Bugs
Ok, so this is an amazing build. I might be happy to use it forever if the joystick on the Tornado platform wasn't prone to self destruct. Still I notice a few bugs. I think we ought to keep a list in case someone makes another build...
1. Pressing the messaging button on the device still opens media player before messaging. (but accessing messaging from the notifications doesn't) The former is a longstanding bug in the slider builds.
2. long calendar items roll over the panel space slightly when selected. Most of my calendar items have long descriptions and long locations. As it is currently written the description is in all bold and can scroll over to a second line. Then there is a space. Then there is the time and location in lower case which also scrolls over to a second line. This second line for the date and location scrolls off the panel. Unless there is something in the appointment that is supposed to be displayed where the space is, it seems the easiest fix would simply be to remove the space.
3. I use exchange. If I enter contacts and press the menu softkey (right softkey) I get a menu with a blank item 6. This should have a description of what it does. I think it is the SIM Manager.
4. Sometimes in the calendar menu list in number 3 above I have scroll bars top and bottom from an additional item below option 0. Option 0 is 'Send MMS by mobile'. The un-numbered option below 0 is 'Send MMS by email'. They appear to do exactly the same thing which would probably be best described as 'Send MMS' instead.
There are some minor things that I think I can fix, like the fact that the My Programs slider has a bunch of prepopulated programs that don't exist on the build. But the above mentioned bugs I don't know how to fix myself.
Garmin Moblie XM
Has Anyone tried to run Garmin Mobile XT gps application on this rom?
For me it doesn't seem to work... I have only error message:
Data type misalignment at Program address ...
I already tried soft reset, hard reset, deleting sms messages and nothing help

i have sp5 and loaded this rom but it has lots of bugs.
1. some times my device closing it self. i did not saw this problem with other rom updates.
2. battery quickly drainnig with this rom. there was no battery drain problem with illi's wm6.1 rom. i think ricky changed or deleted some importent system files from illi's rom. and now it is not stable.
3. there is a problem between comm manager and settings menu. when i enable or disable ir from comm manager settings does not change from connections menu under settings menu.
4. i did not saw this problem every time but some times when i use key lock and then phone go to stand by mode a bip sound comes from my phone.

you hear "bip sound" because Wi-Fi turns off. After rebooting the phone Wi-Fi is turned on by default.

I've experienced random re-boots, where my battery life is just fine, then all of a sudden my phone shuts itself off with no warning. Then, when it powers back on, it tells me the battery is completely dead, but when it had shut off, the meter showed at least 50% if not more still left on the battery. This has happened with each different version of the WM6.1 roms I've tried from this board. It only seems to happen when there's been sustained CPU usage, such as during long voice calls, periods of internet browsing, etc. When the phone is on standby, sitting in my pocket, or just being used occasionally for SMS and/or short calls, it's fine.
Despite battery issues (which I suspect could just be because I have had my phone for over 2 years now, I use it a lot, and it's still using the original battery), I am very grateful for all the hard work put into these ROMs. They've allowed me to breathe new life into what is becoming an old phone, and put off the need to spend money I don't have on a new smartphone!

This Kitchen has built in AT&T customize on first install and on HR, if you don't need it just remove the OEMOPERATORS FOLDER from the OEM Folder.

This Kitchen is so complete I had to break into 2 parts. Download and extract both parts and put all files and folders into one directory to use.

For Clarification:
1) This is the original InGeNeTiCs' ROM all I did in this Version is strip out the "call home" stuff, added a few dlls that were missing but were needed for some of the HTC/touch apps (these files can be found in sys/missing files).
2) There are two OEMOPERATORS folders, one in OEM and one in SYS the one in OEM is one I put there as a example of how you can add your own cab files for settings, splash screen or whatever it is you need simply edit the config.txt file and put whatever files in the files you need. *I am not going to to into great detail how to do this all it takes is a little common since. You can delete mine if you like.
3) There are no hidden, super secret, xda-elite only, make my Wizard fly, bull**** tweaks included. just a clean, won't leave a bad taste in your mouth unless you burn it, Kitchen.
4) My only reason for creating this kitchen is to prove that the "InGeNeTiCs'- Official Microsoft-Made Specifically for the Wizard-Drivers and all ROM" is as solid and stable as any other ROM or kitchen out there if done right. Other than all I did is create and add a lot of OEM packages so you could have choices in life.
The base is like Coca-Cola "Original".
Everything works as it should the only limitations are M$ related!
This has been a fun ride but the ride seems to have come to an end.
This release is so stable that I can not bear to call it a beta anymore.
A HUGE THANK YOU to all that have contributed to this project. In the end I'm sure we all wanted WM6 but we wanted a stable version that didn't crash, lock up, and just plain ol' worked!

