Bluetooth and TCPMP - General Topics

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone can answer this for me before I buy one.
I bought a MOTO S9 stereo headset which works great with MP3s but when watching videos on TCPMP it is choppy due to the intensive processing power required.
If I bought a regular Bluetooth headset(not stereo-just in one ear) will videos play smooth on TCPMP?
I hope this make sense.
Thanks.

i doubt it

Different bluetooth protocol: it wouldn't play anything at all!
You can try tweaking with Schapp's Advanced Configuration Tool or installing the Widcomm bluetooth stack.

So is there absolutely no way to watch videos with my Moto S9 with no choppyness? Is there any types of settings I can change to make this work?

himalaya a2dp ht820 CSR Cambridge Silicon Radio stack

Hi!
first, i'm sorry for my faulty english, but who cares...
lets try to sort things out, because some topics are really messed up
my challenge on the search for a full featured sw/hm setup for stereo music, headset, handsfree, voice command now lasts for about 2 weeks, and i'm still not satisfied . So i will post my impressions and problems here, perhaps we will find a satisfying solution
my hardware:
himalaya (xda II O2)
ROM 1.72.01.GER wm2003
RADIO 1.17.00
ht820 motorola headset
tweaks:
CSR Bt see (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33532&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=a2dp)
what i got done until now:
- a2dp profile works great, brilliant playback in my ht820
- 2 sec connection time on start, i can live with that
- no skips during playback, i can live with that too
- incoming call during playback: no problem ansering by pressing multifunction button on ht820, headset profile is activating
bad things:
- only functions with wmp, i can live with that
- doesn't resume playback after call, well i don't like that
- no guess how to enable ms voice command over ht820, thats sad
- playback buttons don't function, sad too...
so if you're a owner of a Himalaya (xda2, xdaII, mda2, don't know all it's names ) device post your comments, achievments, answers...
for you whe are annoyed of all the steps to enable bt stream music to headset, i wrote a mortscript to be placed on today screen to toggle ht820 on/off, i hope it may be useful, be aware you need SwichIt by Buzz_Lightyear (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=17476&highlight=switchit) installed for proper functionality. you may have to edit the mortscript to fullfill your needs (paths,....) with an editor like notepad .
ok thats all for now from me, look forward to some life on this topic

yes, wmp is not that loud, thats true
i think it's pocketplayers preamp, perhaps there's some plugin for wmp , too, but i've never seen anything like that
can you use MS voice command with wm2005 and is it possible to use the headset for it?
ooo i havent been playing around with voice command yet. post the prog here, i'll try it out. or the link to it.

i guess its a beginning to solve the volume issue.
here you can download a demo of voice command, its one of MS produkts, that really functions , well i like it.

I just installed a wm2005 image http://buzzdev.net/component/option,com_simpleboard/Itemid,59/func,view/id,14533/catid,26/ + crb stack
next previous buttons on ht820 function now but pause play button does not...
it also does not resume music after call, did you manage to solve those things?
i didnt install that rom on mine, but a previous one b4 that. giodata rom. everything works for me on windows media. jus that its not loud enough so not useful for me when on da bus. i use pocket player now when on da bus. i think itech blueband is louder but lack the music control. so u are saying that the 2.01 rom dont work fully?? im thinkin if i shoul flash to that. btw is windows media now louder after u use this rom?? compare it with pocket player for me. im thinking to upgrade to 2.01 or not.
VVGEO, you are the master of all things wicked and PHAT! I've been trying to get my bluetooth headphones working for 4 months! It works with excellent audio quality now! Thankyou for posting this.

Polaris as a media player

Hi. I am considering swapping my (t)rusty XDA IIi for an Orbit 2 but was hoping someone could answer a question I have.
I would like to get a big juicy SD card to store say 6-8 GB of music etc. How good is the Music playing software supplied? I presume there are other ones you can install if the built-in ones aren't up to it.
More importantly though, is it possible to completely disable the touch screen while still playing music? I'd want to start off a playlist and then drop it in my pocket. I cannot do this with my IIi because the touch screen is always active while playing.
Cheers,
Paul

You can listen to the HTC Audio player or WMedia and switch off the phone. The music still plays. There area also applications like s2U floating around that also lock the screen from touch. I currently have the 4GB microSDHC and it is spacious.
Thanks Raskell - I'm pleased to hear that.
On the subject of music files, can you confirm that the built-in players can handle AAC+ ? I'm sure I saw this mentioned on a site somewhere.
Cheers,
Paul
I would like to know as well. Quite handy to use this phone as a MP3 too saves me from buying an iPod
Ycan also use this product i use it with artemis and is great for music and radio with the internal antenna
i will use it when i have my cruise also.
I just downloaded an AAC+ file. It played in WMP as a defauylt without a problem.

