Call & Message Manager - Touch Pro, Fuze General

Hello All
This is my very first post on this forum and the HTC Touch Pro will be my first Windows Mobile device, so a complete freshie in every respect. If I ask a question that has been answered before, it is not because I have not read other posts but that I do not know what I am looking for!
Historically I have had S60 and UIQ3 phones. On those, I have always made use of Call (Advanced Call Manager, Magic Profiles, Phonepilot) and SMS (MUMSMS, GINA, MCleaner) management and filtering tools.
I use the same phone for both work and business so like the facility to block calls and SMS accordingly. I also use the filtering facilities to hide call and sms log details from prying eyes.
I have searched for a call & sms application for WM6 devices but have not found one that seems to do all I want. Therefore, could I please ask your advice on which are the best app(s) that can hide received and sent messages (all types) and can hide the incoming, outgoing and missed call log for filtered numbers/contacts?
Additionally (and it may be silly to ask, considering the forum in which it is being asked!), can you give me your views of the performance of WM devices when compared to S60 & UIQ3?
Thanks

Hello, sorry i cant help u... but... can u tell me which of the S60 tools can hide sms/calls? Thats a very very nice idea... hrhr...

Hello
On S60 v3 it's called Symbianon Private Call & SMS Guard

CallFirewall, MagiCall are 2 filtering tools i know from scratch... but there are also tools around for e.g. secretly moving special sms from your ex-girlfriend to a hidden / passwordprotected folder...

Hi
Thanks for the reply. Do CallFirewall & MagiCall actually remove incoming, outgoing and missed calls from the phones call history?
Thanks

Hi harjm!
I'm exactly in the same position, totally new to WM devices, have been a Symbian follower since the Psion 5 days.
I was looking for the exact same stuff you're looking for and I found this one:

and it seems like it is what we are after

Looking for SMS and call logging software

Hello everyone,
I'm currently searching for a software which works in the background and automatically stores all incoming and sent SMSs and all incoming and outgoing calls into some text-file (or something similar, which can be easily processed on other devices) on WM2003SE devices like the Magician.
This should be done without any user interaction (i.e. call done or SMS sent/received -> new entry in log/message exported) and a hidden (not visible to the user) program would be preferred.
I already tried smsOrganizer, but obviously the author doesn't maintain this program any longer, as the downloaded version tells me some kind "new version available"-message while trying to export/backup the messages. Furthermore smsOrganizer is always visible on the today screen.
Is there anything like that available, which I haven't found yet?
Thanks for your help in advance an greetings,
BGK

Android call and sms filter application

I'm coming from a symbian background and have ordered a G1 recently. Been looking in the market place for a privacy application to screen and filter incoming and outgoing calls and sms's to defined numbers. I can not find anything that meets my requirements so am prepared to fund the development of one. (there are several available for symbian).
I've posted a job on elance and have had a couple of replies saying this is not possible in Android - I am suprised to say the least and was wandering if anyone here thought otherwise
heres the description:
------------
Job Description:
To provide an application to filter incoming and outgoing calls and sms. Effectively enabling 'private' communications from the phone.
For pre-determined numbers all incoming calls and sms can be filtered. sms notification disabled and moved to secure area. Calls rejected as busy.
All traces of incoming or outgoing calls and sms that are related to the numbers in the list are hidden.
The app should have the same functionality as Best Private Conversation for Symbian :
http://www.smartphoneware.com/bpc-for-s60-5th-edition-product.php
Will also require trial version time limited.

Appreciate any feedback
regards
The android supports sending call directly to voicemail, uner the contact info of the person. Also there are apps that cam move sms to a blacklisted folder, a trash can of sorts, you don't get a notification of this I believe. Chompsms has this functionality.
Also this is posted in the wrong forum. Please post in the application and games forum, there is a request thread there. This is for android rom/build development only

Apologies for posting in the wrong forum - maybe an admin can move this post for me...
Please ignore this thread
I have started a new thread in the correct forum

Send text message to group contacts only on not answer call

Thank you to all the developers on this site. It has answered already most of my queries that I had upon receiving my new HTC Diamond 2.
I am very happy with the device and using some of the tweaks and programs the phone is now nearly set up exactly how I want it.
However there is one feature that I think is missing. As standard the HTC D2 will allow a call to be rejected and a standard text message be sent. But this will be sent to all callers.
I do not want to spend money sending a sms to cold callers for example. Just wondering if it would be possible to create an application that could expand on the standard function.
Some ideas for the app would be:
Send sms only to contacts in the address book that are included in a catergory or multiple catergories.
Send a different sms depending on the catergory of the contact.
Set up profiles to define the reason for not answering call, eg in meeting, driving, sleeping etc
Of cause the above list is not exhaustive.
Would like peoples opinions on this function and whether some one would be able to create. I would of course offer to test the app. Sorry do not have the current skills to create the app.
In advance thanks for reading this message and for replies.

Application to intercept certain callers/SMS senders?

I had a package a couple of years ago on my MDA (and perhaps on my Kaiser) that would do this - you could select a contact and then intercept calls and SMS and take an action without it hitting your notifications (e.g. reject the call, send an SMS back to the caller automatically and reject, answer an SMS or ditch it silently, etc)
I can't find it - and don't remember what it was called...... but I'm reasonably sure I found it here on XDA....
Does anyone remember/know what it was/is, and will it run on the Leo?
Thanks in advance.
That would be an awesome app. I have long dreamed of such a thing.
there is a program that worked on my tp2 that should work on hd2 as well called "magicall"
This one was free.... I'm quite certain it was here somewhere, but I can't find it.

Mobilion MagiCall alternative

Hi
I plan to move from HD2 to desire HD.
What I need is an app, that can filter calls and sms from specific contacts. Of course, there are lots of these already. What I used to have with WM is the ability co completely hide the incoming call( ignore function) All apps I have tried so far will clear the call log, silience it, but when the actual call is happening, the call screen will show up( with the pictue of the caller and so on... I want this hidden as well
So, I look for fresh ideas. I tried all apps on my HD2 (SDcard Android, of course) and I suppose there might be difference in the app behaviour n the actual Desire HD. Any suggestions welcome and I hope the topic will be useful to others than me..
PS I know about the send to voicemail function - I want the ring to go on , just like tke one calling to thing I am in a cinema or not hearing my phone, not to hang up the call
I to hv moved from Wm to android. N this is first app I hv searched with no results kindly help
i am looking for an alternative too, i try all the aplications on market ( black list, call filter, etc) no ignore function