This ROM looks to be more stable than the last one, and also I see that the reboot slowdown issue is non-existent.(It would slow down horribly on the 3rd-or-so reboot/SR) Overall, faster.
HTC AudioManager + Recorder are NOT working, but maybe that's just a package issue (I used one of my packages I had lying around). Pretty much that's it.
Wi-Fi is OK, nothing major. No phone issues as of yet.
I did not test the Home Plugin because I used my 6-tab plug. That works quite well.App Launching is a little bit faster, or maybe that would just be me
Word completion works,KB is fine (tested in Notes)
I would give it a 9.5/10 (only because of no Touch camera ,otherwise, it rocks!)

Audio manager package that is in OEM that was included in this build is reworked for this kitchen and works fine. Recorder is in process still.
Do you know of a working 4. camera package or one in a pre-built Wizard ROM?

This works with the included *cities.xml file. The PNGs are compressed to increase speed. Works fine. It's in color.
Got AM working (my mistake, used a wrong package) but VoiceRec is still offline. Not that I use it all that much.
I think I have a bug : you need to have WMP installed to get AM working.
EDIT: New package with "Pro" icons added.

Enable all sounds
Remove clock and put battery indicator on top instead (if you press & hold it will bring up power/battery tab).
Add day and date to touch home plug-in you can change it to display as you like:
dddd will give you day of week as a word as in "Thursday", dd will give you date style (numeric day of the month) as in "30" without quotes of course.
The same is true for month mmmm and year yyyy so experiment!

I added a bunch of packages to the kitchen and have de-bugged most of them, this one I can't find. During the OS Build the process errors out at "OEM\HTC WMP Today Plug-in" with a dialog that says "The file 'temp\dump\WmpPluginToday.dll' already exists. Know I know this is telling me that a previous package has used this dll flile, what I can't find is which one it is!
Any input greatly appriciated.

HTC X-Button 1.5 offers nothing more over 1.0. 1.0 works fine with this ROM ver 5.0 (I use it)
But, if you really want it ,try mattk's package.

Ok, I already took both the 1.5 ver out of OEM. Now its complaining about sys/touchflo.dll.
edit; NOob error... left both touchflo and non-touchflo enabled in the build... fixed.
Have you built with the NON-TouchFlo dll selected?

That's what's in my current build. Nothing major to report of.
1st flash test report
Ok,
So I got the build to run with Merlin's help (thank you Sir). Flashed back to T-Mobile 2.26, up to IPL/SPL 3.08 and GSM 2.69.11 then the kitchen build.
First the good news:
1. For the first time in a dozen or so ROMs I have flashed Voice Command workes flawlessly! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!
2. Basic functions work good, no glaring errors.
3. As theloon noted, the backlight controls will not lock the wizard.
The bad news:
1. If I attempt to launch any CAB file (including the 2.69 radio fix) I get a message saying "CAB failed to load"
2. see #3 above, it doesnt lock the wizard, it however will not open backlight control either. recommend taking this out of the launcher and just leave it in the settings page.
3. HTC Audio manager, if I attempt to open any audio file I immediatly get a message saying "critically low on system memory..." WMP still works fine.
4. The dastardly weather application doenst like the XML file i built for it. I wish there was a way to test that without building. (see questions below)
5. I used merlin's 6 button HTC home plug in, looks very nice BTW, couldnt do much testing on it since my contacts DB is at work. My only negative on this one, the musical note icon (far right) is very hard to see. I dont know who did the icon art but perhaps we could find a better icon?
6. I tried loading the AT&T extended ROM as part of this build, bad idea. The flash gets to 5% and crashes... took it out, flashes fine.
Questions:
1. Is there a way to test the weather XML file without building it into the ROM? IE: If i build the the ROM with the weather XML file included in the build I can only edit it. I cant delete, replace etc. So I was thinking that if I took it out of the build and put the file in after, maybe I could speed up testing.
2. Several of the packages dont seem to have any output, IE: the WMP home plug in, I dont see anything on the home screen that relates to WMP?
So there it is, I have to re-flash to a fully working ROM before I go to work tomorrow. I will be on line all day (from my office) so post away..

