problem with my magician with WM5

Hi all, I have read through the forum and I saw that everyone said that it is impossible to put Windows Mobile 5 into Magician.
Here are some proofs:

Ok, here is my problem. I received this as a gift... as you can see, the OS is in Chinese. I tried to install an English flash in it using instructions provided from http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Magician .. but it doesn't work.. MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe keeps complainting that it cannot flash the phone.
I don't care if it's using WM3 or WM4 or WM5... as long as I can use it... can anyone help? thanks.

Its not a magician, it has an Omap processor.

Ah okay makes sense now... why would anyone want to put a magician case on it?

The Magician and Charmer have the same design(case). T-mobile sales them as MDA Compact and Compact II. The Compact is in silver, the Compact II is in a dark silver ; )
Use a HTC Charmer Rom, i think there's one on the ftp.

Incase you want to know, you can flash its ROM with aWizard (I did that before). Do a search in this forum.
BTW, you can tell it is an MDA Compact with pink/black face is a Charmer. And the face plate is plastic, while Magician (as I heard) is made of 'metal'.

There is a rom in ftp, Prophet_AKU2.2_LvsW_edition.exe (19-11-2006), it's password protected. anyone knows the password?

Problem
i use this new ROM.
I have unlocked my JAMin and recently i installed AKU 2.3 from lvsw.
But now i installed this rom and the Prophet don´t pass of boot screen.
Can anyone help me.
How put my JAMin in bootloader screen??

Try 'Dopod818ProRom_SPL 2.xx.0001_stopatbootloaderfix.rar' from ftp://xda:[email protected]/Uploads/Prophet/Prophet-roms/ , maybe this can help you.

(ROM_QTEK_S200_2.20.7.34_2.47.21_2.20.7.114_WWE)
I assume this ROM also uses that version? Will this one give any extra improvements when I use it? (any people who have experience with it already?).
And you say it's faster, is it because this one has a different pool size?

I also had the rom you mentioned installed prior to this lvsw edition, lvsw rom is much faster, it also has the stereo BT I think and the new commanager, I can't fault it (apart from not having a reliable 3.2 lvsw rom, but thats not around yet)
It really rocks this one, best for a couple of weeks, I don't need to look any further at the moment

I used the SPL extracted from the nbh of the official wm6.1 build which reverted my SPL back to the official one. You won't be able to flash a custom ROM anymore, until you install HardSPL again.
I have been using the Kaiser for about 30 min and no freeze.
It was not my idea that it was a SPL issue, someone mentioned this in a thread about the leaked WWE 6.1 (which is identical to the official WWE one)
edit1: This only applies if you installed HardSPL
edit2: Thanks to shafez for being the first to think about this. Apparently i was trying it at the same time as him, so i didn't know he also posted the results, that's why i started the thread as soon as saw the fix worked.

I imagine it is the first 6.1 rom planned to become official from HTC. However, I cannot confirm or deny these allegations. Found it embedded in another thread earlier tonight just haven't had an opportunity to flash it yet.

Flashed it yesterday. Seems quite fast. Apparently does not contain d3d drivers but has a high score on graphics benchmark

how is the battery life thus far?

Too early to tell since it has been lying sleeping through the night mostly but seems quite good so far. Reception seemed quite good for the radio as well - got 3 bars on 3G where I usually get 1-2 bars in my house.

yes, but NLD is 3.29.404.0,
but the english is WWE 3.28.405.0
So, I think , that WWE is not a latest.. :-(

Qtek S200 Data Crashes!!!

i get a warning "DATA CRASHES PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SERVICE CENTER" from my qtek and it does not work with any kind of sim cards. How can solved this problem?

Does a hard reset help?
If not, try flashing a new Radio ROM (check the wiki for that).

You'll need to use an NVID ROM to do that...
Alternatively, Hard/SoftSPL your device to bypass CID checks.

i had tried the NVID ROM, flasing the rom (RUU_QtekS200_Prophet_2090724_20907106_020720_QtekWWE_Ship.exe) and same error exist.

The way to flash a ROM is equal to all of them, doesn't matter if they are 6.1 or 6.5, read the thread about the rom you choose 1st posts, and also the sticky thread

Please don't make a new thread without @ least doing some research.

...glanced through a couple of them. They all say that we need to flash the original ROMs on the phones before flashing 6.5 ROMs, to avoid the hard reset issue or something. So now, my question is, after flashing a custom ROM, is it safe enough to re-flash the original ROM?

The process of Flashing is the same as with WM6.1 just follow this lovely guide by mskip : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=433835
Flash the Hard SPL version 3.34 and when you come to choose a ROM, look at the forum and pick one that has 6.5 in the Thread Title.
You ask how the wiki fits in, the wiki has a page that contains all the Custom Kaiser ROMs.
In future, please don't start new threads for existing topics. In this case you would be best posting in the "for n00bs" thread by mskip to avoid upsetting the "locals"....
