iGO8 and [June 25] L26_KaiserDiamond_V9: they CAN work together - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Windows Mobile ROM De

This post is all about running iGO8 with HTC Home enabled
If you tried to make them work together and didn't succeed, see what I did and how I made them work.
What we have:
1. Device: HTC TyTN II (Kaiser)
2. ROM: [June 25] L26_KaiserDiamond_V9 (new source!)
3. iGO8: Nav N GO iGO 8 version 8.0.0.41506, June 3 2008
What we do:
NOTE: This is what i have done and how it solved the problem for me. It doesn't mean it will work for you and/or your mobile device.
1. Change page pool size for <<L26_KaiserDiamond ROM>> to 24MB
{

This actually sounds worse than it actually is. All you have to do is to download the "PagePool Changer" archive attached to this thread, extract the "PagePool Changer.exe" program and start it. Use "Select" button to choose the RUU_Signed.nbh file that you extracted from L26_Kaiser_DIAMONDV9.rar and select the 24 option from the "Whole part" row. Click "Change" button to update the page pool and close PagePool Changer.
2. Flash your KAISER with the modified L26_KaiserDiamond ROM
After the page pool size was modified you must flash that modified ROM to your mobile device. To flash the new ROM just run the KaiserCustomRUU.exe that you extracted along with RUU_Signed.nbh from L26_Kaiser_DIAMONDV9.rar.
3. Disable Assisted GPS on your mobile device
After you flashed the ROM and got Windows Mobile started, go to Start Menu->Programs->Utilities->Device Config and select AdvancedConfig. Find the GPS settings group and select "Assised GPS" (it should say "Enabled"). Select "Disabled" from the options list and click "Done". Answer YES when prompted to soft reset and wait the system to reboot.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT go to External GPS settings and DO NOT uncheck "Manage GPS automatically".
4. You're all done
Start iGO8 with HTC Home running! It should detect GPS automatically and you're ready to go.
NOTE: This is my SYS.TXT. If you try to start iGO8 using some different settings it it doesn't, you can try some values from bellow:
PHP:
[folders]
app="%SDCARD%/iGO8"
[interface]
maxzoom2d=6000000
show_exit=1
[navigation]
sim_speed_factor=3
[sound]
ding=0
[timezone]
sync_os_timezone=0
reset_os_timezone=0
[debug]
skip_eula=1
topmost=0
[gps]
port=4
baud=4800
That's all there is to it. Happy navigation!
P.S.: Some technical information.
The guys from Nav N Go didn't bother to include some error log in case something goes wrong. Even if you delete some critical files from the iGO8 folder, the application won't start and it won't tell you why. Or maybe you can activate some error logging by using some command line switches, but i'm not aware of it.
Anyways, i was wondering why did iGO8 run smoothly with Dutty's ROM and HTC Home active, but didn't start with L26_KaiserDiamond and HTC Home active. I thought that the new HTCHome.dll and/or HTCUtils.dll were causing problems and i was trying to find a way to rebuild L26 ROM with some different HTC*.dll, but since i don't master the art of replacing ROM modules (yet), i abbandoned this idea.
After finding some reference about "out of memory" error messages shown by iGO8 on HTC devices, i noticed that L26_KaiserDiamond ROM has only 6MB of page pool allocated.
All the rest is history, as they say.

I liked your Diamond release so much that i just HAD to make it work with iGO8.
My wife started to hate me (and my new phone) for all those nights that i spent in front of my computer.
I was almost giving up but i'm happy i got it working!

lau26.. glad to see you come around
yours is the first rom i installed.
i dont see any reason to change.
i have igo8 installed and working fine w/all the maps w/o this extra help.
if anything goes wrong, im have a work around now ..
thanx to both of you..
when this thread gets unmanageable, feel free to delete this post..