LOL? I think not dear Senior Member... I have tried every possible way to delete that file, stop the plug included. The file properties say "included in ROM" and will not allow changes to file prop. Thats why I asked about building without it, so the file properties would allow changes.

First the good news:

3. As theloon noted, the backlight controls will not lock the wizard.
The bad news:
1. If I attempt to launch any CAB file (including the 2.69 radio fix) I get a message saying "CAB failed to load"
2. see #3 above, it doesn't lock the wizard, it however will not open backlight control either. recommend taking this out of the launcher and just leave it in the settings page.
3. HTC Audio manager, if I attempt to open any audio file I immediatly get a message saying "critically low on system memory..." WMP still works fine.
4. The dastardly weather application doenst like the XML file i built for it. I wish there was a way to test that without building. (see questions below)
5. I used merlin's 6 button HTC home plug in, looks very nice BTW, couldnt do much testing on it since my contacts DB is at work. My only negative on this one, the musical note icon (far right) is very hard to see. I dont know who did the icon art but perhaps we could find a better icon?
6. I tried loading the AT&T extended ROM as part of this build, bad idea. The flash gets to 5% and crashes... took it out, flashes fine.
Questions:
1. Is there a way to test the weather XML file without building it into the ROM? IE: If i build the the ROM with the weather XML file included in the build I can only edit it. I cant delete, replace etc. So I was thinking that if I took it out of the build and put the file in after, maybe I could speed up testing.
2. Several of the packages dont seem to have any output, IE: the WMP home plug in, I dont see anything on the home screen that relates to WMP?
So there it is, I have to re-flash to a fully working ROM before I go to work tomorrow. I will be on line all day (from my office) so post away..

What I can deduce from your observations all/most of your "hanging" problems seem to stem from the final size when you build your ROM.
I have experienced this myself, the max size for a wizard rom is around 56 MB for the ROM, but that does not include Boot loaders, Radio and Extended ROM.
In my case my phone is locked so the "customize" just uses storage/program space and does some reg tweaks.
If you want more space in your build you can use the compression tools located elsewhere in this forum.
As for the Home Plug weather XML make sure it's attributes are not set to "read only" and you should be able to exchange them at will and SR to test there usability.
My HTC Audio Manager works flawlessly not sure what you did! be careful using other OEM packages, the ones I included in this beta were designed and tested to work with this beta.
FYI HTC Audio Manager was built using Windows Media SDK so it uses components of WMP (dlls and such), I will probably move those components to different directories.
Backlight is a matter of a redirect/link.
Feel free to fix any/all issues and post for everyone to test!!!

Its already running on my Qtek 8310 Looks veery nice. This sliding panel is great and this green scheme and wallpaper are realy nice. After 10mins playing with ROM i didnt find any bugs.

2. I observed the that the "ALARM BELL ICON" is not properly position because it covers the far end of the date at the sliding panel can you move the bell below as not to cover the date....
3. I agree with you CHOME has a bugbecause when I tried to configure "MY FAVORITES" its gone....
4. When playing Windows Media Player the backlight doesn't turn off can you check on this please...

Hello what are the steps to lord this Rom? I have loaded WM6.1 on My HTC620 and Star Trek but this file structure is different. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I speak spanish...so if you're interrested on a rom in spanish give me the files and I'll translate it for you, just tell me how!!! hehehe, when wm6 starts a Crosbow has a spanish version, and people in forum translate the english files for him then he cooked up to his rom.
There is no MMS in this ROM only SMS (Text messages). I like the newer icons in this base rom, especially the signal colors. Also, the dialpad does not work so well, after call is ended the end call button stays up and red. I know this is beta, just some notes on what I've found using it.
Bluetooth doesn't work (although the light does turn blue, it doesn't send or receive anything).
Videos can't be viewed in Windows Media Player ("The souce filter for the file could not be loaded." error message)
Again, I know this is beta...

