Hi there,
----------------------
Well, after searching a little more on the Web I found it, and would like to share the method with you (since I couldn't find it here).
You need to create the ClearType key unde HKLM\System\GDI and under it create a new DWORD named Quality with a value of 4 (some sites say to use 1, I didn't try it). Reboot and voila, ClearType for you. It works under WM5 and WM6.
To disable it again just remove the ClearType key.
I Hope it helps.

I managed to change the system font from the Nina (wich I don't like) to Segue UI, but I cannot find an option or registry key that allow me to enable Cleartype.
It works perfectly inside applications that manage this (mobipocket reader for example) but not in the User Interface and other applications.
Thanks agains,

Hi everybody.
i am a new user of WM and i would love to permanently delete the not-so-useful "useful icons under the calendar as they ruin the look of my screen. However, the cab file i found on this forum didn't really work on my phone.
And as far as i see in this forum. i can also edit it in Registry Editor, but my stupid question is that how i can get to "Registry" ???
Please help. Thanks a lot.
You have to install a registry editor, WM does not come with one. Try this thread or try searching.

Hi, i'm sorry to ask such a noob question, but it seems that i'm missing a lot of goodies when it comes to editing registry. I have edited very few registry lines to add a thing or two, but i've read in various posts that there's a lot of good things to do in the registry field, and i haven't figured out yet what are the best things to do. I even saw somewhere that if you don't have a registry editor then you only have half WinMo.
Can someone post a list of the best registry edits?
Thanks in advance.
Please remember ... changing the Registry can harm your device and you will end up in a Hardreset!
But beside of this warning
You're right. Changings in the Registry can release the real potential of you device.
Try "TSALTAs Magic Tweak". A cab that's full of registry tweaks.
As i'm posting this from my HD i can't give you the link to the Thread.
Just search for it.
best regards

I recently purchased a htc snap S523, i have the same question that a lot of people have asked, re LED notification time out. I understand changing some of the values in the registry files may fix this, but the big question is, how do you access the registry files to make those changes.
I ve searched the net trying to find registry editing software, but no good, i dont mind if i have to pay for it but can someone please recommend a trusting website?

Thank you,

Hello All,
I'm a noob here so please don't shout at me if this has already been answered.
I have a chinese double DIN sat-nav, DVD, bluetooth, etc unit made by STT-TEC. I put a
file PNADesktop.exe on my SDMMC card and I can get to the Control Panel, which is all
in Chinese. I try to change the language in the regional and language settings window but
it just returns to default. I have been reading about the registry being in permanent memory,
and some mention of a hive registry, which I don't understand Please can you tell me if
it's possible to make this change permanently, either by writing to the registry somehow, or
a script which runs at start-up ? Or something? Thanks for your paitience,
Dave.
