A2DP Headset with caller display? - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV Accessories

Hi guys anyone know of a good Bluetooth Stereo headset that definitely works with the diamond - Sony Ericsson has one with caller display and Fontopia headphones but I was wondering if caller display would also work?

on a side note, does anyone know of a car head unit with caller display?!
cheers

I have a Sony BT5000 Bluetooth Car-Stereo headunit it displays the number of the caller (not name) and works like a charm with A2DP/AVCRP and BT-Handsfree Profile.

Could have a look at this one.... Jabra BT8010
http://reviews.cnet.com/headsets/jabra-bt8010-stereo-mono/4505-13831_7-32327768.html?hhTest=1
Don't know whether if definitely works, but the Diamond supports all the relevant bluetooth profiles.

Looks good!
Yeah looks like a good one - cheers for that. I suppose my only gripe is that I like soft in ear headphones like the Sony Fontopia.
Going to look for a few reviews now on the Jabra...

Try i.tech headphones...
just google i.tech and look at all the dif ones they offer...
currently using their newest model with radio and display...working pretty nicely...
no gripes about it

Bluetooth headset

Can anyone recommend which bluetooth headset is good? I want something that is able to listen to music and receive call. I just hate those cable when listening to music. Thank you in advance.
i have a Jabra BT530 (one of the few that support A2DP = music streaming) only con is that you cant skip track using the headset volume button. otherwise its a good one !

the problem is with the music player your using. use a different one and give it a whirl.... should work a peach. i use tunewiki or simply music (both free apps).
Just for test I bought this from ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...163711&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_4192wt_911
It's a pretty cheap one from Hong Kong and it works perfectly (both calls and audio)! So I can imagine some other cheap BT headsets (with A2DP profile) will work as well.
Why that one you might ask. Well, in combination with € 3,- helmet speakers I have a complete working BT audio setup nicely tucked away in my helmet. For navigation etc on the motorcycle! All together for like € 10,-. A bit different than the € 200-300 they ask for BT sets built into a helmet!
There are BT headsets from $ 4,40 (around € 3,50), but I'm not sure they support audio over bluetooth. So you might want to look out for that!
But my estimation is that it can be done for around 10 euro's! Search on ebay for 'a2dp -dongle' and you might get some interesting hits!
i got the jabra street BT3030 today, bought from amazon.de
i am impressed, because it looks stylish, it worked from the beginning without any adjustments (using latest nightly of CyanogenMod, just start you bt-headset, open BT settings in your phone, add JABRABT3030 pin 0000), the headphones are really good (of course no comparison to expensive sennheiser) and the microphone is very good (i am phoning during this post ). And i like the fact, that you can buy some other headphones with 3,5mm pin and use it.

Depending on the use of the bluetooth headset, another suggestion could be something from Jaybirdgear.com, like the Sportsband 2. It's a lot more pricy than the others, but if you don't like the in-ear style, and even wants to listen to music while in the shower, yes I can confirm that they are able to do this without getting broken, these might do the job for you
But ofc, if running, sweating and getting wet while listening to music ain't your thing - don't buy em, as they are rather pricy.
I use a pair of Sennheiser MM400 headphones. Absolutely brilliant sound quality, plus it has a mic and next/back/play/pause buttons. I can confirm that the controls work with the Desire, cause it has AVRCP.

Normal earphone works?

Does normal earphone works on the i9000 as a handsfree?
I tried, but seems not working.
No, all iPhone compatible headsets with mic are not working on Galaxy S.
thanks!
I guess i'll have to stick with the one that comes with the phone for now then...
My one just died on me after 1 week.all I did is do some cardio and the right wire disconnected.
I didn't like it anyways. Is there any other higher quality ones from samsung? Any recommendations?

