Unable to scroll through emails after opening one - General Topics

I had this problem before updating to 6.1 last week. The problem was fixed but now it is back again. What happens is when I open an email and then "ok" out of that email, when I go to scroll up or down to open another, the D-pad just doesn't seem to work. I have to choose the next email by touching the email on the screen. Anyone else experience this??? It is a real inconvenience!!

Contact List problem with Touch Cruise

Anyone experience the following problem ?
I tap onto the "Contact" button at the main screen and instead of showing me all my contact numbers, it was all blank. I fired up the HTC Cube and surprisingly, all my phone numbers that are stored under the "Favorite Contact" were all missing! There were no numbers/pictures. I had to do a soft reset and then all my contacts are back again. But I had to manually add all my favourte contacts back in to the Touch Cube again. This happened twice to me.
Another issue is that when i press the "Contact" button at the main screen, usually my contact list will appear and then on the right side it shows the alphabetical order right ? Just like the following :
#
A
B
C
D
E
.
.
.
.
Z
Today, it somehow disappeared. Did i disable it or anything ? Is it possible to disable ?
I noticed that my contacts disappeared whenever I disconnected from the Internet. This was because Windows Live Synch Options were configured to "As Items Arrive" and I also synchronized my contacts directly from Hotmail. After I changed the Sync frequency to "Every 15 minutes" my TC was much faster and contacts stayed in the contact list everytime I was offline. Don't know if this is the problem in your case but hope it helps.
Hmn.. I don't think thats my problem because I don't synchronize my contacts directly from hotmail.
Anyway, thanks for responding still!
Under contacts, go to
Menu > options
The first option is "Show alphabetical index".
Make sure it's UNCHECKED. This should bring the HTC random access back (the grey alphabetical strip).
If it's already unchecked, check it, go back to contacts and then repeat the process, unchecking it this time.
Good luck.
Ok.. that works... but how come it happened it the first place ? I didn't check it. It just disappear.

Genius, fixed it for me, thanks
i have the same problem with the alphabet scroll bar. sometimes when i open contacts from the contacts soft key it appears as a nomal scroll bar i do a soft reset and its back to normal. not sure why it disappears though.
Yeah I've seen the alphabet scroll bar disappear before, haven't noticed a pattern yet. I didn't need to soft reset to get it back though, not 100% sure so don't quote me.
Polaris - Touch Cruse not keeping certain settings.
I have the same issue and the fix work for me also. I lose the A – Z list on the right side when I shut the phone down. I also lose the selected keypad and TomTom from the today screen even though it is selected to be there and the same kind of fix works. I don’t even have to uncheck it and recheck it. I can just go to Start, settings, Today and then Items and see the list but just hit OK and then it’s back. For the keypad I have to select the one I want again. This seems to happen every time I have to power it all the way down.
I had the same issue; now it's fixed... THX!!
Touch Cruise - Contacts - Missing alphabetical list

Messages... closes when i hit the center of the d-pad

Did a quick search and couldn't find the answer... but i am running Dutty's latest 6.1 ROM (6-Mar) using radio .04....
when i use the messages button, then i select either sms/mms or an email account, then to the first message and hit the center d-pad button and the screen automatically closes and goes back to the today screen. (sometimes happens also when i hit the "r" on the keyboard to reply).
Is this normal for 6.1 ROMs??? i've done a couple hard resets and this has happened on all the 6.1 ROMs that i've tried.
TIA!!
is nobody else having the same problems?
Same thing happens to me
No, i didn't have this problem. I disable the account picker, but i enable them to reproduce this problem... i didn't get the error.

Anyone using Fuze with Good e-mail?

My company insists on using Good e-mail. It seems to work on the Fuze, but I suspect there are some incompatibilities around the edges.
For example, if I soft reset, the phone will sometimes hang when restarting and loading the Good security / password screen.
Similarly, most of the time when I soft reset, the task manager icon fails to load in the upper right corner of the status bar. Once this happens, I cannot get the task manager to load unless I get lucky on a later soft reset.
I have updated to the latest version of Good, but that did not help.
Finally, since Good maintains its own e-mail and calendar separate from the Microsoft applications on the Fuze, I don't see my appointments or e-mails in TF3D, nor do the soft buttons at the bottom of the screen link to the Good versions of calendar, contacts or e-mail.
Anyone else have any experience with any of this?
TIA,
Ira

HTC Messaging Failure

Hey guys, I need some guidance if anyone actually happen to get this problem. When the phone is left on for some time, I went to slide the tab to the messaging tab, and tap on the "all message" softkey... Unfortunately nothing changed... The messaging manila interface remains... Then when I tried opening the showcase application by pressing the send key button long, it doesn't appear... After a softreset everything returns normal... Anyone??

Annoyance with HTC's Contacts Manager...is there a fix???

I have searched for days for this and can't seem to find anything out! Maybe this does not annoy anyone else! BUT, it is really the only thing that annoys me about my Telus Touch Pro2 with the stock ROM...
When I find a contact from the "All People" list of contacts and select it, it opens the contact card. Now assume I accidentally selected the contact right next to the one I want. So I touch the back soft key or press the back hardware button and it returns to the "All People" list again...BUT it takes me right back to the beginning!!!! WHY!!!! I want to go right back to where I was!!!
Has anyone found a fix for this????
