I notice that the Windows folder is hidden somehow -- is there a way to unhide it or get access to it?
Thanks!
Hmm what file explorer app are you using? On file explorer i can see it and on resco i can see it.
These will help you........

Resco Explorer

Sync your phone with your computer and navigate to it. I dont remember if by default window's is always hidden, but under view options you can display hidden files and folders.

I was writing an email using Pocket Outlook and wanted to attach a file but there seems to be no way to navigate to the file using Pocket Outlook. All it offers are folders. It doesn't seem to allow me to navigate to subfolders.
Is there a way to make this possible or has it been overlooked?
The weird thing is that attaching images allows me to navigate the subfolders. It is just attaching normal files where navigating subfolders is disallowed. Really strange descision.
I usually use resco explorer, select the file and select send via mms/email, it's easier, faster.
There's also a replacement for the default (ridiculous)file picker, you may try to look for that.

I was looking for a replacement, but couldn't find it.
Using resco explorer, is it possible to sende multiple files attached in 1 email?
I tried selecting multiples files and then send via mms/email but nothing happened, but resco has built-in support for compressing files, so, just compress them and send the archive.
Is it possible to create folders in the programs menu? like NATF has done? or as you would have on your PC - for e.g. Media, Internet, Tools etc etc?
many thanks
Yes you can, using a file explorer program (Resco, Total Commander, etc) navigate to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs and create away!
nice! cheers buddy
ok got resco, but how do i move files etc into created folders?
anyoen able to kindly give me an example of how this works please?
Hold your stylus on the file name. This will pop up another menu, including Copy, Move, etc.
I ran the ClearTemp software and it deleted the .lnk file or whatever it's called for my Outlook Contacts icon. So, I can no longer get into my Outlook Contacts. The icon for Outlook Contacts is gone both in the programs and the Start Menu. How do I get the file back, or create a new file? Where are these files located on the phone? They don't show file extenstions with File Explorer, so it makes it really hard to find anything. I can't even find a search feature to search for files. Thank you for your help and time.
If you did this, it's easy to find this.
Edit: BTW, you need TotalCommander.
Thanks for the information, but I'm still not sure what I'm supposed to do. It's very confusing. I just create a text file called anything I want, like outlook.lnk and I just put "poutlook.exe" in that text file? Then what folder does that file go into? Does it matter? How do I get a link on my, "Programs" desktop to it? I'm really confused. Thanks.

Just look in your windows folder with active sync. Organize by file type, and scroll to the .lnk files. That's where you'll find it, although it may have a different name (check initflashfiles.dat if the naming is weird). Copy to the start menu and rename if needed.
Hi,
I just recently received the HTC HD2, and tried installing clearvue/jetcet pdf viewer, as well as foxit pdf viewer. I didn't like them (the clearvue one didn't even work) so uninstalled them.
I now, however, have lost the file association for my pdf files. I changed it using resco explorer ("always open file with" and "include name in brackets"), and now, all pdf files open woth adobereader LE, but there is still no icon for a pdf file in resco explorer.
When checking the registry, it seems that upon choosing which program to open with, it created a new key; I now have "AdobeReaderLE" and "AdobeReader LE.25 under HKLM/USER/Software.
Anyway, it works, but I do'nt have the icon, and when clikcing "properties" it says that the filetype is unknown. Any way to change this (using the registry)?
Thanks
I'm trying to open files from ES file Manager over lan, particularly cbr files but it won't let me saying there are no programs for it. Is there a way you can assign it?