Well, unless there is something i'm missing, you can't run iGO8 on L26_KaiserDiamond ROM with HTC Home running.
If you can, please let me know what ROM version you have installed what's the RADIO version that you have installed, what's the amount of PROGRAM/STORAGE memory you have in use/available before you start iGO8, and what's the iGO8 version shown in iGO8 about screen.
This post was intended to help out those who try to have iGO8 running with HTC Home enabled on Laurentius KaiserDiamon ROM.

So does it work or not, did you test before posting?
Or is this thread useless?

It has been posted elsewhere that iGO 8 version 8.0.0.41506 aka the "June 3rd 2008" version works fine with the new roms including the later L26 ROMS. No need to change the pagepool at all.
So while maybe not useless, this thread is redundant and partially misleading.

IGO 8 (the specified build 3 june) is working great since L26 V9 was released . Thanks again Mr.Laurentius

Of course i tested before posting. Without making any changes to the ROM, operating system or anything else iGO8 (version 8.0.0.41506 Jun 3 2008) wouldn't start on L26_KaiserDiamond ROM with HTC Home enabled.
After i changed the page pool size to the ROM iGO8 starts without any problems with HTC Home enabled.
IMPORTANT: This post's subject is a little bit missleading: it should say iGO8 runs on L26_KaiserDiamond ROM with HTC Home Enabled
L.E.: By the way, iGO8 doesn't start on Official HTC Windows Mobile 6.1 Release either. I checked their page pool size and guess what: it's set to 4MB just like L26 is. I didn't test it, but i wouldn't be surprised if by changing the page pool size to that official ROM you could run iGO8 with HTC Home.
My guess is that HTC Home eats up too much memory and iGO8 can't allocate enough for it's internal needs.

Indeed, this particular version of iGo8 works with every 6.1 ROM with HTC Home enabled. Tested with Dutty's, DOPOD 3.29.707, Gullum's ThrottleDiamond, Hyperdragon III and, of course Laurentius's Diamond V9.
WARNING! Most cooked ROMs come with AGPS enabled by default which causes iGO8 to hang on startup.

no need to mess with the memory
iGO8 v8.0.0.41506 (June 3rd) works on WM6.1 ROMs with HTC Home, just disable AGPS.
Tested with fresh installs of Dutty's V1 and L26's V9.
Works with at least three different radios including NEON NIKI.
There are many threads on this already. There is no need to mess with the memory.

Not working
This not working i've installed it 2 times & still dosent work

OK, if you get version 8.0.0.41506, June 3, 2008 it will work with HTC home enabled no matter what the page pool is. Just make sure you have AGPS turned off.
Problem solved.

I've seen two types of iGO8 loading errors:
1. iGO8 won't start at all - when trying to run iGO8 from \Program Files\iGO8\iGO8.exe or \Storage Card\iGO8\iGO8.exe the "working" cursor appears and dissappears after 1-2 seconds, and nothing happens (iGO8 won't start, won't display any error messages, won't freeze)
2. iGO8 starts but freezes when displaying "STARTING..." on it's splash screen - the whole device freezes along, there is no response from any hardware buttons (including power button), activesync disconnects (if the device was connected) and the only way to use the device is by soft resetting (small button on the bottom).
The first error was always happening when HTC Home was enabled. I tested it with HTC Official Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM and with L26_KaiserDiamond ROM. So, if i have HTC Home enabled and try to run iGO8 - cursor appears for a couple of seconds and nothing else happens. By disabling HTC Home and soft reseting the device i always was able to run iGO8.
The second error was always happening when Assisted GPS was enabled (as you mentiond - usually all ROMs have this option enabled). Only by disabling this option iGO8 was able to start and run withou problems.
So, what i was trying to explain in this thread is that if someone wants to run iGO8 with HTC Home screen enabled he/she has to change the page pool of the ROM.
As i said in a previous post, if someone was able to install L26_KaiserDiamond ROM (as it is provided by this official download link- that means with 4MB page pool size), install iGO8 (or run directly from Storage Card) and run it (after disabling assisted GPS, of course) with HTC Home enabled, please tell me what is the ROM version, RADIO version, what is the amount of memory (storage/program and inuse/available), and what version of iGO8 you are using, because i was unable to do so.
Thank you.