I refer you over to the other headset thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7350178&postcount=22 Samsung Genio one works.
wires breaking apart is the reason why i switched to Stereo Bluetooth headsets
Is bluetooth headsets good in terms of sound quality?

yes, but it depends on the brand and model
for example Motorola HT820 sounds great but the Motorola S9 sounds like garbage
same thing with Sony, Jabra, Plantonics, etc.
google up the models you have in mind, and read their reviews.

based to the original headset, does the bluetooth headsets have the same quality or is it worst/better?
Im really fussy when it comes to sound quality..but the original headset sound is passable.

i'm a moderate sound/music enthusiast, but by no way fanatic that i must have the best sound quality any device can offer.
so, i'm comfortably happy with the bluetooth headsets, the ones that are like studio type, those are the only ones that offers decent sound quality, but overall of all the ones i've used and tested, the Motorola HT820 is the best, unfortunately that model is no longer in production.
now, if you are a little above me, and you must have near perfect sound quality, then it'll be better to stick with a studio style wired headset
i've yet to find a superbly good bluetooth that can beat a wired headset.
however the sound from the bluetooth HT820 from Motorola is comparable to a wired Sony MDR-7506 or those alikes, but nothing that can beat a SCHNEIDER

With this headset you can use your own choice of headphones with the adaptor - winner - I dont use the Samsung ones.
Just tested the headphones and I think that I either I got a faulty unit or I damaged mine beacuse the audio jack does not fit properly, so I get mono sound, buzz, stereo sound, buzz, no sound :-(

[Q] Which BT headset with caller id and phonebook??

Hi,
I am using Jabra BT 8010 Stereo bt headset last 3 years, and I am very happy with this ... As stereo headset is not very good, but you can use it as headset
only for speaking... It has two very good things - caller id and phonebook on little
display..
I would like to buy new headset, with same functions - CALLER ID and PHONEBOOK,
does anybody knows any newer headset with this functions...
I am searching all over internet and ebay, and didn't find anything..
Thank you very much,
best regards
Nobody knows?
Have you considered BlueAnt? I have just ordered the Q2. http://www.blueant.co.uk/q2/index.php
Note that they have cheaper products. Both the Q1 & Q2 have a Android app built in offering additional features.
Have you looked at the Sony Ericsson mw600? I have one and its pretty damn good, quite cheap now too...

[Q] Good Headset in ear for Omnia 7

It's Possibile have a list of high quality full compatible in ear headset for my omnia 7?
In internet news ar so confuse and i need a list with few model to compare.
Tnx
Hi, I think the original one in the box works pretty well, what's not good with it? To find better quality i'm 90% sure you have to check in bigger headphones but try first with better quality audio files
my 5 cent
I like the Headset
It is the best Headset i ever had. But i guess i am not an audiophile.
what do you think about volume?? I feel it a bit low, for normal listening outside in the street i always use 20/30

I find that the buttons on the remote and the microphone add a lot of noise to music... for some reason in silent parts of songs I keep hearing this low level buzzing noise.
Whereas if I plug in my Etymotic ER-6i canalphones, this completely goes away. I can only assume the circuitry for the microphone and remote causes this additional noise.
Nokia will soon, or maybe yet, sold a headset with Monster, the Purity, compatible with his Lumia 800. So it is certainly a good alternative to all native wp7 headsets.
http://europe.nokia.com/find-produc...stereo-wired-headsets/nokia-purity-by-monster
i'd go for nokia purity HD if I'm looking to find better quality than standard samsung in ear

Can you confirm whether or not these come with a compatible remote (i.e. volume control/ play/ next song/ previous song)? The pictures aren't clear enough to show it.
Could someone tell me a serial number? Because, I didn't get headset to my phone.

I've got a pair of Sony DR-BT21G's. I can't recommend them highly enough. Sound quality is great, and the built-in amplifier seemed to go louder than other headphones I've tried. Especially handy for "quiet" phone calls.
Plantronics Backbeat 903+
I paired my Plantronics Backbeat 903+ to the HTC Arrive and seems to function just fine. I've only listened to some music from the phone via A2DP for one day.
www plantronics com -- us -- product --backbeat-903-plus
-SUO, still haven't activated the Arrive
