Need Help Urgently related to MMS

Hi Everyone,
I just bought a pre owned O2 Mini S. GR8 pda phone but I found difficulties in getting my MMS working. No drop down list for MMS selection at Messaging? Only have Outlook email and Text Message... !!???!!!
MMS Inbox is not available. But MMS Configuration tool box is there under Menu. I did tried to set up MMS setting but still could not see my MMS Inbox.
Anyone?? Any idea how to fix this issue?
I'm currently running on:
ROM version: 1.5.4.2 WWE
Radio version: 01.09.10
Protocal version: 4.0.13.20
ExtROM version: 1.5.4.102
** I know this is old.... old version. Perharps anyone could guide me through changing to the latest version. I'm a newbie, detail instruction will be very much appreciated.

Check that you have "MMS Configuration ..." available in your Outlook Menu.
If you don't then something has seriously gone wrong. Did you install the "ArcsoftMMS-TuMa.cab" file through the EXTROM or manually? If not - do so now. MMS is NOT available in the Base ROM.
Click it, and just ensure that it comes up and is active. The about should say "MMS Composer Version 3.0.7.11"
Click [ok] and close it.
Menu -> Tools -> New Account
Enter "[email protected]" as your email (doesn't matter what). Click Next.
Detect settings ... wait ... Click Next.
Enter a username "mms" will do. Click Next.
Select "MMS" as the Account Type. Click Next.
Incoming Server = "mms", Outgoing Server = "mms". Click Finish.
Finally ... click "NO" to not download mail for this account.
Now go back to Menu -> "MMS Configuration ..." -> Servers
Edit and modify the "Sample Server" to your required settings ... (which I can't help you with)
Presto ... you now have an MMS account.
That is a qoute from WiKi. It is for setting up MMS on a Blueangle (02 XDA IIs). Hope you have some luck. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for your instructions but still I'm kinda confused with the followings:
1. Step 2 keep saying connecting...... but nothing happened. I have already setup my mms configuration according to Optus setting.
2. Step 3 where it asks to select POP3 or IMAP4 ? I just click next. So it's on POP3. I tried to find MMS but not available as a choice.
3. Finished up with the rest and it is good that I have the MMS category under messaging.
4. I tried to do one mms to myself but failed as the input field TO will only takes an email address but not a numeric phone number. Gosh !! Somewhere went wrong again..... ~sigh.
I have the MMS Composer Version 3.0.7.14 under Arcsoft. I don't know how to install any *.cab files. Maybe you can let me know. Do you think if I do a hard reset will help in getting everything back in order?? Or since I doing the hard reset, may as well update the rom. What do you think mate ?? Any version recommended ??

I am sorry I can't help with any recommendations or tips or tricks on the upgrade. I think it may be worth upgrading if you are going to hard reset it as you will loss all your data either way and if you are thinking of upgrading it may be could fix two things at one time.

Thanks Krinkiespijer. It works with the help of the download mms CAB installer. Gr8 stuff. I did a soft reset and the mms folder is still there. No problem at all.

Since builds of Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard are starting to show up on various devices, it may be a good idea to have a thread here with common registry settings.

Enable/Disable Recipient Address AutoComplete in SMS
To enable the new recipient address suggestions feature in the SMS application, go to HKLM\System\Inbox\RecipientAutoComplete and set/change the following DWORD:
MaxSuggestions=4 (for example)

To disable suggestions, change the value to 0.

Disable/Enable Threaded SMS
If you want to disable the new threaded SMS feature, go to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM\ (create if necessary) and edit/create the following DWORD:
SMSInboxThreadingDisabled=1

Sorry oldsap, I didn't see that you already pointed out the DWORD issue.

Is there a way to set the default mailto on a WM6.1 smartphone to a 3rd party email client? I tried with a registry tweak that works on a WM3se PPC, but on the smartphone it interferes with the text messaging link. Thanks for any help...

any idea how to use registry to disable the camera?

Sorry for lack of knowledge but were would i find the place to enter/type this data in?

You need some registry editor. One that you can use it Total Commander, which is freeware.

I'm looking for bluetooth/AudioGateway settings.
I found only this link http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa915920.aspx, but this rules could be valid only for windows CE,

I don't have "RecipientAutoComplete" in the HKLM\System\Inbox section. Do I create it? If so, what settings?

has anyone figured out how to disable the new email account wizard? I'd like to input my settings manually because the wizard defaults to POP3 and I use IMAP on my devices.

when you go to setup your email, put in a bogus email (ex.. [email protected]) it will cause the wizard to ask you for all your settings.

