Hi all, I've a big problem...at work give me a used IMate 9000 flashed with this:
CE OS 5.2.1708 (Build 18508.0.7.0)
ROM 2.07.00 WWE
ROM DATE 08/02/07
Radio version 1.18.00
Protocol Version 42.54.P8
I've started...everything seems to work well but...then I tried to shutdown...doesnt work, to restart I've to detach the battery!!!
Anyone can help me? I've to enable something? Or I've to flash it with a better version?

Uni never does shut down unless battery removed you must be a newby...

Some suggestion where find a good and stable release to flash my IMate? I read something in this forum but everywhere the upgrade have some problem (wi-fi, video-calling, etc etc)...so...what I've to do??

it depends on what you are looking for in a rom. some want it clean, some want it all out. depends on the user too on how they handle the rom. shadow roms are good and stable, varanusvincent's too. Touch evolution is stable too but all out on apps and graphics. up to the user which they want. me?, i like it simple clean but not too clean.. need a lot of memory so my prophet would run as fast as atom life. ^_^
this is just IMHO...

Cant agree more....device is fine OS is also good and smooth only -ve is less no. of apps....

There is no such thing as 'best' in ROMs. You have to investigate yourself about the ROM and if satisfied, try it and you should decide whether its best for you. Good Luck!

There is no such thing as a "Best ROM".
Search the Dev forums, download the ones that tick your boxes, try them out and decide for yourself.
