Change qwerty Keyboard onscreen? - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Guys I noticed months ago online they had a on screen qwerty similar to the iphone. I think it was a theme?
I have searched and cannot pull it up, anyone know were that was?
I need a qwerty that shows what I am pushing in bold as I type with one hand.
Thanks!

ok this is weird.
I just got a email that said someone replied... i clicked on it and it is not there.....

Yup I made an error. Deleted it, I Apologize.
Search around for VGA Touch Keyboards. For my Kaiser I use PCMKeyboard, but you have to make sure the keyboard you find will work with a VGA device.

Ok so I put PCM keyboard on the device... and it shows up in keyboards and I can edit it.
I put the theme and keyboard on the device but I do not know how to instal or select it.... any advice???
thanks

go to input settings pick the keyboard
it has options in there to pick what theme and what keyboard you use for pckeyboard

thanks

Make sure you installed the Skin properly. Soft Reset. And Allows click the arrows to the right. Sometimes it looks like there is only two options but if you hit the arrows more appear.

it would be helpful if you said "i got this cab from here (fill in urll)" and "i got this skin from here" (fill in url), "then i took these steps" (list steps in detail) and this is what i got (post screenshot) to help the people here who don't have the same devices as you (as most of us don't) be able to find what you're looking for.

I instaled it onto my device succesfuly.
Then I went to iphone skin thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=349647
I downloaded this .zip and extracted the files:
iPhone skins and layouts.zip
It said to put Eng 2many layout AND 2many skin into the device...
After I did that I clicked on the files and thats when it said, something like incompatible file open in the right application.
I did a soft reset and went to PocketCM and nothing changed.

There should be two files iphone.skin and iphone.layout, those are the two files you neet to copy to program files/pcmkeyboard.
Then you should choose the iphone skin and layout in options.
Make sure to disable pcm keyboard when adding the skins.

Comm Manager and HTC Cube font get all screwed up...

Hi guys I am currently using TNT5.0 on my wizard and I noticed that the Touch syled 10 button Comm Manager and also the Cube's font has changed considerably and no longer looks nice. I have attached screenshots of what I am talking about.
If anyone knows how to fix this short of hard-resetting, I would be very grateful.

Remember if you have added new fonts recently.Get some generic font Ariel is best and paste it into windows folder. now search for any font files in windows folder and rename it. now soft reset your device and delete renamed files.
Hope this helps. Best of luck

Well I was able to get the Comm Manager fixed but the cube would not change back to normal... Oh well... I don't really use the cube anyway, I just don't like imperfections on my fully custom phone you know?

thats a good question... right now i dont have in installed and the fonts are normal. i'll have to look into it when i reinstall it.
Come on, the problem has been mentioned so many times! This is 95% sure due to WeatherPanel, just change the font in this app to another one (i.e.chameleon).

ive just fixed a similar problem. since i installed that **** called livingsoft i started with problems in my font cube (only)
i solved this problem by doing this:
1. i searched all the ttf files in my windows folder (using the resco explorer)
there i found some files, one of them was called sildunir.ttf.
as i didnt recognized that font i searched on the internet, and i found it was the font of my already uninstalled livingsoft program.
2. i tried to rename it and soft reseted.
3. nothing happends.
4. what i did next was to rename the tahoma.ttf font to sildunir.ttf (notice that it is the tahoma font just with a different name)
5. i copy it to the windows folder and it asked me to rename the old file. i did it.
6. soft reset and my problem was solved.
use this as a guide. maybe your font isnt sildunir.ttf, but you recognize another one that is causing this problem.
sorry about my bad english.
cheers from uruguay.

Modified wm6.5 screenlock, much easier to use

the new screenlock for wm6.5 looks much better than the one for wm6.1. and i know that microsoft never meant to imitate iphone. however, the new screenlock is not so easy to use with the slide block sooooo-up-there...
fortunately, i found CHomeVisualEditor.exe, which help me to modify the original screenlock to a much-easier-to-use mode. download the txt file and then rename the file name (just delete ".txt", cause the actual file type is ".cpr"), copy it to "/windows" to cover the original one. the effect pic is shown in the attachment 2.
please be advised if the files don't work, copy them to "/windows/lockscreen" to cover the original ones. then reboot your phone. they shall be working by then.
p.s. i put "silde to unlock" outside the screen (top margin: 640) so you will not see that one the screen. i guess no one need that shown on the screen right...?
note: i updated my rom recently, and found the position of time moved much lower than that of the former one. if the position of time doesn't meet your need, try to open the file as a text format, search for "Layer ID="TimeAppointment" Top". the last number shows the position the time should be present. for your reference, use "-30" for 640x480 and "0" for 480x640.
no one replied. no one need this?
tbh u should have posted this in the Software section...

thanks for your reply. i downloaded your gamepad and put it in my skins folder, and it still didn't appear when i went to apply the it in the settings. i even tried re-installing both morphgear and the snes module but this didn't help.
the strangest thing is that the gamepads appear in the skins folder in my file explorer, but not inside the actual emulator settings...
any idea what im doing wrong?? thanks a bunch!
Did you put both the skin .txt and image file in there? If so then did you try double tapping "name" were it shows skin? At first it didn't seem clickable but it is.

[HELP!!]Restore to original flip clock?