I will re-install default L26 ROM and re-test it.

Just switching off A-gps does not do it! (if HTC Home is active and after a soft reset).

I have recently installed:
[27 October 08] HyperDragon III DOPOD OS 5.2.19212 Build 19212.1.0.3
After that I installed iGO8, but I have the problem where the program iGo8 is active for about 2 seconds and then stops.
When I read the thread above, it should be related to HTC Home. But is it correct to say that my HyperDragon III DOPOD is not using HTC Home, but Manilla2d?
How can i fix this problem? Should I deactivate Manilla2d??

[JUNE-04-2008] UPDATED! SNN Diamond Edition WM 6.1 build 19209

SNN Diamond Edition
Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM
[Stylus.Not.Needed]
UC CAPABLE ROM
INTRO:
Hey guys, its been a while since i've made a posting here. Well i'm sad to inform all that i no longer have a wizard. I was working on releasing a new ROM but didn't get to finish it. I was however able to put together a "new" theme based on the new HTC Diamond. I put together alot of the new stuff floating around these forums into the same build as before. This version of SNN is UC Capable, meaning you can install cab files and load your own personal settings on the intial boot by taking advantage of the UC feature. Not sure what UC, or User Customization is all about Then click on THIS to read more about UC and how you can make it work for you.
To give you all a sample of how UC works, I have included a sample of it in the SNN Diamond rar file. The sample is located in folder (1). I included instructions on how to set it up, so make sure you click on folder (1) before clicking on folder (2) if you want to take advantage of this feature.
NOTE: Using UC is NOT a requirement, it is meant to supplement more advanced users that want to make setting up personal preferences easier. You can bypass using this feature and just flash the ROM itself the same way you would any other ROM. The nk.nbf file and flashing tools are in folder (2).

Recommended Cabs
Coreplayer: Substitue for Windows Media Player. It can be installed on storage card to save internal memory although installing to your device is best practice for stability.
WST Windows Service Tool: An all purpose app for the wizard. Can read and alter some device settings. Most useful for changing page pool to free up program memory space. INFO and DOWNLOAD here.
TCMP The Core Media Player: Another media player. Can play video and music. Size is smaller than Coreplayer although layout is not as "flashy".
HTC Home Customizer: Best app for customizing the HTC Home Plug-in. There are multiple themes and icons to pick from to make your phone all your own. Download from HERE.
NOTE: If your are flashing ROM with UC stuff then Coreplayer and HTC Home Plug-in customizer will not be needed.
one more just in case
looks great....i am a big fan of your roms newbie.
just one request , is it possible to change the dialer to duffys?
i dont like the htc dialer...especially the smart dial on it...
if i install a cab file over and above your inbstalled dialler, it does function but very slowly...
do u think you can put an alternative to this rom with duffys dialler?
would appreciate it a lot.
i am going to flash this rom today...downloading now, and i will give you feedback asap.
cheers

Looks good. Last version is working out great.
(Did you add the help lnk to this version?)
did you fix the window media player bug and put it back .?
Congratulations I am sure this is a great rom that has been created

i can make a rom specifically with that dialer if you can post the cab you used i can see if i can create an OEM folder of it and cook it into a rom. If the only thing you dont like on the HTC dialer is the smart dial you can just turn it off in menu> smart dialing options.

