application for calling - General Topics

hi there
i need an application for wm6, i have hermes 300..
the situation is this... i need an application that will automatically memorize the number i've dialed and calculate the cost of the call... normally, with predefined rates, and the rates should be organized by hour and by the number prefix cos i dial outside my country too and the rates depend from the part of the day (my ISP sux..)... it should be smthg like a more sofisticated call timer or smthg like that...
and it would be great it could save the log to a .doc or .xls file...
so is there anything like i need out there?
please, any hint is appreciated

Try LCMinutes, never really used it, but it may do the trick.

thanks for hint but it seems it isnt good for me... i'd need a prog that can memorize only 10 or less numbers which i dial and calculate the cost...

What kind of lawyer only has 10 clients?

who said im a lawyer?
nope man, im in different business +im a student, and my boss doesnt have money to get me a business phone so i'm typing down my calls to his numbers and than he gives me money... the problem is i get crazy when i have to scroll down all the history and count all the calls...

try "phone alarm" i think that it can do the job...if i think of any other,i'll let you know

i know i could ask my provider to print me down the calls dialed, but it provides that only for postpaid, not prepaid (as me) users....

Voice Commands Using Bluetooth Headset

I have a wonderful voice commands software called "Voice Lookup" that helps giving commands to the XDA, finding contacts in no time and scheduling meetings and tasks using your voice only.
Usually, you assign a button for the software, you click it and use your voice to command.
Now I have the new i-mate XDAII with bluetooth headset profile enabled.
Can I use the bluetooth headset to give voice commands?
Or can I assign the "call handling button" of the bluetooth headset as a button? it will lunch the software when pressed.
If this is solved, it'll be a new way of life with the XDA 's.
Also am looking into this. Have got replies from Neuvoice and also Jabra who say it isn't possible but I'm sure there is a smart cookie out there who could figure it out.
bt
Fonix is working on a solution. The MPX300 does this well with the www.voicesignal.com program. They only sell to OEM..
Maybe we should flood the **** out of them with questions and requests for it to work on the XDAII.
If we want to buy it, they may port it over.
If they want a lump sum of money, we should make a collection and give it to them. ****, I would pay $200 right now for this. I do not like the MPX300 small screen but I am thinking of switching to to until everyone gets the Bluetooth working right on the XDAII so hands free works right and the voice dial.
With BT voice dial and caller ID on a small device like the Jabra BT800 or Erickson HBH660 or the xLive mp3 http://www.expansys-usa.com/product.asp?code=116333 one that is kind of like the Erickson HBH220; we can leave our devices in our pockets or in our back packs or pouches; we can see who is calling and make calls with no wires and by only pressing a button and we can see who is calling.
This is an awesome thing.
I am tempted to give up my big screen and faster CPU and large amount of RAM on the XDAII to switch to the MPX300 because it supports these things.
I have tried every OS for the XDAII, 2005 works great but there are other bugs. 2.20 works but it is so buggy, I would have to disable call waiting and the caller ID will not display the number after the number has already been displayed once or it it in your contacts.
Lets give a try, lets email the **** out of voicesignal and call them.
Together we may make a difference.

I could suggest any software, if you could briefly describe what is tue utility of "IDD prefixes" ...
There are many International call service providers in Hong Kong while their call rates are different. Normally, u just add "+" plus the country and city code behind the phone number in your contact for international calls. However, i may add "009" or "1666" or "1718" instead of the "+" sign. i find that cannot work in smartphone coz recently the Phoneplus for PPC phone can make that function.
e.g.
Normal case: + 86 10 8222 8234
i want: 009 86 10 8222 8234 or sometimes 1718 86 10 8222 8234
Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance.
Me also tried to search this kind of software for a long time, but nothing of them seems to work on WM6 at the moment, can anyone please help?
I am using Mobiion MagiCall - very powerful and useful