Thank you for this release. I liked very much I had some problems. I can´t change any registry item. Seems that I don´t have any permission to modify thing is system. And I´ve tried to disable Security Warning during CAB installation and I wasn´t successful.
You know hot to disable this security stuff in your ROM?

MMS must be in ArcSoft MMS 4.2 was integrated. But i shall chick it
If you go to messages you must see the option MMS. If not i certain upload R2. That was also the plan.

I want also make a PTG edetion after i finished the Dutch edition. I have all the translated stuff available from a first try.

Thank you for publishing this ROM. There is a problem with the PIN input screen : there are no buttons on the screen. You can use the buttons on the keyboard, but I was afraid to use that way.
I would need a very clean ROM , so if you have a corrected one, please publish it.
I downloaded everything from your share page, but I have not enough knowledge to cook my own ROM.

Camera is now fixed!
I am using now the Camera OEM from SVI. Other isues i'am now trying to solve before i come with R2

How did you fix reg settings? For some reason people complain that they can not do it with my rom. I can, they can't. weird.
The icons not showing up has to do with the oem used, and the .MUI's used.
I had that problem when switching between kitchens. Sometimes editing the init flashfiles.dat does not work as I got duplicates that did not work. It is best to use the initflashfiles.dat that came with the rom, and edit it as nessesary.

I think i solved a lot ;-) now Probably not all. I create initfiles.dat to get the missing icons in the settings part ;-)
I removed the HTC Taskmanager because i used e closeApp when you pushed more then 2 a3 secconds on the voice button.
So i can now place release II. I hope that all issues are soved now. I look a lot at other ROMS and kitchen regs apps etc.
But before posting release II i want to know first his battery drain. In the mean team i now starting with other language roms
I was messing around with the kitchen that you posted and the rom you made (v1) and I have to say I am impressed.
I also had an accident wich left my wizard running at 38mb free ram!! I have to figure out how. never seen that before.
A couple of suggestions:
Enable NTIZ (time and date fro network) OM won't install if the correct time is not posted
Enable RAPI
Remove security when instaling cabs
Disable error reporting
Tasks.ini you might want to move into Office
SAP Settings you might want to move to the control panel
As well as modem link
Also, I noticed 2 commanagers: the diamond, and this new system like commanager in the control panel

I will post him tonight. I am now checking his powerconsumption. After 6 hour battery was still 100% with HTC Home.
But Release 2 is without HTC Home.

GPRS/EDGE issue I do not know how to fix. maybe you may be able to help, or at least requires some inquiry:
Gmaps and OperaMini can not connect to the network even though the E icon is up. I have to press and hold end call button to disable it; only then those programs start a new connection. It is like the connection times out, but does not fully disconnect.
Battery is lasting a ridiculously long time with pushmail enabled (imap Gmail) much longer than the other roms I flashed. kudos.

I have also a G4 but i dont put a SPL in it so it must bu G3 G4 safe.
I hoping now on some feedback to improve this release and maybe to expand in some programs.

it should not be, because i have replaced most of the oem folders with the ones present in the original rom..yet you must wait about 2 secs after you soft reset

Mine is still doing the Cold boot config process....its taking a long time
1. Sound settings, at ringtone change - "The settings could not be saved"
2. There is a Windows icon "Getting Started" in main manu.
3. long press for Bluetooth - Wifi on/off don't work - ok, now is working, you have to install it from "Expert" menu
4. Menu is hanging up

I have the same problems as well and I cant find Clear storage app
which I would like...
It takes a very long time to install from cold boot
maybe more testing your end would be good
Thinking of upgrading ROM
Hey guys
I'm still stuck with the stock ROM on my Vox. Got too much content on my phone and didn't want to bother reinstalling so many apps and stuff again.
Now I'm seriously considering upgrading to 6.5 in the imminent summer holidays.
Anyone have any opinions on this? Worth it? Not worth it? No difference really?
The most important things to me really is Windows Live messenger. Another thing i MUST have is numerous calendar entries on homescreen all the time (lovin using "CBreminder plugin" at the moment with Grass skin2).
I've been through the forum posts and found quite a few people talking about improvements and how much better these roms are. What are the major changes that would make it worth it?
I'd appreciate any input from you guys.

