I use Agile Messenger on my Tytn II , and one of the great advantages is, that it wakes the TytnII from sleep mode when a new MSN message arrives.
The Raphael does not seem to let Agile (or MSN messenger) wake the system on new messages.
But worse: It sets me off-line on MSN after pushing the sleep button.
How come?

P.s.
If MSN messenger could wake the TytnII from sleep, I do not remember.
Edited: I was stupidly wrong. AgileMessenger nicely wakes the Pro from sleep when new MSN messenge arrives
Apologize for my stupidity!
Why Agile? I can have more messenger accounts like Yahoo and Google together.

Hi all,
I'd like to use pocket msn messenger on my XDAIIs over my wifi connection, but for obvious reasons i don't want the screen to be on if i'm just idling and not chatting to anyone.. is there any way of getting the screen to sleep (like you can when playing music with PocketPlayer or Pocket Music) but keep the wifi connection alive ?
At the moment i have to turn off the auto sleep feature of the device and keep everything turned on to keep the wifi from going off when the device sleeps.
Cheers
Neil

Using WM6 Pocket Outlook with our Exchange Server. I want my phone to alert me when I get a new email, but not alert me at night.
Pocket Outlook + Exchange lets you specify how often to check for messages normally and during peak hours. I've set the peak hours to daytime and set it to only manually check off hours.
Aside from that or turning off my phone, any suggestions?
I believe you can configure different alerts using PhoneAlarm, but I'm not 100% sure.
Phone alarm works and so does SPB Mobile Suite. I use mobile suite for some of the other features, but it allows me to create profiles, accessible from the today screen, that control all sounds from the device.
I work nights and sleep during the day, so I have one profile called Bed that keeps the ring volume at 80%, implements a whitelist (meaning only peoples numbers on the list will cause the phone to ring), and turns off email, sms and MMS notifications. Then, when I get up, I just click my profile Icon on the Today screen and select another profile, which again can change all notifications etc. You can also have it turn on or off wifi, bluetooth, phone, etc, when a profile changes. An awesome app. Note: PhoneAlarm does all of this and more, so download the trials and see which one works best for you.
Check it out here.

I bet you will end up with one of these, they are awesome.
Just remembered that I think, Phonealarm didn't allow the whitelist/blacklist feature that I wanted and that was my final reason for picking SPB phonesuite.
Hope this helps
I like SBSH PhoneWeaver:

Any ideas how to set up a profile (like I have for the Exchange sync) so that I don't get my phone waking me up in the middle of the night every time it automatically checks my POP3 e-mail.
Sure, I could set it to silent, but then my alarm doesn't go off kin the morning.
Sure, I could sync POP3 e-mail manually, but that's a pain in the arse during the day.
I can set my Exchange sync to only work between certain hours, why not POP3?
bump...just this once.
Not really an answer to the problem but i am usng SPB Time for my alarm functions and that overrides the silent setting and has nice big Off and Snooze buttons as well..
Like your thinking deedee...
I use Profiles for Windows, which can be found here...
http://www.winmobileapps.com/device/pocketpc/pwm/pwm.aspx
I have a number of profiles that switch time through the day and then at night it switches the phone off, then switches it back on at 5:30 in the morning.
Works seemlessly - most of the time.
I have push email and 2 email accounts set to sync every 2 hours. Is there a way to keep push on and still sync the other 2 email accounts but turn off vibration during certain times like at night? I don't want my phone vibrating when I am sleep as it sometimes wakes me up.
Profile managers can do this, e.g. SPB Phone Suite (commercial). Not sure if there are freeware apps vailiable.
You can set yourself up using G-profile and Outlook Email scheduler

Hi,
As the title says, when using TomTom the phone goes to sleep when an email arrives.
I'm already using TomTomStarter which should kill the notifications of email/sms/mms/calendar, and it does but just not for email.
When I get the phone out of standby, I see the home screen and TT is still running in the background.
Now for the (really) strange part, when I resume the TT session and another email gets in, the phone DOESN'T go to sleep...
I also use iGo8 where I haven't noticed this behaviour.
Any suggestions?
Phone: HTC Touch 3G, winmo 6.1
Other software:
- S2U2 (already switched it off, sleep still occurs)
- PhoneAlarm
- TT 7.910
Thanks!!!
