Guys i am an ex-sx56 user moved off to treo (600 and then 650) and am back to the wizard... I had a phone dialer tool "TAKEPHONE" in the palm world that I used to use and was very handy for phone dialing.
I had a rue setup if there is any number starting with +44 it used to use one calling card and dial the 1800# and with for me to click another button then dial the Pin and the automatically dial the number. That way I never had to change my contacts so that when i am here in the US i use the calling card and when in am there un UK i disable calling card and all the numbers are workable and no updates needed...
I am missing this utility as I travel a lot and dial international a lot… I have looked and have not found any decent tool to do the same.
I looked at the long distance dialer but did not work well with WM5.
I am willing to write some tool if I can get some tapi API in MS.net I have written a utility to make the call now I need to get it to check the state of the line and dial extra digits which I cant figure out
In WM5 I managed to partially solve the problem where I create a new contact with 1800XXXXXXXppYYYY where x is the calling card # and Y is the pin after doing this my calling card service is looking for the actual # it also allows me to fins a number but when I click it it dials another call instead of keying in the digits on the first call….
Not sure if I am expressing this clear but I need help.
I will pay for this kind of app.
I am using long distance dialer , it works ok on my HTC wizard
but I would like to have the one you talking about
Does anyone know of a prog to divert calls?
I do understand that you can set up one divert profile with the operator, but being awkward I would like to set up more than one.
Don't know if there is a utility out there to do this.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Lee
You mean as in to forward your calls? Go to Start>>Settings>>Phone>>Services Tab>>Click "Call Forwarding" then "Get Settings" Button and adjust from there.
EDIT: You want to be able to change this easily using "profiles"? A option would be to use a marcro recorder or a script editor and give each macro/script/profile its own icon, so that when you click it it does the above. I used the program MacroRecorder when I had a smarphone, it may work on our OS too, I'm not sure. You could also download MortScripts if you'd prefert to write a script.
Hi thank you for your input.
You have got the idea exactly, got a new car with a "stupid" car kit built in.
The car kit takes a sim card... never heard of bluetooth!!!!!
O2 say they don't (and never have) offered a "dual sim" option. I was hoping to switch the phone off when I got in the car.
So the next idea is to put a pay as you go sim in the car kit and diver all calls from the main number to the car kit.
I already have a divert set up when I cannot take a call, and being lazy I suppose would love a little utility that swaps the divert between the two numbers.
Probably not upto writing scripts or macro as i don't want to mess up my phone
But once again thank you for your help
Not a tool but....you may check out *# codes (aka "GSM codes"), compose the one you need and create a phonebook entry. To run the network service you may put this entry to a speed dial button and activate it manually when you enter the car. Means you run a call to this "number". That's how I forward all calls from my private phone to my company phone: in the morning: call **21*mynumber# and to switch forwarding off in the evening: call #21#. Works pretty good.

Thank you so much
PERFECT
You are welcome...
btw: you will most likely be charged for call forwarding between different providers. At least in Germany they do it.
The coolest thing for you would be T-Mobile-like "Multi-SIM". IMHO the best Multi-SIM implementation ever as you can leave both phones switched on and none of them is kicked out of the network. They just ring both and both present the same number to the far end.
It's a shame that O2 doesn't offer something like this...
Luckily O2 offer unlimited O2 to O2 calls so with luck the divert will be included.
The lady on customer support was quite useless (as per usual) didn't know if it was or wasn't
Can't use T-Mob no reception at home
Going to try and block/bar own number on the pay as you go sim so I can make outgoing calls without confusing people too much.
I blame you Germans - thought Porsche would have a bluetooth PCM - Land Rover have for about 3 years as standard!!! lol
Thank you again for all your help, hopefully a German car will be more reliable than a Land Rover
Porsche? Great! At least it will have better brakes than a Landy
There is also a program "PhoneAlarm" which can be used to divert calls. You can feed 4 or 5 numbers to which you would like your calls to be diverted. From the Today Screen Plug-In of phonealarm you just need to press and hold and you would be presented with a list of numbers to select the one you currently want the calls to be diverted to.
Regards
thanks so much. it worked on my diamond. Indian model.
I just switched from a Treo 800w to the HTC Touch Pro. The Pro has much over the 800w but not the phone application. Unless I'm wrong, you can't make conference calls and when you have another call on hold, you can't swap back and forth. I think these are 2 very important features, especially the ability to switch between 2 calls. So, am I missing something?? Or is the phone app that crummy? Are there any alternative phone apps out there?
You are kidding right!? To make a conference call you dial the first number and then press the phone hook pick up button again and dial the second number. Press the hook button again and the calls are joined. If you meant something else "Happy Halloween"
No I'm not kidding, smart guy. How the hell would I have known that since there is nothing about it in the manual from Sprint.
You didn't say anything about swapping the two calls, genius.
Not a genius. I had the same problem earlier trying to find the 3-way button and thought about it again when I saw your question. I tried it out and it worked. The swap works the same way.
i've got a fuze here so i don't know if it's any differrent but swapping calls and conference calls are real easy. When one call is in progress there's an add call button on the screen.push that to call another number and once it's connected there is a button for swap and a button for conference (among others). Couldn't be easier imo.

