Storage card cant be deleted - Touch Cruise General

I have a Storage card (SanDisk Micro SDHC, 8 gb) in my HTC P3650 (Polaris) with WM6.
Since yesterday I can't access a few photo files. They are corrupted.
I tried to delete them, but it wasn't possible. I even couldn't delete anything.
So I tried 'format'. Even this formating couldn't delete any file.
It is also not possible to save files on storage card.
how can I reset or delete or format the storage card?

Solution
Hey,
once got the same problem.
I used software to format the card.
http://www.zdnet.de/hilfsprogramme_fuer_pocket_pc_flash_format_download-39002345-9971-1.htm
The program should be fine, the limited shareware edition is enough to clear the card once.
Have fun dude,

4GB SD card problem

I have just received the Adata 4GB SD card.
I have the following problems:-
I have tried 2 card readers on my computer although one recognizes the card with correct memory size when I try to format the card I get a window at the end of the format saying that windows was unable to format the card. I know there are issues with some card readers so I tried it on my XDA Exec. I format the card and I can transfer files on it with Activesync. But I cannot save photos or videos taken from the camera of the XDA Exec. The worst part is when I try to install software to my exec and I install it to storage card although it installs I search for the installed program and I find it’s not in the storage card but in the exec memory. I tried formatting with Pocket Mechanic and Storage Tools with same results. I also tried again on my PC card reader with Panasonic’s CardFormatter but cannot recognize the device although it recognizes my 128MB SD card. I have checked the forum for solutions but found nothing conclusive. Anyone has solved this problem and can help me before I send the card back?

just reformat your memory card using your phone.
settings>storage>unmount sd card>wait..>erase sd card.
it will work.
SanDisk has a nice utility which will restore files you did not mean to delete. You can choose to restore individual files or whole directories. This assumes you have not done a "real" format of your card, or written a large number of new files over the old ones.
You can get it in their support section.

Damaged SD Card

Hi guys,
My phones micro-sd card has been acting strange and was not being recognized at times by my phone. I then proceeded to put it in its SD card adapter and put it in my Mac and got an error saying the card was unreadable. I then put it in a reader on my PC and everytime I try to access the drive it gives me the 2 errors, "You need to format the drive...etc" and after clicking cancel it says that my drive is an unrecognized file format.
Recuva says it can't read the boot sector and running chkdsk gives me the message that the file format is RAW.
Just tried running ReclaiMe file recovery and it says the card is only 30.6MB while it is actually a 32GB card.
Do you guys think there is any hope? Or should I just move on?
Any help would appreciated. Got a lot of pictures and music I would love to save on the drive, plus ROM backups.
Thanks so much
Bump
I've killed an SD card before.. not sure how.. it had been partitioned EXT3 for a rom on a desire.. then re-formatted to normal..
but the problem came months after without notice one day the camera was failing and the gallery wouldn't open..
I tried a new SD card and things were fine so I figured the SD card died
Try to use MiniTool Partition Wizard on your pc, and delete ext partition and swap stay only on fat32. if that does not work format your card to exfat. If that doesn`t work try use program "winhex"(before i used it, my computer hadnt read my card). I repaired my card 3 times these methods.
You can use this ONLY on memory card reader.

All data vanished off sd card, shows as all free space now. advice?

Hi folks, well I have a 32 gig external sd card that I recently loaded several gigs of music onto for a road-trip I have to take in 3 days.
Tonight I went to copy some files from the internal sd (not the 32 gig external) onto my computer, and it behaved strangely, so I powered the phone off to try again. Once the phone rebooted, both the 5 gig internal sd, and the 32 gig external sd cards report as being empty with all free space available, everything is gone.
I can't run recovery software from windows on the card , because when I mount the card it appears in windows as a portable media device, not a hard disk, so no recovery software recognizes it.
Anyone have any advice as to what I might try, in order to recover my music directories? I'm thinking I might be out of luck.
Thanks in advance

Who is the manufacturer of the card? Is it generic? This is an issue with cheap SD cards. Sounds like it needs to be formatted. Most likely your data is lost. Sorry.
I put the sd card in my older motorola atrix that I just recently retired from service use, booted the atrix to clockworkmod, from there mounted usb storage, and windows did assign the sd card a drive letter - I was able to run a data recovery program (easeus data recovery) and in about an hour recovered all my music to my laptop. Some of its in lost directories etc, but mostly the original folder structure is intact - in any case i've got my music back for my road-trip.
Why the newer lg ultimate 2 i'm now using only mounts the sd card as a portable media device, I don't know, and for the moment it doesn't matter.
thanks evolution
This had me thinking: if I was able to remove the sd card from the lg phone, and put it into the atrix phone, and recover/access the data - then what if for instance, you lost your phone, someone found it and put the sd card into another device/reader, and you had a titanium backup on that sd card- they restored the backup of some of your programs (complete with data)
wouldn't they then have access to some very private information of yours?

SD Card formatted as internal / adaptable storage is not recognized anymore.

Basically I have an SD Card that I formatted as internal memory. It has worked well for about a year now. Today though, the phone told me that the card had been removed and that I should re-insert it. At the same time, it tells me that the very same cards format is incompatible and I have to format it in order to use it. All this while I never removed the card. The phone is a Moto G5 running Pixel Experience.
What I've tried so far is rebooting the phone and taking the card out and inserting it again, in various orders. Inserting the card into various computers, none of which recognize it (as expected). GPartEd shows the space on the card as not allocated.
Is there anything I could do to make that card be recognized again? Or else, to get the data off of it?
If this is not the right forum for this question, please tell me, or, if you're an admin, please move the thread.
When you converted external SD-card to Adoptable Storage it got formatted as internal memory and also encrypted as internal memory is.
AFAIK there is no chance to recover the data stored on because they are AES-encrypted.
