Disable Opera exit confirmation - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Does anybody know how to disable exit confirmation from Opera? Except clicking minimize

Anybody???

^^^^^^^^^ for this answer, I'm looking too. Google trolling is not helping at this time.

on one of the old opera versions, it was under opera:about. not sure if its still there, but will give you a place to look.
edit: i ment opera:config

If it is in 'about:config', I can not find it.

I'm also looking for this setting.
At about:config there is no such option.
I use Opera since years, but the exit confirmation falls on my nerves.

I have installed and it's rather nice, data usage more than mini bout 2.5x on large pages, it's quick on page load, it's got a neat cube effect for history, got tabed browsing trying to get used to as it has no open in new tab, can't work out how to get to home page without closing or setting as bookmark. Oh and a mouse pointer like mimi.

yeah, the home page thing is goofy. other than that i love it. i turned off that page overview though. it was annoying me. so far it's very fast. i might use this over opera.

you are a gentleman and a scholar.
i appreciate the quick run down. i guess ill give it a shot...
edit: hahah jeez..i make it sound like its manual labor to download and install....it must be monday...or im that damn lazy and unmotivated.
forgot to mention: i'm running the t-zones on t-mobile.
hmmm, other than having to get use to it and no obvious active zoom in and out buttons...i like it.
Also I'm gonna try and tweak the registry a bit...the scrollbars are WAY too thick.
can't find the registry settings...any help?
it looks like there is code available on the download page. that's not really my area though.

Yeah it was hardcore having to install that .cab, Just wanna congratulate you on your sticky that's slick.
After a bit of use i would say it's nice and free, but does not compare to Opera Mobile or Mini, i could see in the future it could with a little bit of tweaking, Home Page, Open in new tab.
Will keep it on phone and hope updates solve this.

If your new, what you do is use this button called "Search" button. Every site I have registered for, and trust me - when i say every site, i mean a lot of them be it mobile, car etc. How is that I've always been able to find my way by using the "search" button but most new users will not do that. Give the search button a try and just see the results, almost everything has been gone over.
Welcome to the site and Enjoy your stay here.
To answer your question, it's because you need to install TCPMP (A Media Player with special flash codecs) or search for vTAP for you to play youtube videos. Good Luck!
P.S: Noone is trying to be rude or mean, it's just that some members get ticked off because everyday we have newbies coming in and asking the same questions. Go through the first few stickies and you'll find that almost all your questions have been answered.
i do have tcpmp installed but it still comes up with error i did search but it came up with irelevent answers like unrecognised usb etcs
i think ill give the iris a miss

Is it possible to open new tabs in background in Opera Mobile?

I'm using Opera Mobile on WM6.5
I want to open tabs in backgound like middle-click a link in IE/Firefox/Chrome. Is it possible to do that? I looked through Opera:config and find nothing related.
Any one can tell me is it possible?
is there anyone know how to do it?
Click-and-hold on the link then select "Open in a new tab"

thanks two-face, but what it will do is open in FOREGROUND not background. I have to switch back to the origin tab, which is quite annoying when trying to open a couple of links from a search result page.
I'm asking for a tweak or hack to make "Open in a new tab" work in background.
Since no working workaround is replied I'm presuming it is IMPOSSIBLE to open a new tab in background in Opera Mobile 9.5.
im interested to find out as well. its really annoying having to switch back to the old tab all the time

type "opera:config" in the url box without the "s. Its somewhere there, i forgot where specifically so take your time and look around a little. It says "maximum number of tabs allowed" or something, and mine's set to 8.

Just thought I should be specific. Type "opera:config" in the url box. Scroll down, tap on "User Prefs". Scroll down and look for Maximum Allowed Tabs. Change the number to your liking, scroll down somemore and tap save.
also interest in the anwser too

don't want to start a new thread for such a simple question...I googled and everything, but how do I get rig of that Yandex search engine and have google as default engine instead?
I think when I first downloaded opera, it somehow decided that I am Russian and -ru.cab was downloaded and installed.
I removed that version and downloaded english version with my pc, but it somehow has the same previous settings (favs, and yandex search engine too)
I even deleted opera folder in registry after I removed opera, but it did not help

I don't now if that's usual in you country, but in mine, saying that someone has smoked [drugs, I suppose] is an insult. I ask to the moderator to remind you that this is a forum, when people with doubts and questions needs useful answers, not stupid esnob answers. If you like insult people go to a football stadium and, please, leave this forum right now!
On the other hand, I'm sorry but Flash doesn't work on Opera 10 as is, as a lot of users are saying in a lot of forums. If you have the key to activate it (by changing preferences, register keys, or any third app,) you should share this information with the other instead of insult them....
@Pere
Just maybe if you read the thread from the beginning you would of seen the second post in this thread by souljaboy
"u gotta turn it on in operas menu tho , and it switches itself off sometimes for me"
Although perhaps he should of explained for you how to do it, well it's really simple by default it's off so go to Opera then choose Settings, then Advanced and click Plug-ins to ON. You now have the Flash enabled in Opera Mobile 10 personally mine has never turned itself off although reading through the posts some seem to of had this problem. So if it stops working just check Plug-ins is On hope that helps and you now see and have Flash working in Opera Mobile 10.

Thank you Marc, I already had enabled Plug-ins ON before the souljaboy's advice, with no success. I don't know why, but I can't see flash on my device with the Opera 10 final (With IE I can). Perhaps I have any software conflict. I'll try to install it after a Hard Reset

[Q] XDA homepage is looking weird.

Hi, I have been getting this 'weird look' for the XDA-developer (dot) com homepage. I tried both (the latest stable) chrome and (latest stable) firefox. It has been like this for about a week now. All other pages (portal, forum, wiki, etc) look normal but just the homepage is seemingly broken.
The moment I signed up to answer the question, the homepage is back to normal now. It is now back to normal on firefox too.
What freakish sorcery is this? My intention with this query is more of curiosity. Why does this happen? It is also happening with the dell.com (worldwide) website. What is technically (possibly) going wrong behind the scenes here?
Thanks in advance. :good:
I have the same issue. I don't know about Firefox, but on chrome you just have to click the shield icon in the address bar and click on whatever option comes up there (I can't remember exactly what it says but it should be fairly obvious) and it should sort refresh the page in the correct layout. Annoyingly, AFAIK you're going to have to do this every time you visit the portal.
Sent from my NexusHD2 using xda app-developers app
I haven't been getting this issue, but I've seen it before.
I'm not a web developer, but maybe CSS style information not loading correctly ?
When I get this issue, refreshing the page usually works for me. I get it when our connection lags, too - and doesn't load everything (er, I think that's what's going on, anyway).
That fixed the error!

+1, I think it may be something to do with one of the plugins I have installed, since on another laptop on chrome there seems to be no issue.

You were right. Its being caused by the 'HTTPS Everywhere' extension. When I disable, it, the page loads correctly. I had that installed on my firefox too. I hope XDA soon moves their complete website to HTTPS. The extension doesn't seem to have any settings where I can acknowledge an exception.

How to autofill a custom text fields in a web page?

Hi,
There is a browser extension for PC like this one:
Autofill
The most popular autofill extension, boosting productivity since 2010.
chrome.google.com
That can auto fill text fields of your choosing and not just addresses or payments info. I am looking for a way to do that but on Android.
I'm not really too sure, but I know when I lightly searched running "browser extensions" on Android OS, while mobile Chrome won't run them, there are other browsers (don't ask me, I meant to research further which ones) that do implement extensions -- maybe you'll have some luck using those browsers that might have a similar/same extension....just an idea...
