I know many of you guys will scold me for either a: not trying it myself, or b: not using the search function, but I'll ask anyway
I have tried many ROMs, but so far none of them has working video-calls.
Here are the ROMS I have used;
1) Duttys_Official_WM6.1_Release, Radio: 1.27.12.11
2) Duttys_Official_WM6.1_Release, Radio: 1.64.06.04
3) Dutty's 7th March - Build 5.219199 UC RTM, Radio: 1.58.16.27
4) HyperDragon_IIIs_WWE(1), Radio: 1.65.20.29
5) Official WM 6.1 RUU_Kaiser_DOPODASIA_WWE_3.29.707.0, Radio: 1.65.16.25
6) L26_Kaiser_DIAMONDV9, Radio: 1.65.20.29, HardSPL: 3.28
I'm now on L26, and my problem is when I initiate a video-call, it doesn't go through. But when the other party video-calls me, it works, ie both of us can see each other.
So, may I know which ROM has working video-call (and the radio you are using with it)? And whoever has tried a few of the ROMs, can you tell me which one is the best?

Hi had the same problem with my kaiser. How I solved it?
Hi send it to repair office and they changed almost all the hardware inside. That is a hardware problem and not a ROM problem.

Thanks for the response. You said the problem is resolved after sending it for repair. May I know what ROM you are using now? Is it the official ROM installed by the repairer or one of the ROM by the ROM-cookers here?

so almost exactly the same exept the extROM is a bit newer.
I don't have any inside info but I'm kinda expecting a new rom from imate for Jamin, there are updates floating around.

I have the last version but upgraded from the shipping vesion so I could activate the a2dp .
i have fiddled a bit but have not broken it.
I am now not too keen to play as it takes a bit to restore my settings/ programmes etc.
I haven't looked here for a while and nothing seems to have changed much

Have you managed to get A2DP working with the latest ROM from the i-mate website (the one question starting this thread was about)? As you rightly point out it is a bit of a hassle to do the flash, and I don't think I can be bothered untill the upgrade includes A2DP... Cheers

AFAIK, the newest ROM is a Dopod ROM 215 available at the XDA ftp site. Like you, I didn't want to reinstall apps and re-setup all settings, so I just did this radio ROM upgrade which is also at the XDA ftp site, it doesn't require a hard reset, it just changes the radio ROM. PDAMobiz_Prophet_G3_RadioRom_v2.30.21.exe.
There is a G4 version, if that applies to you.
I'm currently running the first Dutty ROM 1.57.00.00 with radio version 1.27.12.11.
For a US user in a 3g (HSDPA) area, what is the best radio version to upgrade to? I've noticed that .14 is in conflict with the latest Dutty ROM (w/TouchFlo Cube beta 2). Will I also have a problem with the older Dutty version ROM as well?
Also, is there a way to upgrade the radio w/o upgrading the rest of the ROM?

fttb radio ROM v1.27.14.09 is "joined at the hip" to the AT&T XIP/RIL of their CE OS 5.2.1622 (build 18128.0.4.4) ROM. You cannot install one without installing the other. We are looking at this however.

Hmmm, is there a way to install .12 then? Is it worth the upgrade from .11?
my opinion on radio .14
The radio 1.12.14 made me really happy! After 2 months struggling to solve the issue of "kaiser freezing after a call" this Radio solved it completely!
I was even considering selling out or retun my two kaisers before this upgrade

Thank you, I installed Duty's latest Kaiser Rom and lost my sound. Someone posted downgrading the radio fixes the issue.

Yes it does. The same thing happened to me and my Tilt. So I flashed the stock HTC rom which had the older radio on, then flashed Duttys Touchflo with Cube and it works perfect. GPS, everything is running.
So what is the best radio and rom? I want to try just the Radio.
For everyone, who looks for HTC Prophet RADIO ROM. (FTP is down at this time). So I reupload all RADIO ROM for HTC Prophet

protocol vers: 413.1.03
extrom: 2.9.7.9405
softreset is automatically.
no need of HARDRESET.
But if you want, it is better.

