly use it with a single SIM with no SIM card in SIM 2 slot. It is annoying that it would show all the related icons/details for SIM 1 even though there is no other sim. For example:
The signal icon always has a "1" above it.
SMS messages always have the SIM 1 icon next to them.
In the lock screen, the operator/carrier name has "(SIM card 1)" next to it.
Phone dialer call button has the SIM 1 name next to Call.
Call history enteries all have the SIM 1 icon next to them.
I thaught this was only supposed to happen when I have 2 SIMs, but I have it all the time. This is with the 1.13 & now 1.27.401.5 versions. I know Samsung does it the right way as with the S8+ there will be nothing shown when only 1 SIM is used.

Dual Sim Question

For those on dual sim, does data on the secondary sim ever get used. In Sim Card Mgr there is a toggle to use it during a phone call but other than that , say my primary data sim is poor, I wish it would use the one with the better connection automatically but I do not think this is an option

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note, SM-N986B/DS.
No, my experience is, you can't set data usage to automatically,
But why don't you just choose Sim2, for data usage.?
While back i had 2 x Sims in my device.
(One Sim is a just a data Sim, loaded with 10 gigs data each month )
The other Sim only had 1 gig data on it, each month .)
I set my preferences as follow in Sim Manager ......
Calls.... Sim 1
SMS.... Sim1
Data ( mobile)... Sim 2
Worked fine.
No issues.
If i switched my mobile data on it would
use Sim 2 data.
However,
I have since changed my setup.
Took second Sim out of phone,
as i experience
"more battery drain" (overnight )
than when i was using
only one sim and/or sd card.
Good luck.

Yes ,it's was just the opposite situation for me ,where i had more data on Sim 2 .
However, overall i guess it never worried me, as i am 90% on wifi .
I also noticed ,more battery use age of keeping mobile data on ,than wifi.
I guess the only option left ,would be to manually, change to preferred data Sim .
As far as i can remember the best option ,
( when i had 2 Sims in my phone )
i would swipe down to expand phone quick settings
and my Sim preferences , showed ,just under the phone ,quick settings icons .
I would then long press on the preferred data Sim choice and change it there.
It was better than going all the way to Sim Manager .
Good luck

Hmmm, the battery thing is interesting. I've tried so hard to get dual sim, flashing TMB onto Unlocked but now the battery thing is a bummer. If that is what causing it. I just turned off 120 refresh rate to see if that improves battery
In Quick Settings I see where I can click on one of the sims on the top and it takes me to the sim card menu but I wish it were just a toggle instead of taking to the menu

Firstly,
Yes, only thing you can do
is "toggle" it manually, like you described.
Secondly,
with 2 x Sims in my phone
i found that my average "sleep" over night
was example......
+- 12 % battery drainage, over period of +-8/10 hours (sleep.)
Further the way i see it,
is that even with phone in
sleep mode, it still trying to get better signal reception.... x 2...? whilst
This i checked via Betterbattery app.
Secondly,
I am back on one sim.
My average sleep overnight is
8 % for 10/12 hours sleep.!
Bottom line,
It's your phone.
That battery diffs, is no big deal...
For me it was an irritating issue. thats all
If you happy with 2x sims
keep it that way!
Good luck

Previously, say I had Sim 1 for data and Sim 2 for calls and i got a call on Sim 2, then Sim 1 was unable to access data but this has now changed with N20U
If I understood this correctly then I think my device is different cos regardless of which Sim is primary or secondary, I have an option under settings>connections>mobile networks> allow all Sims to use data in calls, which I can toggle on or off. I have found selecting this allows the other sim to use data which was not possible in some earlier android versions.

But not when I'm in a call. I needed to use data from my secondary sim because I was in a dead spot for first sim. I had to go to sim card menu in settings and change primary sim and then change it back eventually. I did use the shortcut from the pull down menu but I wish I had a toggle , ideally from Nova Launcher
I am interested to purchase a SM-N986B DS for my dual sim work/personal cell in the US near NYC. I have metro PCS and Verizon. Will this phone allow verizon to operate as the second sim? It would be a non-data sim. I know it is a GSM phone and not CDMA but also read that the LTE bands may be compatible at 4g/5g. Curious before I take the dip to buy and find out it won't work...
