Some of the files are the same yes but that version was before I got my hands one the original Diamond dump... so the one I use now works muche better.

I do not know but I've heard that it should work if there is no radio inside the ruu and there is no radio....
But please check for confirmation on that before flashing...
I only had my Touch for 2 day so cooking for ELF is new to me.

This is beta still so no point in making it for elfin yet... and if I find the info needed I'll make it compadable to ELFIN too

Nice first ROM! I WAS able to flash this to my Elfin, so it is compatible. Memory is (after 2 resets with nothing running)

It also seems to be UC compliant (didn't test as I flashed w/o SD installed).
The only bug I have found so far is that Throttle Config and the application will not run. I navigated to the ThrottleLauncher folder in program files and all the folders seem to be empty. I wonder if something is set to load from the SD card, via customization? Gullum could you post the ThrottleLauncher folder, so we can simply replace the empty one?
Edit: Sorry I was so excited to see your ROM worked, I didn't read all of Post 1 indicating TL was not installed and that it was UC compliant. I will read next time....

I don't think it's yet included in the ROM. I flashed too to my elf but, until the TL portion is added, there's not much to report other than I found no bugs so far.

this is original rom for kaiser not port from other device,CHS,CHT and WWE
DFT always build org roms.
ita's and ger's langs files, i used 20270's, haven't found fra langs.

I installed this ROM for fun yesterday, it actually worked pretty well. Only problem was the dialer -- it wasn't a smart dialer, and the text on the buttons in the dialer was in another language I didn't understand. But it was smooth, fast, seemed to work fine.

very impressed
- really really dark. darker than any rom here
- light, u can really choose apps to install
- nice battery indicator, with % displayed above icon in top bar
- very nice dialer, diamond skin portrait + lanscape; chinese labels are actually fun, since u have intuitive icons on them anyway
- d3d drivers work ok
- all apps work ok (igo8, youtube, opera, total commander, dotfred taskmgr, easy sync pro etc.) except adv_config_3.0; u can use kaiser tweak instead
- as fast as any good 6.1 rom (i really don't buy things like "wow, this is blazing fast, faster than anything" - kaisers are still slow let's face it)
all in all i will keep it for now, i really like this a lot, congrats to the chef
I figured it was Chinese on the dialer. I like how the dialer looks, but I can't search my contacts by pressing number keys in the dialer - i.e. no smart dialer. Is there a registry key to activate it?
Yup. I gave the ROM a twirl and found it very fast and responsive. I'm looking forward to a minimalist build from one of our resident chefs off of this Kaiser native ROM.

I'm guessing it's the new kaiser rom that's to be released soon.
There's also an ("original") Xperia 20275 ROM out there...
I've played all day with a dump of latest htc smartphone. Some nice little new things. I've been able to build something but I don't have time to finish it and fixing/testing everything.
So if someone feels like finishing the task here are all the files :
OEM, SYS and ROM folders I've done so far.
original OEM and SYS folders from s740
new things that work :
-new skinning for calling screens with new shortcuts, for exple pressing up arrow puts loudspeaker on
-new audomanager with album art
-new htc sliding panels with a weather panel that works wonderfully
-new htc album
-new jbed
-audiobooster
-new arcsoft mms manager
-sms and mms are now stored under the same one account
-I made the rom UC capable
.....
Things that don't work :
-sliding keyboard : some letters don't work (seems to be only the keys that can be used to type numbers)
-connection setup doesn't work. (so I haven't been able to test if mms work)
-scrolling is slower than in my 19700 rom. I guess it's because some chinese guys hacked (I found the rom on a chinese forum) a file to make it better but I can't locate it. This was a nice feature that I miss.
-I couldn't get usb to pc to work (a new feature in s740 rom). but since we have WM5torage it doesn't really matter
-probably other things !

Nop, Hikey search for the new xip, included in s740 rom, not in Windows.nb from Dr Gonzo.
XIP is not present in *.raw from Erofich.

It is not a 20279 core rom yet.
do not try to flash it, it will brick your phone.
I have palyed with this SYS for a day.
but never find any new feature except the new contact list book.
and i had some problems with GPRS connection.

I played with the files today, so far, it's works pretty good, for a fresh start (I remember the 96dpi debacle when nothing worked lol) I love the home screen design. HTC Audiomanager is great too. I haven't been able to test the weather app. because I forgot to include xt9 at all. So I couldn't type in my Wifi password lol!

- wav, ringtones, icon, TF 2D light black and light blue, S2U2,....v...v.
OK i have now downloading the "Herald-USPL-Beta3" after that i extract it and put the files in RUU. Then i startet "herald-uspl.exe" and follow the intruductions...
but dont work

Weather problems.
First of all I loved this rom, good job on it. But I can not get the weather to work. When I install the Manila 2D weather proxy, I can not get touch flo started again. If I unistall the proxy, touch flo works. I am using the tzone hack with TMobile. I hope someone have some ideas that might help...thanks.
I just compared it with the PdaViet rom of the same build, I noticed that you had just changed a few things in that rom so that it looks to be your rom. If you would like to contribute in some way then I request you to build your owm rom for the release on xda-developers, because taking the credit on some other person's rom is not fair for his good work.

what do you want to know I do? general from different roms. I have to compare and replace the file (*.reg, rgu, dat, dll,icon,....) from different roms. files,... is nice, I replaced. I downloaded ship rom for Touch HD and Herald. dump them!,Xip,... this is main!! after replace the files that different roms has. I don't copy any roms!!! I build it for my girlfriend! the rom combine the good things of some roms. If you think so I am very sad!! I take a week to do it! my purpose to give a forum for bro to find bugs in the rom because it is firts my rom for mg.

