Backup orignal ROM??

I want install WM 6.1 on my htc vox, but before thet i want to take a backup of my orignal Rom.
Can any one plz tell where can i download the orignal rom
or
instruct me how to take a backup of my rom.

I downloaded the latest official HTC rom from the HTC website (you have to register). Of course, I'm using Dr. Gonzo's 6.1 and it rocks!

dont worry
all the shipped roms are present here on the FTP
if anything screws up you can flash one of the shipped roms.

Almost Official: Egypt ROM with GPS Disabled

Dear all,
I dumped the ROM version of Egypt that is not equipped with the GPS support. I didn't test it and I wonder if someone can test it on his device.
This ROM can be used to return back to the original ROM provided by HTC Egypt.
It is almost official because the only modified value in the registry is the following:
HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies
valuename '00001001' was set to dword:1, change it to dword:2
Egypt ROM: Egypt-No-GPS-ROM.rar

HTC TyTN II branded devices in Egypt are not allowed to have enabled GPS although it has the H/W..Forbidden there
I think he wants to flash another ROM and needs someone reassuring that the ROM he dumped is flashable prior his flash

Exactly! I would like to flash another ROM and to keep it on the forum as a reference for those who want to revert back to the original ROM of Egypt.
I think it worked with you, correct?

This is old news. The Egypt roms have never had GPS....

Actually, I didn't try it.
Just happened to have passed by it long back when the GPS-Egypt issue was brought up.

No it's not, it's close but not the original ROM.
There's no original ROM available for download because T-Mobile didn't release it (?yet?), they are far behind with releasing 6.1 for their phones, but that should happen some day, so when 6.1 comes out you can get an official T-Mobile ROM, before that you might want to try that reconstructed ROM, it should work pretty well.

1.72 ROM Upgrade (WWE)

Hi, can anyone please assist to extract the cabs for the 1.72 ROM upgrade as posted in the HTC UK website? I heard the camera flash problem is fixed after this ROM upgrade.

the camera software in the 1.72 rom (the one i installed yesterday) is version 6.26 (build 1922.3428) if that helps...???
and yes! the camera flash problem is solved for me! it still does the 2-stage flash but i think they've tweaked the 'shutter' response...
pics in the dark look much better now

You need to check region. Latest ROM for SEA region is 1.66.

I tried downloading the new ROM, unfortunately it doesnt install on my HD2 saying incompatible with your phone even though I got mine from Vodafone. No clue whats going wrong there.
You can also download the 1.72 ROM from the vodafone website.

dont know about anyone else, but i cant see a 1.72 update for any region on the HTC website... UK/SEA or otherwise

There are no official 6.x ROMs only cooked ones

The ROM you list is for an 8525 not an 8125, don't try to flash this ROM.

Sorry I haven’t flashed a Wizard ROM in a long time I don’t know what ROM would be best for stability.

Probably the stock Rom with don mobile shell or tnt roms