I haven't fixed that bug, i've really exhausted myself out trying to figure out what the problem is. It maybe the fact that i have an app included in the ROM that messes around with its playback. (It's the only conclusion i can come up with) Anyways, i dont have enough time to remove every app i included one by one nor do i have the patience to flash my phone every time just to see if my hunch is true.
I've included Windows Media Player but i removed the shortcut for it because i wouldn't want you guys being misled into thinking that the problem was fixed. Like in previous releases sometimes it plays the complete song, or times it only play the "intro" part.
You can access Windows Media player via HTC home plug-in through the "lanch music player" tab. Secondly it is located in the windows folder, just use file explorer and create a shortcut if you so please.
If anyone comes up will a solution to this issue please share your fix, you will forever beGLORIFIED for being the best trouble shooter in the world because i've pretty much given up hope for a possible fix.

Use Hbutton, you can configure every single hard key to launch multiple applications. I have button 4 hold mapped to launch 5 different applications and there isn't any limit to how many apps you can use. I also have "cycle" and "notify on first" enabled for sequence to start over again once the last app is shown.
Once you load and save your settings go to the buttons menu in settings and open and close it to enable HButton.

Small Issues
Hi. Great ROM! Couple of issues i was hoping to get your help with:
1) The clock is stuck in 24h mode (no am, pm). Can't change it through local settings.
2) Wifi does not auomatically reconnect to a previous network after enabling wifi. Have to manually go and say connect to this one.
3) I can't get MS Voice Command to work through my BT headset. Pressing the button on the headset gets me to the dialer and nothing else. I read all the forums, tried all the registry hacks, etc. and still nothing.
Thanks again and hopefully i can get some help with these issues.

lol, i wont stop cooking roms i'm just gonna slow down a bit. I think i should let a rom stay out for a bit so that all issues are brought into light and then i can correct them in a future release.
I'm actually waiting for my 8525 HTC Hermes to come so until then i'm working on the wizard.

1) By local settings you mean regional settings right? I dont have this issue on my device and i am able to get 12hr time via regional settings and selecting the first option. I recall that another person that flashed a pervious ROM of mine had that same issue and his fix was to flash back to his carriers orignal rom then back to mine.
2) I didn't mess around with the wifi at all, so maybe this is a minor "bug" i just wasn't aware off. If others that use this ROM can verify if the same happens to them PLEASE write about it or if you dont have any issues.
3) That's foreign territory for me, i know i'm probably the last guy on the face of earth that doesn't use bluetooth but i don't think walking around with an earpiece is for me. I can look into finding a solution for you thou, i will keep an eye out for anything useful on these forums and point them out here.
And finally thanks for running my ROM. Your one of the first 200 that downloaded my ROM.
Checking it out for a couple of hours now......
Fixed several minor bugs from the 3.0 edition....improved an already awesome ROM.
I am definitely keeping this ROM on my Wizard for a good while, at least until I get another PDA....ill probably get Hermes or another Wizard that is not as old as my present one...my trusty Wizard will be 2 years old next month.
Greetings!
Just a small update. Fixed the clock issue. Reason --> my own lack of attention. Basically, in regional settings, under the Time tab, the drop down for the display format is only 2 lines high. As a result, i didn't realize to scroll up and down. After scrolling up to the first entry, i picked the am/pm format and all is well.
Voice command through bluetooth is my biggest issue now. I agree that walking around with a headset is not as cool as some think However, up here in Montreal, you can only talk on the headset while driving or get a big ticket....so i need it working.
Cheers,
Silentcossack.

[Jul 9, 2008] Brightrom FINAL WM 6.1.19209 [UC capable]