Ok, I've messed up!
Tried to make the lines on the clock go away by overwriting files in the windows file by using resco explorer.
Now i suddently find myself in deep doo-doo.
My flip clock is now all white and i cant take backup off the files becuase it's says "The file is already in use...." or "Not enough space in memory...." (can't translate the exact words, sry).
Is there a cab that would make all this **** go away?
Im seriously almost crying, it feels like my whole phone is ruined :S
Turn sense off and then restart the phone. You should be able to copy the backup files into your windows folder then (just make sure you use something like Total Commander or Resco Explorer - file explorer won't cut it).

Well, this cab will at least install the original flip clock in your Windows folder.
Since I have no idea about the scope of the mess, I cannot guarantee anything.
On the other hand, if you only messed up with the flip clock files, this will be your solution.

Is there any easy ways to remove the box around the clock?
I've got a transparent clock and think the boxes around the clock is annoying.
Is there any cabs for removing them?

Yes... there is another cab... again by smaberg. His threads are actually a good start for some "basic tweaking and modding" your phone.
I can only recommend to go there. To remove the clock background, you will find there this, too.

Just want the transparent box around the clock gone, so I just got the numbers.

Maybe you will find what you want here in this thread..., I think that the Lucida variations meet your request.

Solution to the HD2's crappy keyboard!(updated 10/3/2010!now with working xt9 button)

Ive managed to edit some of the xml files for the built in keyboard and i have to say that it works so much better now.
the idea to make the keyboard work better was inspired by how the buttons were spaced on the iphone. i noticed that they were spaced farther apart compared to the hd2 so i painstakingly edited every buttons' "virtual" position and this has resulted in a keyboard that is much more responsive(the lags seem to have lessened considerably) and accuracy in typing is now at par with an iphone.
i never use xt9 so i just removed it(in the 1st three attachments)w/c also resulted in reduced mis pressing it when trying to press an "A".
i also moved the dpad arrows(also in the 1st three attachments) to the top making the period, comma and spacebar easier to press without mistakes.
the backspace button has been enlarged for better ergonomics.
to lycox, thanks for letting me use your skin. heres the link to the original skin's thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=709916
thanks also goes to p107r0 for leading me in the right direction.
this wouldnt have been possible without XmlGui so big thank yous to programatix.
Instructions: download the attached rar files.unrar and copy all files inside the folder directly to the windows directory of your HD2(you will need a 3rd party file explorer like resco to overwrite the existing files). soft reset. thats it...
i strongly suggest to backup all the files to be replaced just in case something goes awry.
do this at your own risk.please dont blame me if your phone suddenly gets bricked. mine worked perfectly after replacing all files.
please leave a comment after youve tried it.
this is only for portrait mode. i didnt touch landscape coz i dont use it...
if theres anyone kind enough to make a cab file out of this please do.
EDIT: if you need xt9 use the Orig KB Edited attachment
Update: i made a version 2 of the mod with the spaces between the buttons even farther apart. some people might find this more comfortable but the mod sometimes results in "no presses". and by the way i succesfully skinned the spacebar and shift key thanks to dinik and p107r0.use the attached sipmap.dll in the fallout keyboard rar file but its far from perfect.eg:the .com button has disappeared.i have to look into this a bit more to fix it...
if you want the original gtx skin just replace the fallout png files with the ones from the edited kb rar file.
EDIT 2: i added an original version with the arrows at the bottom and the xt9 working.
EDIT 3: i know its a bit confusing but to shed some light on all the attached files heres an explanation.
the first one(Edited KB.rar) is exactly like Edit KB by boogiecornejo.cab except in cab form.
the third(FAllout KB.rar) is like the first two except that its semi skinned with a fallout theme.
the last(Orig KB Edited10-3-2010) contains the files needed to replace in the windows folder to get the functionality of my mod using whatever keyboard you already have(assuming its a normal layout eg: with the directional arrows at the bottom) in your device.
i hope that shed some light on whatever questions there are about the files...
Thanks!
I abandoned the original due to the many typo's. My first impression of your modded version is very positive.
Regards,
How do you switch from alpha to numeric keys (can see how to get back but how do you get to it in the first place)? Does it still use XT9 and error correction as per original even though you've removed the XT9 button?

hello dunc!to switch from alpha to numeric just press the @ button.
xt9 is completely disabled and im not really sure how to turn it on without having to go back to the drawing board. editing the xml file is to say the least "tedious" but if a lot of people would request it back i might, as i said, "go back to the drawing board"
its actually a miracle of sorts that this mod worked coz im not really into developing anything on these forums. this is actually my first real contribution to the community despite having been around for the last 6 or 7 years...
I would like to give it ago but i do use the XT9 function all the time, at the moment i've gone back to the old style phone keypad rather than a qwerty keyboard as it seems to be less laggy and the buttons are far larger (i got fat fingers)
Good work on this though i'm surprised no one else has done something before wish i knew where to start

I've got the same issue. None of the keys match up even though the pop-up of each key press is correct.
EDIT: It looks like it was just an issue with XT9. XT9 must be turned off before using this layout. Just go into any of the other keyboard layouts, select ABC instead of XT9, switch back to Full QWERTY keyboard, and everything works like its supposed to do.
Thank you Boogiecornejo for making HD2 keyboard finally functional. I went from an iPhone to the HD2 and I always missed how well the keyboard worked. Great Work!!