What's the purpose of upgrading the radio rom? Will it give my prophet 3G network compatibility or something? Do you mind writing just 1 line of the benefiits of upgrading for each of your ROMS? I find you have contributed a lot but I just dont understand it. I've read the wiki too. I'm still using default ROM 2.15 with WM5

Flashing a Radio ROM will upgrade the software used for call handling, bluetooth and WiFi. It will not give you any functionality like 3G, but may increase Reception, and reliability of other Radios. It may also alter battery life.
If it's working fine at the moment, there is no real need to upgrade.
I'm download this Radio Rom and hoping it'll cure my problem.
How do I flash this Radio ROM? Do I use the Wizard Service Tool V4? A amature question so please bare. Unless it has its own execution then disregard my question
I enter the phone into Bootloader and ran Radio ROM 2.19.21 which is what I had original and program indicate "Error [300]: Invalid Update Tool. This update utility cannot be used for your PDA phone. Please get a newer Update Utility."
So I tried other version and getting the same message. I'm very confused, plz help.

I simple use the Prophet Tools Light and it worked! everything back to normal!

Guys.. I understand that what the radio rom is for... Wifi, GSM, Bluetooth etc.. and that 2.19.21 is THE recommended 1.. but.. can someone please explain why? whats the difference between 2.19.21 and the latest 2.69.21 etc? If someone can post a brief guide on the pro's and con's of each radio rom then that would be great! Im particularly interested in a rom that gives the best wifi distance if anyone can recommend one? Also.. If I upgrade the radio rom will that affect my ability to access certain networks in in different countries? Im in South Africa would like to continue being able to use it in South Africa.. but would like longer wifi range if possible.. Thanx

I recommend it, because last time I test it. This RADIO ROM is more stabil and has aa good battery usage.
But If you think that 2.69.21 is suitable for you. You can use it too.

Thnx Varanusvincent.. so i take it that upgrading the radio rom wont have an effect on which countries I can use the phone in? See the last time I tried to flash a fone it ended up only being able to work in Canada! Oopz Dnt Ask! Hehe
Anyway, it just seems to me that the reason people create upgrades is to increase stability rather than decrease it and maybe provide new features.. I doubt that radio roms will provide new features.. but I am hoping for longer wifi range no matter what the battery drain may be.. so think i'll just take a chance this weekend and play around with the radio roms and see what happens then.. Hello, I am having problems with various ROMS.
I am on Orange in the UK firstly. I am looking for a Mobile 6.1 ROM and RADIo that will work on my handset.
I am encountering a few problems when flashing ROMS and updating RADIOs.
I have set aside my adventure so far and hope someone out there is able to assist me.
Installed HARDSPL v 1.0 - No problem
Flashed ROMEOS 4.1 mobile 6.1 - No Sound
Updated Radio from 1.27.14.05 to 1.64.08.21 Mobile 6.1 - Sound works but NO In call volume sending or receiving.
Updated Radio from 1.64.08.21 to 1.27.14.09
Flashed Schaps Rom Mobile 6.0 - No sound and no in call volume
I would like Mobile 6.1 with a working Radio, I have searched this site with no avail. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

AFAIK its only the radio you need to be concerned with regarding sound. Check the ultimate radio thread:

I am thinking that the HARDSPL installed is causing the probelm how to I change it?

Rom do you mean it (RUU_Polaris_DOPOD_CHINA_1.51.706.2_radio_sign_25.7 1.30.05_1.58.27.27_Ship) may result port from the ROM HTC Kaiser
should make sure the truth ROM are you looking for it

what You've tried to use the SIM Card Others..??
if the result is the same (weak signal) you try to use PolarisUnlocker !! careful
Thanks Hakim Rahman, I have tried other SIM Card, the problem remains. My machine model is sold in China DOPOD P860 HTC Touch Cruise is the Chinese version of my machine before the signal is good, but once I unlocked the brush Radio, and then the nightmare to come, I brush Almost all of the ROM and Radio, but the signal is still weak I really do not know how to do, and who can help me, OH my DOPOD P860 (HTC Touch Cruise China Version)
