does anyone know where the original HTC Diamond backside can be ordered?
Unfortunately O2 (may be other german providers also) sells this phone with an different backside (feels rubberised).
Hope someone knows where i can by that. May be not at ebay.

Hi. After a long search, only back cover from Expensys has lens cover built in. Other models (eBay ...) don't have this part include in the cover ...
And another thing, the price on expensys increased last week from 19 Euros to 30 Euros even if there is no stock ... :-(

You mean you have the rubberised cover and want the original shiny one??
I hate the shiny one and would swap for the rubberised one in a flash. Been lookin everywhere to buy it but can only find the shiny one.
If anyone has found the rubberised one please let me know.

Hello,
the phone survived a major car accident. Just the display broke and the cover doesn't look pretty anymore.
So where can I get display/cover and maybe also an internal backup battery (or is it normal that everytime I take out the battery the phone asks for time/date again?)

Actually, I regularly search eBay for the plastic LCD display faceplate and never find it. Please don't insist that everything is easy to find.
Unfortunately there is no way I can find a cover for Qtek 8310/HTC Tornado..

This is a great find and one of only a few commercial sites that carries this. Unfortunately at $65 USD unshipped it costs 20% of the phone.

This was also a great find, and it looks like at $46 USD shipped it is the best option and it is only 15% of the phone cost. I hope that leo_kwong2007 has more even though there are none listed.

It might be possible to get it warranty repaired by HTC, or at least repaired by them (you may have to pay for it if the warranty doesn't cover it).
What country are you in, as that will make a difference to shipping and availability.

I have a similar query too. Do diamond lcd ( Not digitizer ) fit to at&t fuze?
Just because, diamond lcd screen are cheaper then fuze.
As far as product image, both looks same but need someone to confirm if it works for fuze also. Please help to save few $$$.

yees, mine too... did a bad thing to the screen so it has 3 blue spots due to extreeme presure to the screen.
found lot of stuff in eBay but I don't recommend it because I once ordered a battery replacement (made in HongKong) for my TouchPro and it wont perfectly fit. So it kind of shocks me to shop in eBay...

I brought at&t digitizer from hongkong and its perfect. I don't think all the items from hongkong are bad. And most of things I brought from hongkong ( ebay ) were perfect, especially car products.
unfortunately I broked lcd, digitizer and flex cable while I was installing new digitizer. So now I have to buy new flex cable and lcd ( without digitizer ) which costs nearly 70$.
Already brought flex cable but suck on buying lcd. Just waiting to confirm.
Edit; Just now got reply from a diamond lcd screen seller. He said, we have asked the manufacture, and they told us it can not be used. So this should be clear but I already brought fuze lcd screen too as I don't wanna suck.

Welcome! I think that the best way for you is buying a 2600 Muggen battery: It comes with its own back cover because this battery is oversized.

20 pound , what a joke

contact toshiba they will supply you the required spares, you neednt compromise in quality n standards too. Full set itself is 20 pounds in uk toshiba (black or white)both are available. Might be lil more by now + shipping.

So ofcourse I have done some research, and found out that there isn't a lot of information about the Desire S yet. I did stumble upon this (detailed) guide:

My second question is about the actual Digitizer. I found some sellers on ebay, but I find it extremely difficult to determine whether they are good sellers. there are quite a few screens on ebay which claim to be genuine. Not sure if they are but at least you can complain through paypal to get your money back if you don't think the item is genuine. I've only bought a digitizer once before for the iphone 3g from ebay. It turned out to be good quality and it's still in good condition apart from a little dust under the screen which might become an issue, but i think this is an issue anyway with the desire s.
Also, that guide looks pretty good and clear. can't find anything others.

i bought 2 of ebay.. Ath the moment there is a copy (non-original) digitizer on ebay and i do beleive that most of those sold on ebay are copies.. i got 1 from china and 1 from UK. The UK was copy.. The one from Hong-Kong looked like original..
you can understand the non-original as the symbols & the HTC (logo) are how can i say it "less bold" than the original. and the surface of the digitizer is not as smooth to the finger as the original

Do you remember (or can you look up) the one from Hong Kong? This shop looks pretty genuine to me, beacsue they also sell the "Frame Bezelf Housing Case". I find it hard to believe that they also make copies of those, but I might be wrong. They are also the creators of the guide I posted!

the thing is that this one looked original, but the back of the digitizer (the circuits & the cable ) was a little bit different than original..
The copy which i got from a UK seller looked as a copy (text symbols and touch wise - it even was a fingertips magnet 200% more than original) but looked exactly like the original from behind (even the cable had the same part numbers etc) clearly a great copy job
so you choose original front or original back

Depending on the age of your device, you could also try sending a polite email to HTC support. A while back, I sent them message about my SIM/SD cover being loose, and they sent me a replacement at no cost to me. Took about a fortnight.
Official pricing for these parts (I've seen upwards of £15) can be quite extortionate...

Thinking back, I remember submitting a polite request via their support webpage, stating that my SD/SIM cover wouldn't stay in place, and asked about obtaining a replacement. I didn't actually demand anything, and they just sent out a spare.

My desire hd back body is bend as it fell down. where can i buy back body and flash lid as they are damaged I came across full back body housing costs 28 us dollars and its chinese I think so. In some online websites they have stated as original and few as OEM, which one should I buy.
Here one local repair centre person said if we buy chinese they might not fit correctly/exactly here and there might buldge or wouldnt fit part in appropriate position, since its too costly can any one help me by suggesting to get correct one! thanks. am from India.
If it says OEM the quality will be good as the original.
