I installed the HTC Home 6 tab plugin but only 5 tabs show and the one missing is the contacts tab, which is in the 5 tab version. Also i have the Profiles tab active as well as the standard 4 tabs from HTC

2. Use 6 Tabs with htc home :
You need to edit your registry to get our music tab back,
HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCHome
Add new string,
Tabsetting = 1,2,3,4,5,6
You can change the order of the numbers to sort the tabs how you like
1 = Clock tab
2 = Favorite People tab
3 = Weather tab
4 = Launcher tab
5 = Music tab
6 = Profiles tab
refresh the htc home to get the tabs u can do it by unchecking the today contects and then checking it and it will refresh and
people who missed the favorites home tab delete this registry key :
HKLM\Software\OEM\MASD\Quickdial
delete it an drefresh thats alll and u will get all the 6 tabs !!

The same here - no music tab.
I had it before I upgraded to WM6.1, but ever since it won't show up. The contacts tab did appear.

But at least some bugs are gone since I upgraded to 6.1
6 tabs - this trick doesn't work on 6.1 !!!
You have to download the version of HTC Home floating around TyTn2 forums without the brightness fix. Theyn you can get the 6 tabs back.

Yes!!! I got it. I used the HTC Home v 2.2.1005.722 by Schen without Brightness fix and got my music tab back.
And with this HTC Home version the HHC Home Customizer works again!

Hey ppl,
I just upgraded my Touch Cruise to WM6.1 with the official ROM from the HTC site. It installed without any problems. I've noticed that the music tab is missing from my HTC Home menu. I checked in the settings, and the music option was checked. I unchecked it, and then checked it, and still no luck. I disabled HTC Home, and then reenabled it, but to no avail.
I checked some websites that show how to adjust the tabs using a registry editor. I did this (added a new string called TabSetting and made the value 1,2,3,4,5) and HTC Home responds to it by showing all tabs except the music tab (which is tab 5). I don't know what's wrong. If I adjust the registry value (e.g. make it 1,2,3) then it shows those 3 tabs only, which means it works for all the tabs except the music tab.
When I select Today in the Settings page, I have the Appearance tab and the Items tab. On my previous ROM, I Installed the HTC Home 6 Tab plugin, and that gave me the extra tab in the Today Settings page to choose which tabs I wanna show in HTC Home. So I installed the 6-tab plugin, and tried to adjust it there. It makes changes to the registry value TabSetting, but still HTC Home does not show my music tab!
I've flashed the ROM again, I've hardreset .... but it won't work. Can anyone figure this out please?
Also, is it just me or has the SMS become slower? I like the threaded SMS idea, but for some reason when I'm typing, I have to type a lot slower than my previous ROM.
On the upside, WM6.1 seems to be quicker in doing some other things. Let's hope my HTC Home problem is not permanent ...
Edit: yes, I've been to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=396016&highlight=music+tab+htc+home and it didn't solve my problem no matter how many times I've tried. I've even followed the YouTube video about this.
Just fixed it. I found a link for the HTC Home plugin for the original ROM of the Touch Cruise, and it now shows my music tab.

I currently have a vodaphone branded touch pro, and the music tab fails to show how many songs are in a playlist, and stuck with a big advert at the top of it which is really annoying me.
Whats the best way to remove this tab and get the orginal HTC tab,
are tabs seprate modules that can be replaced, or do I need to download a new manilla, if so where from + latest version?

wow the black theme is much slower than vodafones, after testing by using the theme switcher, I think i'll stick to vodafones theme, advert is small incoviance to having to wait 10 secs to switch a tab.

is there an app or fix for the agenda's 7 days appointment expire?
would be nice to see all your appointments in the agenda.
tried downloading the update from htc itself but can't install ( i had 1.66 from the original htc site)
now i'm running on artemis hd2 (very nice btw)
but still have a 7 days expire date.

hi people
when i was using home tab 1.5 , two of my quiklinks were contacts (the htc version) and twitter (also htc). off course i removed these two from my htc slider and they still worked fine
as of home tab 1.6 thes two quiklinks dont work any more (unless you also have them on the htc sliderbar)
a tip form cookie too set the register "\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila\isshortcutenable" from 1 to 0
did not have any result with my hd2
does anybody know a way to get these two quiklinks to work without heving them in the htc slider ???

i just added Cookie 1.8.5 and i was wondering if cookieMonster or any other developer could help me with this..i was wondering if there is a .cab do have the internet tab favorites small like the quicklinks and more of them. like the first page with the globe icon and like maybe 10 favorite links and then slide down for another 20 or 25.. just food for thought.

CHT Editor allows you to back up and restore your CHT settings ....
btw nice thread hijack ....

I think this is what you are looking for. But the favorites tabs are not any smaller.. but you and have as many as you want/need and then some.
You will need a reg editor to make this change how ever. I use Resco, it is'nt free though.
46. Enable More Than 10 URL Thumbnail Shortcuts on Internet Tab
By default you only get 10 shortcuts to your favourite websites on the internet tab. Now you can have as many as you want (multiples of 2) or even less than 10 if you so wish.

Change from 10 to 12 or 14 or 16 or 18 etc etc