Not worth it yet as it still has bugs..
I would hold off for a week or so..I am back on Snap 1.4 now
and I wont be touching a new 6.5 rom till its out of beta form

I presume I can download Windows Live messenger separately and install it.
But does anyone have any idea if CBreminder plugin would work in the newer roms?

Windows live works a treat on...the weather app is great..try it

23008 & hybrid: lots of updates from a leaked topaz 6.5 at&t rom and a few tweaks
21921:well id heard some good things about the sys version, so, id thought id give it a try, and man im happy i did! its got some decent speed improvements and fixes the icon for an installed app showing up issue, and stays in the settings menu when you close a setting! spinlock and extendir were causing the ie download issues and storage card access problem so out they went. ( and it doesnt seem slower at all with them out..) and with joshs scrolling files and some reg tweaks i did,this might be the fastest rom ive realised yet!
added: based on 21921, josh super speed scrolling,audio boost, many reg tweaks.
removed: extendir, spinlock patching,many ir driver files/reg entries, back to standard 4 panel start menu.
fixed: programs showing after install, storage card access, stays in settings now.
stats: about 125mb's free storage and 66mb's free ram at boot.

23004: Ok, well guess what everyone? ive got the new phone canvas in the rom! its faster then the previous one, looks nicer i think, and doesnt need any patch/fix for the call scrolling! i re did my base drivers off of josh's and tpc kitchen so the driver version is 2.34 now and various fix's and stuff... enjoy!
stats: got about 120mb's free and 55mb's ram at boot
23003: hey everyone just droping a newly cooked rom in your laps
seems a little smoother in the interface, but otherwise a minor update.
i updated the htc album from a jade rom and also the phonecanvas but, not really noticeable, but just an update
23001_2: ok, extendir fully working, and updated touch input so it has the keyboard icon.
23001: Well, ive been gone for like 2 weeks and man if roms fly! 2 versions out since the last one... well after doing some reading ive included Shadrac's extendir filter and neos2007's driverpack beta2 along with a few new tweaks, updates and apps and dispite what i thought about my last rom this ones is FASTER! im amazed, now im not quite sure whats done it exactly, probaly a combination of things but im sure you'll all enjoy!
Stats: Compressed, 104mb free stoarge, 62 megs free ram (102mb total).

this one i really like... nice and fastttttt, includes bt ftp now by request and is uncommpressed so only 92 mb storage and about 62 mb ram but i must say, this suckers quick, i did the touch priority adjustment and a few others

So far the only issue I have found is the text in dciBattery is in a foreign language Otherwise working good so far...
edit: Unable to change ringtone. On OK, there is a fast scrolling of the options but then it defaults to Ring01. OK does not close the Sounds and Notifcations window. You have to go to the menu screen and select Today or another option...

thanks for pointing that out, hmm not sure why the sound and notification is doing that, and the battery/memory bar i have there is in russian (dont think there is an english one) but it only pops up if you touch the little bar at the top

im try new ROM.
problems: "phone settins"-"incoming call" sound-no put "ok" & no close .
& no change ringtone and ringtype
im install "resko explorer" and other app.: no see icons in start menu. ups: see icons after softreset (wm2002 )
"file explorer" with explore storage card 2 time FREEEEZ & help my only softrezet.

hehe, well im using 3.57 and it didnt work on every driver..
i couldnt patch the nk, ddi, wce_pmem and ones pertaining to bluetooth, wifi and usb, but i patched all the others, it just took trial and error, im curious if the spinlock patch would work on the nk and ddi if they were later versions in regard to the mem hack.

theres few things i need help on for the next release, loading a theme at fresh start, i can only seem to get it to install a tsk file, and would be gratefull to know how to have multiple 3rd party titanium panels at fresh start (do i need to cut & paste entries into the cpr or have them installed at boot?)
also anybody good at resizing exe's or dll's?

My impressions: not clearly why there is no office.
The album does not play video files. Photos in an album are shown badly-vaguely.
Management seemed insufficiently accurate. Icons of installed programms appear in the menu "start" after softreset.
The weather established by me in the titan has not earned. 2 versions. connected, but no weathericons. only "+++++".
The theme was pleasant "utopicdesign"
add: i need bluetothftp.
i install bluetothftp-dont work wifi. uninstall bluetothftp-work wifi.