BRIGHTPHONE FINAL NOTES:
This project started because I got tired of flashing other people's rom creations. I was not using most of the things they cooked up. Simply had no need for those programs. So for the last 3 months I have abused this kitchen to make the most stable rom for myself. Cooking and testing and cooking and testing...
This was once the original kitchen ported and posted by VILLABOY25 back in April. There is not much left of the original settings or rgu's. The UI changed; as well as just about all of the packages; some DLL's; OS graphics, and fixes to things that refused to work. I am finally very happy with it. I hope that you will be as well.
(Unless I find that I overlooked something, there will be no more updates. If you find something that does not work, please let me know.)
CEOS 5.2.19209
SYS 5.2.19209
Memory: 33 @boot
Storage: 44.85
Page pool: 2mb
Features:
Touch Scrolling
Smarts key (long press soft keys to activate start menu and quit programs)
GPRS Disconnect by pressing and holding end key.
Active sync connects via Bluetooth (make sure you sync via Bluetooth first before USB)
CommManager loads faster (smaller graphics)
OperaMini preloaded. Security bypassed.
File Explorer (extended) is fixed to show properly from the start.
DotFredTaskManager updated.
UC (User Customization) turned on.
All phone features and control panels enabled.
Quick Menu registry changed to work as seamlessly with the UI as possible.
A lot of functionality.
WMP has a new large indicator skin (by me)
Programs: (things I use most often or cannot live without)
GOOGLE MAPS 2.1.0.10
Esmertec Java 2008222.3.1
OPERA MINI 4.1 signed. (No annoying security requests)
INTERNET SHARING (I have an unlimited data plan and no wifi hotspots around)
RC MOD (changes the appearance of the top and bottom bars)
ARIEL BATTERY 2 (covers up the windows flag with something functional)
DOT FRED TASK MANAGER (a task manager that is more functional than the one on XP)

SIM Manager (to load your contacts to and from your sim card)
WM5TORAGE (connect your phone as an SD card reader)

SEARCH (function I could never find useful until my SD card became too crammed)
PICTURES AND VIDEOS (sorry, no album. No space; and bad functioning UI)
WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER (fixed. plays whatever the camera records+MP3's. comes standard)
MS VOICE COMMAND (In personal Settings. Dials numbers by voice, also supposed to control WMP FExplorer Calendar read you your messages...)
SRS WOW HD (in system settings. greatly improves the sound of music)
REMOTE DESKTOP
NETWORK PLUGIN
NETWORK WIZARD
SMS SERVICE
WIRELESS MODEM
OFFICE 2007 MOBILE:
EXCEL
NOTES
ONENOTE
POCKET RAR
POWERPOINT
TASKS
WORD
If you are a beginner, please read the stickies at the top of the forum.
This rom IS G4 safe.
Some programs start slower than others. This is normal. Many of the packages were UPX’ed, and it takes a second to decompress them.
The default today theme was originally set up for a light background with black text. You can fix this by changing it to the WM6.1 theme. All will be well again.
PLEASE ALLOW THE CUSTOMIZATION TO RUN. Opera Mini will not work otherwise; and the fExplore will not be fixed.

GAMES FIX:
these are the standard MS games that came with the rom. I didn't cook them in, because I have no time for games but since some of you take games so seriously, install the package at the bottom.
Try this streaming player too:

it searches all streaming videos from myspace and youtube!
I hope you will post some screen shots.

i just found the link for the 2.37 radio safe to assume its stable with your rom?
I just donwloaded both going flash in afew..

Downloading looks beautiful
- no games
anyone have the cabs for solitaire & bubble breaker
I use radio 2.37 and it is the only radio I use since San Diego has the worst reception for tmobile. glad i am leaving soon.
Sorry about taking out the games. The Java midlet manager will allow you to play a lot of games made for just about any cellphone (no sound though)
and I figured that nobody was actually playing those games anymore. I will post a cab with the original games as well as pocket gbs (sonic the hedgehog)

cool thanks ! I fine my self playing solitair as i build servers and what not...
My Observations
Nice rom. Big Ram about 34mb after a fresh restart. But i found some problems and i did a hard reset but same problem appears. 1) Ok button doesnt respond well even though i re-configured quickmenu option and even used wktask but no luck! And my touchscreen doesnt respond well too. SOmetimes i have to double tap menu buttons. Is it necessary to downgrade to its original rom and then upgrade with this rom? Cuz i didnt do that.
i forgot
It has no PIMBACKUP at ADVANCE CONFIG I think adjusting the pressure threshold can solve the touchscreen problem i am experiencing.
.That may be because when first boot happens, quick menu starts and you have to left click the D pad to get it to go away.
Try setting screen alingment.
I have never used pim backup because it conflicts with activesync.
advanced config could be usefull I guess, but you can do that with the registry editor located in the programs/tools menu.
setting the screen alignment solved the problem you are experiencing.

