PIM Backup

Ive saved a backup of my contacts using PIM Backup because i have to change into a non-wm phone. is there a way to view the Backup file using my pc or symbian phone?
anyone knows how?
you can. read my related articles
I do believe you can export the contacts to csv format and many of the Contacts managing tools will allow importing of csv separated data.
Hope this helps
copy the pim backup file to your pc rename the file to a zip file eg. if its called pimbackup15072008.pib rename it to pimbackup15072008.zip. Once you have done this you can simply extract the files inside the zip then you can import them into any device that will accept csv files

[Q] HELP did I lose my backup??

When I created my backup I moved it to a different location. Today I wanted to restore that. So I opened the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows Phone Update% location and nothing was there, folder was empty. So I moved the folder [cryptic file name] containing the backup to that location. I opened zune and checked the folder and my backup was gone. Now there is a new cryptic folder there that is around 300 kb. What happened to my 8GB backup that i put there?

Delete Backup roms ?

I have some backup roms on my sd card and now I want to delete some of them.
How is the best way to delete them ?
There are Three ways, the backups will be individually stored within date and time named directories on the sd card simply delete each one
1) download file manager app like Astro from market, then navigate to /sdcard/clockworkmod/backups and you should find date names directory, delete
2) download ROM manager app from market, use the manage and restore backups option then delete
3) plug your phone into PC, mount sd card as disc and then navigate to directory as named in 1) and delete
Swyped from HTC Desire S using XDA Premium
I keep 2-3 backups on my PC, (one is STOCK rom, other two are most recent ones) and delete the files from the backup folders in /sdcard/clockworkmod/backups I do not delete the folder itself. I only keep one backup in phone for emergencies.
PS: Please post future questions in the general section.

[Q] Transfer backup to PC

First off, sorry if this is not the right place to post this.
I've googled around and can find lots of answers to 'where does ROM manager store backups' but that doesn't help me with this.
In the past I've backed up a ROM then moved it (using something like Root Explorer) to my external card and also because I want a backup on my computer - I just copied the file across.
But now the files (and folders) are invisible to my PC.
I tried moving it, renaming the folder, creating a new folder and moving the contents out of the original folder into the new one... but to no avail. The PC simply cannot see what ever folder contains the backup.
But If I look in the same location using Root Explorer, the backup is sitting there clear as day.
I pretty much always have 'show hidden files' turned on on my PC anyway - why can't I see/transfer the backup to my computer?

Titanium Backup Missing Files

Hi Everyone. I updated my ROM on my S7 Edge as I do frequently. This time Titanium Backup would not restore my files. I'm not sure what happened, but it seems like my backup folder was deleted.
When using Root Explorer, I found a folder called "SD Card Restored" that has a folder inside called "Titanium Backup" containing 440 files which look like what I'm missing. But they are only viewable in Root Explorer. I can't see or access them from anywhere else. I tried ES File Explorer. I plugged the phone into my mac, and it shows an empty folder. I zipped the files and sent them to my mac and the zip is empty. I also uploaded all the files to Dropbox and they do appear online when viewing in my browser, but the desktop Dropbox folder appears empty.
Is it possible to somehow recover these files? Thanks.
Here's a screenshot of some of the filenames: https://www.dropbox.com/s/y4q52r2maxaesiz/Screenshot%202017-02-10%2010.16.48.png?dl=0
