I read a lot on this forum, but I can't find the solution on how to play flash elements on websites in the Opera browser?
When I go to the Adobe website, and try downloading flash it gives me the Windows version and apparently not a mobile or lite version.

I understand that the new Skyfire browers, which is in beta right now, allows for flash and just about every other plug-in available on a desktop. Unfrortunately, it is available to US beta participants at this time only.
Well, flashlite has been leaked, so now you can!

I agree - some direction or more detail would be appreciated? To my knowledge the latest version of Flash-Lite is 3.1 and this doesnt help at all?
See details from Adobe here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashlite/version/
.
When MS announced WM6.1, they also announced a ie browser update coming in the q4 that would come with flash3 and silverlight. I just kinda assumed eventually we'll have it in rom and by then opera would be able to access those plug ins.

This does nothing for Flash for Opera 9.5. You need FlashLite 3.1... and even with that, it's not working well on most sites.

so what needs to be done? I new lite version?
its working for me. Youtube works fine. Some other sites i tested worked too.
I did have some problems with long pages containing lots of flash objects when zooming in. It would draw all the flash items ontop of each other. But mostly it works well on my TP

Seems to be only working on certain hardware... Touch Pro and Hermes are two confirmed to be working for most who own them.
I can't get flashlite 3.1 to work on my raphael. Youtube or whatever just crashes. Help please?
where do you download flash lite 3.1?

Hi Guys,
I thought Raphael supports flash on web pages. Now the basic flash animations on any web pages does work on mine as well, but it can't play any embedded videos on any web page, says it requires flash player. Any idea on how to get that working?
Cheers..!!!
try skyfire from skyfire.com
Flash Web
Skyfire is the only Mobile Web Browser To Date That is Server Based And Has Built in Flash For Streaming Videos As Of Now..MicroSoft Had Deep Fish But Never Finished It.So I would Just Go with Skyfire Untill further Notice Or IE Gets Flash haha
+1 for skyfire.
+ 1 more for Skyfire.
Is there a way to get skyfire to work in landscape?
The simplest way to do that AFAIK is to slide out the keyboard. A program like Gyrator will probably also do the trick.
Hope this helps!

I have a LG incite - WM 6.1 and it just crashes on me.
Says to send crash.txt but to where?
Other thing is if I click the video link page thats installed a browser called Netfront pops up . How do I set default browser to PIE?
Yes I also get the crash in PIE if I just go to youtube with it.
you need to be using the recompiled version of tcpmp
it can be found here.
because tcpmp isnt getting made anymorew then it obviously wont be making it compatible with anything in the future so someone (?) got the old build and remade it to work with 6.1
Look for TCPMP-0.72RC1.cab
It works on my Incite

The question is: Is it better than Opera 9.5? I tried it before and didn't like the way it renders webpages. Used Picsel for a while, but found Opera to be the best for my needs.
Thanks for the info regardless.

ill give mach 5 a try. I hate ie cuz it lags so much and eats rams like cheese cake. So does opera. where can i download mach 5?
What version of Opera do people have working on their Uni? I have 9.51ß build 2723. I've got 1.4MB on Flash Disk (or could go on SD) and 375k in main memory.
How have others managed to configure Opera, and does it gobble up all available memory?

Rajiv,
Mach5 is not bad. It certainly is going to give Skyfire a run for it's money - especially as Mach5 supports VGA - yes!
The only thing is I wonder how much they will be selling it for, once it's out of the trial stage?

Sorry orb, I can't remember where I got it from. I think it must have come from the Uni forum somewhere! I was expecting it to see in your list!
I re-did the opera.ini file myself to get it working on the FlashDisk . I haven't created a cab, but simply unzip "Opera 9.51ß b2723 [fd]" to the FlashDisk and "Opera 9.51ß b2723 [m]" to main (\) after flashing or hard resetting. Then create link to OperaL (also attached - remove .txt extension to use). To lower main memory use, delete the widgets folder if you don't use them.

Man I want this for WM as well; looks very nice! We're closing in on desktop browsing on mobile devices.
This looks great! But from the features demonstrated, it seems to act very similar in many ways to Opera Mini 5 beta, so you can pretty much try it out now from the look of things.

or maybe you can find Skyfire in the MS Marketplace.
thanks guys
i installed skyfire,it has gave me video back when browsing thankfully, tho not without probs on some sites, streams really slowly whereas when i was on the same sites previously with IE it streamed very smoothly.
Also is there any option to watch video full screen when browsing,as i can only seem to make it zoom in which is ok but the fact i cant get the address bar or skyfire toolbar to dissapear makes the viewable screen too small.
tap the icon on the bottom right (where the settings are). There you will find "Fullscreen Mode" to hide the adressbar and toolbar.