one thing I have noticed is that it is slow on boot after you see the today screen. when the ram goes down to 30+ it starts to work fine. Also, please note that I UPXed a few programs like MMS and file explorer, and that MS VoiceCommand is running in the background.
Feel free to change the pagepool if you like (WST), but keep in mind that some progs load slower because they are UPXed, and once they are decompressed they work fast again.
this is meant to be an "everyday" rom. so I included a lot of context menu DLL's and turned on all of the features the ROM and it's programs have to offer; that I knew how. For me the speed is fine. I personaly keep the Pagepool @6mb. but 2 has been stable, and hasn't froze on me after two weeks of intensive using.
I will try to decompress file explorer and MMS (.exe was cut in half by UPX) and see if it will still have some room.
I will download this as soon as I can. I didn't realize you had something new. Your work is amazing.

Hey, can u upload the 588 rom coz i was using it, before using yours, and it was quite stable and fast, i used it for almost 1 month.
But please keep the pagepool to 4 mb.
when I am done fixing it up I will post it. so far I have had a problem with some cabs freezing if installed from storage card. could have just been a corrupt cab though.
I agree it is fast; but doesnt seem as stable as the 209 (which may not be fast, but NEVER CRASHED on me) even with a 2 mb P.P.
Still working on it.

Yea, Ivan left in the old one from 6.1, along with the new one.
Modem Link should work well. Tell me if it doesn't work, and then I can quickly add back the old Internet Sharing.
Herald?
Hello
Just a question.
Will this work on a Herald too?
THx
Yes, though some of your keys will be reversed (This only affects the shift stuff like !,? the 2 brackets, = )
You get used to it after a while though.
So, what's improved over the last JustHome in the new WM6.5 build. I see that Widgets is included..... anything else?
(Darn, cant download at "work" due to file size download limits. I have to wait until later to try it.)

It's LIKE JustHome. Some major changes from the last JustHome version is that txting works (you can type at a normal speed), and entering passwords work.
Some things that this one doesn't have but JustHome did have: Finger Keyboard and Notification Manager.
Oh and THANK YOU Ivan for sending us your Opera Mini OEM folder!! We got it working, all thanks to you.
Wow downloading now! Great work once again!

Sorry Ivan, I didn't mean to imply that this was the next version of JustHome... I was asking for differences (hopefully improvements) between Numb3rs and JustHome because ACE said it was basically "like JustHome" with latest build of WM6.5 .
Just finished flashing a spare Wing that I have and it won't get pass th e yellow/orange "Windows" screen. I hear the beep that usually changes the screen to the "tap to continue" screen, but its frozen here. I tried a hard reset, same result. Perhaps it was a bad flash... I will try again later.

LZX or normal version??
And WinMo 6.5 just takes a while to load. You hear one beep, the screen dims, and then you hear another beep, and it asks you to calibrate the screen. That's the proccess. First beep means nothing.

LZX version, flashed via SD Card. I waited very long after the beep, knowing that there is a delay. Never got off the "windows" screen. I am downloading the normal version now to try again. I'll let you know what happens.
BTW, how hard is it to cook a spanish version? What kitchen did you use?
Update: Ok I flashed with Normal rom via SDCard, waited loooooooooong time after reboot for align screen, and it did get there after second beep. Mem after fresh flash is 31.50MB storage, 22.13MB program. Seems speedier than last wm6.5 build (justhome v19). Let the testing begin.....

