Are there any free programs that let you stream free tv without a computer for windows mobile 5 or 6?
heard of a device called a slingbox thats designed for that, think you can get them for expansys but dont know if a pc is required.
Slingbox
PC is required for setup. Once setup and you successfully load the client on your phone and get it connected, it's all about your internet connection speed then...

I have a fairly new Sony receiver that I really do love & I'm just not ready to give it up & shell out for a new DLNA receiver even though the tv and bluray are DLNA, I really don't want to go buy more cables and have to run & route everything through my TV and always have it on just to listen to music.
I do have a lot of old Windows Mobile devices laying around. So, I was wondering if anyone had a way to use the BT or WIFI & one of the old WM devices to either remotely control my Android device, or any SW that would allow me to use my android device as a media server, controlled by windows mobile?
Any ideas?
Ok everyone something new that I am trying to setup, something to the effect of a home media streaming server.
The server it self is a laptop intel i5 6gb ram win 7 connected to tv via HDMI, I used this to play netflix, torrents, ect and basically cut off my cable bill.
What I would like to do now is to stream the video/audio via wifi to other android devices that are connected to other tv's through out the house.
for the client side, I will be useing MK802 II android 4.0. connected via HDMI,
question to everyone is ... Has anyone else already accomplish this? and can you give any pointers. I know I can simply share files, ect but I want to sync the video signal to the other televisions so If a video is on in the living room , the same exact video is playing in the kitchen.
And being I want to do this via Android Im here at xda to pick some brains
Thank you in advance

So I have a Tronsmart S89, and really want to use the FiOS Mobile app on it. Problem is that the app does not work over HDMI.
Any suggestions? I've read where people have read that it can done via xbmc, but I'm starting to think this is a game of telephone. Generally I want to be able to get live TV on here to avoid a set top box in the bedroom.
I did have my windows mobile phone, HTC Touch HD, connect to a Windows XP desktop several years ago.
Is it possible to have my Android phone connect to a Windows PC with Remote Desktop Connection?
Thanks.
Microsoft has a remote desktop app. I've used it successfully before, though that was when I was using a Note 3. I expect it'd be much more cumbersome w/o a stylus.

I need an app for Remote Desktop, to run my computer over the phone (Android), but I can also use mobile internet and it's free, and not just via Wi fi. All applications that can control the computer via telephony via mobile internet are paid, whether there is some free. I use Splashtop but only via Wi Fi. Is there a free app?