I think we need something like this on Sprint as well. I had to have the other person hang up so that it would go back to my other call...
I have an unlocked version of touch pro and I get the swap option in standard phone application
Dose anyone know if i can configure my DX900 to:
Question 1
Make calls and answer on SIM1 and only answer on SIM2 (lock it from makings calls)?
Question 2
If i have 2 contacts A and B, can i configure so that contacts A always use SIM 1 and contacts B always use SIM 2?
I don't know but i would like to ask you where did you buy it from and how much does it cost. Here in Bulgaria they still don't have it in stores. Probably it's best to e-mail their support if they answer.
I got it from my work, they bought it direct from E-TEN.
Don´t ask me how...

Hi,
Thanks for info.
I found a site with some screen shots and I see that you are promted to choose a SIM when you make a call or text. Can you tell me if you disable a SIM from outgoing calls then will it no longer prompt the SIM decision question?
My plan would be to put a data SIM (one out of a USB HSDPA dongle) into SIM1 and use SIM2 for all calls. It is my cunning plan to avoid the fact that mobile data is charged at such an expensive rate. Any comments?
Cheers
Review
How's the performance of E-TEN Glofiish DX900, please. I am planning to buy the unit. Thanks.
Hello, I have the DX900 from 3 weeks, and I am happy, but it still needs a better firmware, because some software issues are here, battery last for only one day or less... but we expect that the new ROM 551 or the very good roms that you make here would solve these issues... I need two sim cards for saving A LOT OF MONEY in my calls (I pay now $50 instead of $300 every month because I have two different plans for morning and afternoon in a single phone), and this the only model that I know with Windows Mobile and Dual SIM dual online (except for some chinese phones like Dubao or IGIC with a worse quality and only WM5...)
i have also question PL Rom exist for that model?
I'd like to buy this device, as far as I know there isn't any dual sim win mobile phone still available. I know there's a dual sim Android phone, Sciphone N21, but it isn't an UMTS phone.
Anyone can write a short review about DX900 and the Sciphone N21?
Thanks in advance
The DX900 has been discontinued.
It is as E-ten but it is sold as Acer DX900.
I read you have one Dx900, what do you think about it?
Acer DX900 vs Sciphone N21
Hi,
I have owned both of these phones in the last 4 weeks and can offer the following information:
N21 -
Pros: Nice looking phone, nice form factor, light, Android is awesome!, Dual sim is really nicely implemented into Android.
Cons - screen is not very responsive, screen is a rubbish resolution and non-standard so some of the Android apps don't scale properly, text input is a nightmare, only 2.5G, Bluetooth only works when wi-fi is on (weird, huh?)
DX900 -
Pros: Ok looking phone, led flash on camera, VGA screen, Windows Mobile, 3G
Cons: A little heavy, Windows Mobile, text input is a nightmare, less slick but ok dual sim integration
What I have ended up doing is sending the N21 back (still waiting for a refund) and loading WM6.5.1 onto the DX900 along with the keypad from the Touch Diamond. This makes it VERY finger friendly and almost a joy to use! I just got this set up this morning so I'll let you know if I have any nightmares (so far, the only bugs on the WM6.5.1 ROM are that the vol keys don't work and can't connect with ASync to my PC, but I'm searching for a fix on these!)
Thank you AMoosa, in the meantime i've bought a Dx900 and it should arrive soon, i hope

Hi Amosa, what WM 6.5 are you installing? I have tested a few ones and the result is very bad. There is not -I couldn't find- large number of people hacking this device.
And about the keypad, can you guide me on where find the Touch Diamond keypad that works with dx900?
Thanks a lot.
Rom DX900
Bonsoir, je recherche une rom 6.5 en Français "la dernière si possible" ?
merci
Install rom from Acer dx900 to Gsmart s1205
It is any chance to install Acer Dx 900 rom to Gsmart S1205
Hi everyone,
I've asked this same question in another forum but unfortunately did not get an answer.
Do you know of a program that is able to switch one of the phones in a dual sim windows mobile device on / off at set times?
I use my DX900 for private and work related calls. I would like to have the work SIM switch on at 8.30 in the morning and switch off at 5 in the evening.
The communication manager screen of the DX900 looks just like that of my HTC touch but it just has two phone buttons: Phone 1 and Phone 2
Both phones can be "on-line" at the same time.
If such a program does not exist is anyone out there able to program it?
Thank you all so much in advance,
Chriz