This Rom should flash through USB. You didn't tell me what error you got.
Here is what ace10134 says about SD Card Flashing.
"Your SD card must be formatted in FAT32.
Your SD card is hopefully smaller than 4 GB or so. You can use a larger one, but it might fail to find the file, no big deal. If that happens, ask again.
Now, download the ROM, and if it's compressed, unzip it.
Place the .NBH file onto the root of your SD card, and make sure to rename it to "HERAIMG.nbh".
Put the SD card into your phone, and with your phone on, press and hold the Camera button.
Now, keep holding the Camera button, and then press and release the Soft Reset button. Keep holding the Camera button until you see a new white screen appear.
It says it's searching for the NBH file. Now, it asks you if you wanna flash. Press down on the volume slider within 10 seconds.
Let the phone work for 10 minutes.
Once done, it says "Success". Press down on the volume slider again, and then hold the power button to turn off the phone. Then turn it back on, and you're in the new ROM! "
Just Wondering...
I flashed my wifes t-mobile dash with a new 6.5 rom and the interface looks almost the same except it seems she has more options on the home screen, one of which is a weather option above the phone selection..is it possible to implement something like this on the wing 6.5 rom? either via widgets or some other option? thx for any help.

Hi to ALL,
I have used mtty and original htc rom to reflashing.
I have corrupted the installation at 1% so the RUU_WRapper.exe reset bootloade mode flag to 0 and my P4350 start normally.

Volume Slider no longer works. Did a search on XDA and no result. Want volume slider to raise/lower volume for in call and speakerphone. If not raise/lower volume for system sounds as well. Also, "buttons" under "personal" does not list volume slider.

I believe all wm6.5.1 ROMs changed the default volume slider function to a scrolling function. I have searched XDA for a solution and have only found the program SetVolume by MarcLandis on XDA as a quick fix. This will restore volume up/down to the slider on wm6.5.1, adding a skinable interface. The only downside is that is must remain running in memory for it to auto-launch with the slider, so dont forget to add a shortcut to the /windows/startup folder to auto run it on every reboot. It is still actively in development, and V 0.7 just added in-call volume control.

I already tried. The only thing I need to figure out is how to get the shortcut in Startup folder cooked in. The CAB does not automatically do this, so the CAB to OEM package doesnt when cooked in neither.

Hi Trib, great job, I have tried for 2 days and I think I will stay with this rom, first time I change Titanium, I tried your other flavors but allways prefered Titamium till now...
Still having problems with Opera 10, but no problems with ie.
Request: Can you cook this rom with no Office, Games, and other not required programs but keep the icons so I can install those programs in the SD card and edit the icons to run them from there?? I will appreciate that as I running out of memory to fast...
Thanks and Feliz Navidad

Then you're looking for the post right above yours ^>^
I made it nice and light and you'll have about 25MB of program memory free after closing out excess apps and running oxios. I set my oxios to button 4 so I can easily clear up memory.
To all those of whom just downloaded the SD version of my iTrib ROM set:
Please re-download the ROMs and re-flash ^>^
I realized I did not cook all the necessary files into the control panel; I took out several packages in attempting to make the ROMs lighter but in the end it made the camera not function.
Still errors in Wing version...
Thank you for fixing the camera for the SD version...however, there are still some issues
In both RUU & SD versions:
- Can't power off phone when holding down power button (or pressing power icon in iPhone Today screen)
- WiFi Icon in iPhone Today not responsive
In SD version only:
- Bluetooth not recognized at all (Says "There is no Bluetooth hardware installed on this device") I have a stereo bluetooth headset that I always use. Gotta have
bluetooth working, man
Been using the RUU version, but need more program memory. I was able to get Opera Mobile 10.2 working just fine on the phone, but need the extra program memory that the SD install provides
LOVE this rom, though.
This is Great!!
Wow this is really awsome
But on the video i see you have start on top and some Great icons on the taskbar
should that be in the Rom ?? because i have a big blue taskbar on the bottom (same as Titanium) (ugly blue combination with iphonetoday)
so i run in fullscreen mode
so maybe my installation went wrong or isnt this in the ROM? (RUU)
if not how do i change it
But Really nice job with this ROM
and please continue Making Rom's For p4350
Hope to hear

