Cheetah Cingular ROM
Once I have performed this update on my 750v, how will I be able to retrieve the updated versions of the Cingular ROM? This version seems to be full of annoying bugs.

So far there's no other available ROM.

yet... I hear that there will be a new ROM soon (Mid Jan).

Auto Disconnect on Treo 750
I had a piece of software for the Kaiser that made a boatload of tweaks to the registry, and it did two that I liked; one was an autodisconnect of the data (GPRS/EDGE/3G) after x number of seconds (I believe it defaulted to 600) and another that enabled the HSDPA icon for 3G.
That software did not work on my 750 because it needs Net 2.0, so I was wondering if anyone might have the settings I need to add/change for these registry entries??
I will also post this in the Kaiser forum, in hopes of an answer there. many thanks in advance for all the help!

What are the pros and cons of having a vanilla treo 750

Guys love the forum. The help is amazing.
I have a ATT branded treo 750.
What are the pros and cons of unbranding my phone and making it vanilla?
What exactally will I lose if I unbrand the phone?
I keep all my mail on my owa server in the basement so the phone is virutally empty.

i Have Unbranded Unlocked Treo 750 and instaled WM6 ATT leaked version and delited evrything from Ext_Rom making it vanila
Pros:
1) no anoying ATT logos,
2) i bit more space becouse 2 or 3 apps are not instaled and pictures of ATT mising
3) Windows Live mesenger will be there if u make it Vanila
Cons:
1)posible nostalgia on ATT logos
2)ATT proxy have to be configured manualy if on ATT network
3)Some apps from ATT mising (some online video player or somthing)

WM6 -Is it possible to use a pocket pc as a bluetooth modem for another pocket pc?

I would like to use my MDA vario iii as a bluetooth modem to access the internet from my Ameo (htc Athena). Is this possible?
They are both running stock t-mobile WM6 ROMs. I knew how to do this in WM5 using Dial up networking, but have since upgraded the Ameo to WM6 and can't find a way.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have intalled the WM6_BT_DUN.cab on both phones but nothing seems to have changed. I have read the article but couldn't figure out how to actually implement it. Could you let me know how to set the connection up please.

Well, then, look around for a cooked ROM that also has DUN. I'm not sure whether there are any - hopefully there is.

treo 800w question

I have followed all of the guides here with the correct cab installs. but for some reason I can not get the VoIP service on my phone and I am sick of Fring and not beong able to use my normal ear piece.
so my question is do I need to do something else to get the Treo 800w to eork with wm 6.1 for internet calling or can I just use a ROM. and if I can use a ROM. which one should I use as I am not fimiliar with ROM's at all.

There was a widget on the Excalibur 6.1 app that allowed programming favorite numbers. It actually allowed more than just the 5 numbers. It was programmed through Chome. I noticed on 6.5 it had the program as well but I could not get it to work on the home screen.
Is there something similar for 6.1?
