i dont know if it is a custom rom issue. but most time i cant switch my keyboard to other installed sip (for example hikeyboard or resco keyboard). its in the list, but when selecting it, it remains the standard htc keyboard. the only think i can switch are the htc sips (keyboard, touch qwerty, touch keypad ...)
however. on some reboots its possible to switch to hikeyboard. but not always.
any ideas?
ps. im using ukD Diamond R8 WWE ROM

Hi guys, i just updated my Artemis to use WM6 "[11/11/07] Artemis Touch 3.01 WM6 WWE ROM, 5.2.1921 SDHC (Full, Lite and Vanilla)". And it comes with XT9, which for me.. is REALLY anoying... i really don't use it at all, and since i'm dutch the english words arn't really representive for me.
searched the forum for Xt9 doesn't give me any results, and online i can only find hacks that also disable the shift key or whatever. I can disable it temporarily by changing to one of the other keyboard layouts, choose ABC and then turn to the regular keyboard.. But after a few seconds it will reapear.
Also a site said that alt+spacebar gives you a selection screen to turn it off.. But then again the onscreen keyboard hasn't got a alt key......
So how can i permenantly turn it off, without losing any other functionality?
use sip change that will change the default unput method for the soft keyboard
Hi, AstainHellbring.... I found V1.1 on the forum, but it let's me choose the input method but doesn't allow me to disable xt9..... can't find any newer version.
I installed the xt9-disable-cab but then I couldn't type text messages anymore. All i got were numbers.
I uninstalled the cab and text messages worked fine again. But when I want to add a contact or add a task, all I get are numbers.
I use the keypad to type because all keyboards have qwerty layout (I'm belgian). I tried the Touch Keyboard but again, only numbers. The only way I can type is using the standard Keyboard.
Suggestions anybody? (suggestions regarding azerty keyboards are also welcome)
uninstall pcmkeyboard if you have installed...
Don't have pcm keyboard installed
it happens on bepe's 0.67 if T9 disabled. only on touch keybord. but touch query & windows defoult keypad is working well.
It was the xt9-disable cab. After uninstalling nothing changed but after a soft reset everything was back to normal.
I have read about changing the registry key. But i'm guessing the cab file does the same, just changing the registry key or am I wrong?
I installed ROM EnergyROM 2.0. and now my keyboard (hardware keyboard) on MDA Vario IV (HTC Touch Pro) is not working well
when I press FN button, it opens calendar, all other keys are some shortcuts, and numbers are not working..
do you have any fix for this? is there a way to make it work normal? how it worked before?

every time i use the D-Pad my SIP-keyboard disappears.
this is very annoying.
i have this problem on hermes (checked different ROMs)
i know this does not have to be that way. i checked wizard (original ROM) and blueangel (WM6.5 ROM).
on both devices the SIP keyboard stays on screen when i use D-Pad.
does someone have a solution for this ?

I have some problems with Touch Pro hardware keyboard. It works fine but some of it buttons dont do what i expect. When i click FN it open Calendar, When click CAPS it turn FN light and some other buttons act strange. I love my touch pro but this bug is annoying becouse always need turn on virtual qwerty to find what i need and cant clink on hardware keyboard. I am useing EnergyROM but what version i dont know but it use HTC sence 2.1.

If you own a Touch PRO, use the "Keyboard Selector" application under Utilities > Tweaks (after you flash the ROM) to select the "Pro" keyboard layout. The ROM comes with the Fuze layout enabled by default.

I getted TP with custom ROM already and it wasnt "configed" for TP. Thanks for help.
