Hi,
I am running Ricky's v24 WM 6.1. I use EasySync to sync with my Lotus Notes contact, calendar, todo, and email. Everyday, i get this alert from "DontForget" indicating that I have 26 unread email. The email reader in the sliding panel indicates 0 mail.
Any suggestions on what I can use to read, or just get rid of the email downloaded via sync? I've changed the EasySync setting so it no longer download email.
I'd imagine Outlook email downloaded via ActiveSync would be in similar situation, in case you don't use Notes. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks!

I need some help setting up email on my 8125 to efficiently sync with Outlook on my Laptop.
In Outlook on my PC I have multiple Gmail accounts setup. Emails from these accounts come into the same Inbox folder (within the same Outlook Data File, of course). Whenever I respond to an email, the reponse is sent from the Gmail account that the email was originally sent to.
Is there any way to emulate this on the HTC Wizard?
I have no problem synching the Outlook Inbox on the 8125. However, to check email while on the road, I have to setup each Gmail account separately. The emails are downloaded into separate inboxes within their respective account folders.
Because of this any reading/responding/deleting of emails I do on the phone does not sync to Outlook on my PC.
This sux because I have to maintain the separate POP accounts on the phone as well as my Outlook Inbox.
Does anybody else have a similiar PC setup to mine that can offer any insight or suggestions. They'd be greatly appreciated.
Even though I don't know much about them, I have a feeling that an exchange server (or possibly Cingular Xpress Mail) may be the only solution for my problem.
THanks in advanced for any help!
Hello,
I am new and experiencing dificulty configuring my email with outlook, I have read past threads but none seem to cover the specifics of my dilema.
I use outlook 2003 to access my email, the email address is my own domain, I have outgoing mail SMTP and Incomming POP3.
I can sync my pc ok with outlook (so my emails, contacts, tasks etc are added to my orbit) but it doesnt let me configue my email settings (incoming and outgoing settings etc) under the outlook tab of the orbit, to send or recieve emails.
To make this clearer I when I set the email settings I have the choice to chose either POP3/IMAP4 or Outlook, If I chose outlook then it takes me to a wizard to configure exchange server (which I dont have) So therefore I have to chose POP3/IMAP4 which works but it sets up a different folder to the synced outlook folder.
So as it stands I can send and recieve emails from a pop3 account on the device but not the outlook account unless it is connected to my pc.
I hope this makes sense, however if you need any more clarification please ask.
Please please please help - I have little enough hair as it is but am losing more by the second trying to work out how to do this.
Thanks in advance.
Steve
outlook mail == using outlook on your pc to send the mail using what ever type of mail system outlook on your pc is set to use
if you want to mail without being connected to your pc you need to make a pop3/stmp setup on your phone
not all isp's who offer pop3/smtp mail accounts will you access them externaly though with other then webmail
Thanks for the response.
I can set up pop3/imap4 on the device easy and it sends and recieves no problem via the gprs network.
My problem is that if I want to synchronise any emails that have been sent to my device with outlook on my pc (so I have the same inbox on both) it doesnt work?
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks again
Steve
Is there any software or does anybody know how to setup Pocket Outlook so that only specific messages notify me on my 8125 say between 11:00pm and 6:00 am"
Thanks
What are you using
Depends how you are getting your mail. If its from Exchange 2003 SP2 push email you can set up the server to only recieve between certain times - activesync, menu on the ppc. If you are using POP then you can turn off checking for messages (menu, options, etc) but you would have to do that on a daily basis
I am using Activesync Exchange Push, but I need to get alert messages from one specific email address during the night. All other email I want blocked from say 11 pm - 6 am.
Any ideas?
Thanks
There was mail application (I think it's ProfiMail) that had Rules, maybe you could setup something based on From: field....
Try WebIS FlexMail, it might have a functionality like this.
All,
Have a new 750 which we've just received with wm6. Previously ran wm5 on treo's fine.
Have configured activesync to sync email, contacts, calendar, tasks etc. All sync except email. No error messages, nothing in the server logs.
Much appreciated in advance.

I just installed M2d. Searched the forum, and cannot find a way to get it to display my gmail account, and not outlook.
Any help? I am on a XV6800 running DCD agps rom. Gmail is set up as another account.
Don't think it's possible
I am pretty sure that M2D only can interface with pocket Outlook so GMail won't be possible. I forwarded my E-mails to my Outlook address, so I get all my E-mails in M2D, but the actual G-mail account is probably not possible to access from M2D.
Outlooks handles Gmail via IMAP
The way I'm reading my GMail accounts is via Outlook. When I added the two accounts, outlook automatically detected the IMAP configuration. Therefore, I can "read" all my email accounts directly on Manila tab (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail and Exchange)
I use push email with my gmail account through outlook, and so far its been working great for me.
I use mobipush to do that, here is the signup page if you are interested.
I have my Gmail account setup in outlook (two email accounts for that matter) and they both show in M2D without a problem. I have a BA running 6.1 build 20758...
