If by notepad you mean a program for taking down notes then just click on "new" then choose "note". If you mean a physical device then its worth looking at the Seiko Smartpad 2E.
phm pcc powertoys got notepad as in the program
phm pcc powertoy is freeware
What tool are you usng to edit the registry of windows mobile 5 based smartphones (especially MDA Pro) ?
I'm using total commander - a freeware tool
It works very well on my HTC wizard (o2 xda mini S),
in addition to a free registry editor you get a free file manager that's more capeable than the build MS explorer

just my 2 cents
are you sure total commander has a registry editor ? I cant find it anywhere in the menu
Having the same trouble as ‘BitBonk’
Can’t work out how to find the ‘RegEdit’ bit on TotalCommander !
TC
click on plugins in total commander

There are several reged tools for the PPC. Please read the Registry Editor Bible ( http://www.pocketpcmag.com/blogs/menneisyys/UltimateRoundupOfRegistryEditors.asp ) for more info.

Click to collapse
this depends on the reg file version. Some are Regedit4, some regedit5-compliant only. that is, you've tried to import an incompatoble (most prolly, regedit4) version. Otherwise, the reg editor would have consumed it.
See my related bible for more info.
so what is the simplest piece of freeware SW to import to registry in windows mobile 6.1?
Anyone?
I downloaded the Kilmist Reg Editor 2.5 - double-clicked the .exe and found the 'program' under Program Files > Kilmist Registry Editor 2.5.
However, inside the folder are the following files:
-- Default.ico
-- ini468.tmp
-- Registry Editor.PPC300_2577.cab
-- Registry Editor.PPC300_4000.cab
-- Registry Editor.PPC300_10003.cab
Which .cab should I drag onto my Touch Pro and install? Or is it all three in a certain order?
Thanks for the help!
Lisa
bump to assist.
Just in case this ever comes up again:
2577 is the code for strongarm processors
4000 is the code for mips processors
10003 is the code, I think, for sh3 processors