Check which provider belongs 2 the number

Hey there...
today i had the idea to improve my adress book.. but dunno how...
since i got a tmobile germany and landline flatrate..i want to know if the number i'm contacting is for free or need to pay..
there is a possibility to call an number and enter the number you want 2 check and get the network.. but this kind of sucks big times... is there some kind of webservice or programm which can support my intension? and for example add a network prefix to the adressbooks name?
thx in advance
try this.
http://www.fonefinder.net
This is actually not what i am looking for... see for example there is my sisters contact in the adress book ... but how do i know if the number i am calling is for free because of my tmobile flatrate? nowadays you can take your number with you when changing the provider.. some years ago you where at least able to get the provider by the prefix of the mobile number..
now i want something what can tell me the provider to the number

It also doesn't actually work. It goes back to some outdated database before Local Number Portability worked. I put in my cell number, which used to be my landline number, and lo and behold, it still thinks it's owned by a local PacBell CO.
Well then in reality there truly is no way to know with 100% accuracy which provider someone is with. This at least provides some level of accuracy whether outdated or not. For instance, mine shows up as correct. Should I port my number tomorrow, it would be incorrect though. Don't think there is any other way available for regular consumer based searches.
but for example i can send a message with the number to some special tmobile number and it charges me with 19cent and sends the provider back.. infos in german
http://www.teltarif.de/i/portierung.html
i can also call a number for free and type in the phone number and it tells me the provider.. but this kind of sucks for all my addressbook entries

Yeah, but the only way to achieve what you're looking for is a direct and almost permanent connection to the database hosted by T-Mobile (
Zentrale Master Routing Datenbank (zMRDB)) in which the number and the provider to which it belongs is stored.
And since the access to this database is not free (not to say pretty expensive) you won't find any solution to this.
CU,
Cactus World
but it says i can use wap for it.. so somehow there must be an service to use, which provides the necessary infomation
MNP / zMRDB / provider finder

Would be nice to have something like ProviderFinder (works on iPhone only) for WM or Android.

Wow this is awesome - I've always wanted something like this!
Does it just use the web lookup (whitepages for the US), or does it somehow access the same information that a hardware landline caller ID uses?

Hi Namiran !
I had TC installed from the beginning on my HTC Touch HD Blackstone and then on my HD2. Worked without any freeze and crash
The general problem here in Austria was that almost nobody phones by "terrestric" phone anymore but only cellular and 19 of 20 numbers were not recognized/shown by TC, Highest hit rate was A1-provider with 50 % (+43664xxxx), no hits at all with Orange (+436991xxxxx), and other minor providers (Hutchinson "3", Yesss, etc.)
So I uninstalled TC because I needed some free mem on my HD2.
Does TC 2.0 now have access to ALL cellphone-providers data from callers (e.g. in Austria ?)?
Would be a reason to reinstall TC .......

Hi there!
I'm happy to hear your reconcidering using TrueCaller again!
Unfortunately we do not have very good data coverage in austria yet... if you could point me to a directory service which is better than herold then we would gladly try to use them instead!
BTW... According to our statistics we should be able to return data for 20% of the calls in Austria so maybe indeed there has been an improvement since last time you used it. Of course, with Caller ID+ these stats will improve much more over time too
Yeah, that could be the reason ...................
HEROLD is really sloppy and/or does not integrate/receive data from cell-providers ................
Will install again and report ................

hi, how old is the 2.0 version? i have a TC.cab on my phone but i haven't installed. i downloaded it like 2 months ago so i don't now if i have the latest version.
Does it need a data plan to work? cuz i don't have one on my phone that being the reason i haven't installed. <-- ok, found it does on the FAQ page of truecaller.com
looks like a nice app, haven't try it but it looks promising

The blinking problem is unfortunately nothing we can fix since HTC Sense is really fighting us to stay on top as well... But the blacklist not working is something we will have to look into. Please let me know your registerid which you will find under settings in a PM together with your email address. Vi fixar detta!
We've found the bug reported, now we'll just fix it and let you guys know when its ready for consumption!
Very interest application.

If yes i will like to use it.