I am sorry,I just misinterpreted. I would love to see you continue your good work.
I want to tell you about a bug in the rom - The volume_control is very slow compared to the one in the Open Touch v7 roms(it is instant in those roms).

how safe is this app.? and how do you install it? is the screen shot above the same as what it actually looks like? forgive me, as this is my first try at upgrading my Touch.

Best example is have a look at Onyx latest WM6.5 beta releases...
Hope that will give you a great opportunity to tune your ROM.
tried, good, fast and stable, but in my Elf with 64mb often is lack of memory, is there a simple rom with wm6.5 and not htc stuff? Thanks a lot!

many tnx for the effort, downloaded and testing now
this latest rom, V76, is brilliant.
Its quite stable
& the honeycomb menu isnt laggy at all (unlike another 6.5 rom i tried)
but i do have a couple of complaints:
When scrolling down the start menu, it stops after 4 rows
it would be much better it if just continued onwards as fast as your flicked it
Otherwise it takes three flicks to get to the bottom of my list.
The other thing is how it always hangs for a moment or two when you lock it.
Because of this, im now using S2U2 like i used to with a 6.1 rom, but if it was a bit quicker, i would be using the built in lock.
Other than these two things, its great

That is how Microsoft has developed it. For some reason, the Microsoft guys find it useful this way.

four rows is all i can see at a time, so its just moving down to the next four.

It works great !!
But when I enter the File Explorer options, and touch the folder in which I want to enter, the screen starts scrolling ??
I have to press very hardly to the enter the folder...
Same behaviour in messaging and similar apps where there is selection from a list.
Is someone else facing this problem ???
Please help me to solve this problem...

It's HTC Biotouch
If you dont want use it, you can using SKTool or MemMaid for disable it on startup

Hehe.. that's the infamous "butter finger" issue You might also see other issues such as dead areas of the screen and programs closing down unexpectedly when you touch the screen. It cannot be completely fixed unless you replace touch.dll and biotouch.dll with an older one. You need to cook them into the ROM, it's not a simple matter of copy and paste into \Windows.
So is it the case with other 6.5 ROM's also (I mean the Onyx ones) ?

No, you won't at all.
This ROM is built with the OSBuilder kitchen, thanks to AndrewSh and Barin over at asusmobile.ru.
Also, thanks to Boomer and mwang at DFT for the SYS builds.
grooveROM is now OverClocked to 652.8 Mhz, thanks to iwfratz's OverClockTool with dynamic settings. If you want to disable or change the overclocking, go to Start>Tools>OverClockTool. ROM will automatically reset to default overclock values on soft reset.
This ROM uses the RhodiumW Cellular South ROM as a base, and includes stock OEM packages from that ROM, with OEMdrivers and OEMXIPKernel from the Verizon MR2 ROM, plus many updated packages from other leaked ROMs. The ROM includes the COM3 SYS 21680, Manila Core 2019.1914 with CFC compression, and I've added some of my own tweaks as well. The Manila Home tab now is fully landscape enabled. The rom is fast and stable. Also tethering safe with WiFiRouter included in the comm manager. The ROM provisions your device on first boot with your choice of carriers via SteadySoft Provisioning. Thanks to Dinik for the glass Manila and taskbar icon mods.

This is a Rom with the Manila Core 2013 cooked into the rom. If I am not mistaken, manila cannot be installed separately as a cab which is what I think your asking. It can only be cooked into a rom.

Great looking rom. I would like to try it out but I have just one question before I do. How much ram do you have left over after a soft reset. You can tell me either the percentage used with HTC Task Manager (Which I see you used on the rom) or the free ram on the memory properties page. Thanks in advance for the reply and I cant wait to test run this rom.

I'm currently running a Titanium only rom, so can't test now, but I seem to recall task manager showed 52% to 54% used after soft reset. That's with a 15MB PP size, which directly affects available ram memory. I've optimized my XIP a bit more since this release, and my Titanium ROM is currently at 42% used. Once I get the manila files cfc compressed, I will release an update to this rom with the improved XIP.

Actually, that is not completely true. BareNakedRom has an installable manilla package.

Of course, you would have to convert all modules to files for a cab installation which would in all likeliness affect performance and speed of Manila and it's dependencies. Cab installing Manila 2.5 seems kinda silly to me.

Is your Touch Pro 2 CDMA or GSM? This ROM is for all CDMA carriers only, which is why it is in this subforum.

What's are the differences between the COM2 and COM3 version? And how do I know which one I would need?