I have the same problem. lol. Can I just make it?

NM, I use PHM Registry editor and added a new key, and then created a DWORD value and set it to 4.
I then rebooted my device and tested it out by making a new SMS message, it works like a charm!

change today screen lines
i dont wanna disable the grey lines i already did that
anyone know how to allow rss feeds on today screen to be multiple lines? im thinking its for sure a registry change because date single line is in the registry under HKLM\software\microsoft\today. but rss cuts off and i cant read the rest of the title

Where are the email settings/options on htc touch pro??

Hi,
I've searched the forum and can't find an answer to my problem.
I've set up 2 pop emails (corp pop & gmail) and both work in sending & receiving mail.
Now I want to edit the settings such as signature, max download size, download frequency, etc but can't find it anywhere.
I set up the accounts through touchflo/mail/menu/accounts/new account.
I have gone to messaging/menu but there is no "option" field anywhere.
I went to touchflo/mail/menu/accounts/accounts but this just takes me to messaging
I went to the email settings of Activesync but it doesn't show the individual email settings.
I also want to delete a 3rd mail account that I don't want there.
I am using:
EnergyRom Genesis 09.06.09

You need to go to Tools---->Options to change the settings. Do it with the microsoft email application, not the TF3D one (I haven't used tf3d in a long time, so I'm not sure how to use it).

PROGRAMS > MESSAGING > MENU > OPTIONS
Then you will get tabs which show 'Accounts' 'Message' 'Address' 'Storage'

This is all I see when i tap "menu" in messaging (not touchflo)

Send/Receive

Scrolling down doesn't bring up more options?

none. there is no scroll bar so I suppose there are no other fields. it's really weird that tits not there

I took out the battery for more than 2 minutes and this seemed to have done the trick!

To enable sms delivery notification go to Messages tab > All messages > Menu > Settings > Options > SMS > Request delivery report

I do not get a SENT notification either, really annoying!
Delivery reports are useless as they appear in your inbox as a message the needs to be opened and read, and then every othe messgae is a bloody DR!

Doesnt work for me either rather annoying, i think its to do with htc messaging blocking every over sms part of wimo.
Some one else said that scripts did not work as before due to the htc messaging app.

Some sort of notificaion is all we need be it visual or audable!!
I sent my first ever text message on this phone 3 times, I only realised when the receipient let me know they had got it 3 times!! lol
I'd pressed send 3 times as had no idea it had gone!!

I installed Zenyee Disable HTC Messaging 1.2.CAB so I could get the notifications back.
It disables HTC messaging so you can use the MS one.
It also disables MMS, so if you need MMS it's probably not a good idea.

I bet it depends on your network. I am with O2 in Uk and neither work. I have tried all the tweak. For those who it does not work please report which network you are on.

Using Sense SMS interace yeah, how?? What sent notification do you get, sound? Visual?

UK on Orange, no sent notification at all, tried all tweaks.
But.... It should not be network dependant the phone should give you a notification when your sms has been sent not your network provider!!

Same on 02 however I would agree that this is a phone function not network dependant. I too could not find the reg key and the option in BsB tweaks is not there in v1.1 - could somebdody please confirm that this is design intent to remove this as the reg key is not there? I finally got it to work.
Let me be clear i am talking about message notification (sound and popup saying measage sent after each text message) and not delivery report and just so you all know i have an unbranded sim free uk version, but i do not think this should be network related or even firmware related ie. vodaphone ect
I disabled Htc messaging (Now using native Mocrosoft sms messaging) by using zenyee Diasble HTC messaging 1.2 cab

the cab change some graphic??
so now you have the send notification of the sms with a pop up like mms,and not with an sms like before?

I get an envelope with sms written beneath it in the taskbar when the message has been sent. It could be a slightly different graphic from other graphics you have seen (remember we are not using htc messaging but microsoft messaging app) but since i did not have this function working until now i cannot tell you.
Either way i am happy for the functionality now and am not worried about a small graphic

I've just bought an htc touch 2 and it is my first poket pc, I'm new of this "world" and I'm a bit confused with the new gadget but really happy.
I'd like to know if exist a program for sms notification, every time I send messages I'm not sure if It really works and I always have to go to the outbox folder. Maybe I need to change HD TWEAK on the windows mobile options?

Open your sms message box, menu => Extra => Options.
Now click on (touch) the sms account in the list. The first option will allow you to get receipt confirmations.