Hi Ruggie0, about the power button, this is not an issue from this ROM but a WM 6.5 issues as you will get with any ROM with 6.5 O.S.
Now about the WiFi problem, you must turn on the WiFi in the comm manager and then you will have the button working from the today screen icon.
Not clue about the BT problem.
Hope this help.
Saludos
Thanks, Saludos. Glad it's not that particular rom's fault for most of those issues. I just REALLY want that Bluetooth working . Funny thing is that it's only in the SD install, not the RUU version. I get Bluetooth just fine in the RUU version (and only about 10 mb - 12 mb program memory w/ that).
Now, I'm using a 2gb micro SD card (NON-SDHC, per what has been stated on SD HARD-SPLd installs), and it's formated properly.....or should I partition the card down to 1gb?

Unfortunately, this is not an error from my cooking ^>^. You see, our devices were only meant to of used the 6.1 nk and WM 6.1 builds so our devices won't power down by the power button anymore. You can, however, look for apps that power down the device in its stead.
- WiFi Icon in iPhone Today not responsive
First, you have to go into the commanager, then activate the wifi, then youll be able to use the wifi button

I didn't actually cook bluetooth in to make it lighter, but i'll see if i can make you a cab file or something.
LOVE this rom, though.
Thanks for your patronage.

This actually isn't me, nor, my phone in the video. Basically, you can set the apps installed on the device to be icons as well on the today page. If you download my iTrib package, there you will find the icon injection pack, where you can find all sorts of icons for the various apps that WM utilizes.

Yeah, if ya could make a .cab file, that would be awesome. Unfortunately, I've now run across a new problem. MY ANTENNA IS SCREWED UP!!!!
Anyways, you are welcome, man. Keep up the good work!
General
i like this rom just bought my wife the wing today and was wondering if any of you lnow where i can get detailed steps to rooting the wing and installing the rom...thnx in advance
First HardSPL; there is a link to download the HardSPL folder at the top of every thread of mine.
There is also directions in the folder on how to HardSPL.
Then, download my Rom. If it is an RUU version run the RomUpdateUtility.exe while the phone is running and if it is an SD version then you can find directions in the third post.
Then follow the rest of the thread.
Hey,
first this ROM is awesome! The only problem I got is that I've got a german Phone and therefore a QWERTZ Keyboard. It's a little bit annoing not to know where my keys are. I'm fine with english but is there a possibility to get the Keyboard switched to german? I tried to change some settings but it worked only for the Screenkeyboard.
Thanks for your adwise
I apologize, the only way to "Germanize" your device is with the onscreen keyboard.
I really only specialize in WWE ROMs ^>^
wat is that s2u2?
S2U2 is a slide-to-unlock app that will lock your devices screen.
after 1 week of struggle with my phone i soem how managed to solve all problem, and from past two days i am using thsi rom.. just one this to say!! its really awesome... great rom dude... i have small sugestion.. is it possible for u to remove some programs to increase speed?? also the contact menu is looking real ugly.. anyway to change its look?? i will really be happy if u provide me a solution and also when i click rotate it rotates screen then hangs up..
edit: am looking for a faster rom which has all basic functionality of OS.. means everything except some unwanted software like ie etc... am looking such with this rom with soem good contact page.... it would be really awesome..
edit 2: can u integrate win7 type of icons as these icons doesnt look good when compared to win7 icons... getting greedy... hope ul feed me..
.
Actually this is all things that you can change.
First, flash the SD version if you haven't already. This will ensure the lightest possible for you.
Next, go into My Device//Program Files and take out anything you don't need frpm here.
Next, place any icons you find in My Device//Program Files//Iphonetoday//icons
Just search XDA's themes thread for Wondows Phone 7 icons.
Thr contactd page is nkghing we can do about.