Bluetooth A2DP annoying problem with WMP/TF3D & S2P

Hi all,
I have an O2 stereo BT headset which is 1 year old. I used it with my prophet previously just fine with S2P. No problems when I press play etc.
Since using it on my Touch Pro, when I press play on it, both WMP/tf3d player would play simulatneously. I have to stop s2p. It is annoying to say the least. I would like to continue to use S2P than wmp/tf3d.
How come I'm having this conflict & what to do about it?
Thanks
Posted it here because I thought it may be a general question rather than a problem with S2P.
I have the same problem...
I am having the same problems and from the research it looks like the profile for the blue tooth is set to always call up Window Media. I have been using Mort Player with no issues on an older model S9 motorola stereo headset. Now with the new one no go!!! always calls up Windows Media.
I have tried different media players - looks like there was a version of pocket player 4 that bypassed this issue and cut off Windows media player. Unfortunately it jsut doesn't work for my Touch Pro 6.1 stock rom.
i am thinking if anyone out there can make this fix available it must be the XDA people...
Anyone have suggestions, hack, new profile that can fix this annoying issue??? Please???
i thought no body else had this issue but i'm sure other people have it as well.
thanks for the research. tried looking in the registry for a2dp profiles and wmp, but no luck.

Question for a Fuze/Rapheal user about vid playback

I did some digging on this subject, couldn't really find a definite answer on the subject. I currently own a tilt, and am considering purchasing a fuze, since with the announcement of the tilt 2, they are dropping in price. But my concern is power! You might know, that the Tilt has some video driver issues, as in can't play h.264/mp4's too well, i.e. any video podcasts i download. I'm also hoping to get emulators running smoothly with sound, but thats not too important. So my question is this, is this issue resolved on the Fuze? I noticed a thread stickied discussing touch pro performance, but nothing really says "it's fixed". Saw a few posts saying the drivers are still crap though. Thanks for any help! (and sorry if it's already posted, and i just couldn't find it)
Fixed - no!
Watchable - yes, depending on the files you're starting with of course.
Being VGA (tilt is qvga) everything on the screen looks much better and coreplayer does make most things play quite well.
Basically I have found that you can play any format video on this device very smoothly, AS LONG as it doesnt use the dolby AC3 Codec for audio as coreplayer wont play this and you need to revert to the older, non hardware supporting TCMP. Luckily this means about 5% of my media
im hsving problems with the coreplayer key
HTC Album/full screen player plays .mp4's pretty well. Unfortunately, it has a sucky UI (rather, it doesn't have an interface).
you can use newer version of full screen player and htc album which have better interface controls. i would still spring for core player. plays my divx videos perfectly, full visual framerate and matching audio. much better than divxplayer.
Thanks for the replies you guys! So, just to clarify, if I bought a fuze, and downloaded any random video podcast, which is usually mp4, 640x480, I wouldn't be disappointed?

[Q] Audio lag over bluetooth

I have read all the other threads about this...but wanted to bring this up on out RAZR HD forum.
The phone is great so far... It has been a whole new android experience for me since the Xperia Play ICS update cancellation, but something I really miss from my Xperia is using my bluetooth headset for movies and gaming...
On this phone (XT925) the lag over bluetooth is annoying... and the fact that It came without any wired headset and that I can't use my Samsung Jet or Xperia Play handsfree headsets because the phone does not recognize them, make it even worse
So far I noticed the problem on 3rd party apps, because the lag is present on all games and downloaded video players (like Mobo), If I use the Stock video or audio player the lag disappears completely... too bad the stock player doesnt allow subtitles via SRT files...
Gaming is awful with the Lag... but I cant live without the sound anyway...
I'm using a Sony Ericsson MW600 Bluetooth headset with my RAZR HD... and I love this little device, I'm also concerned why It was able to fully work on my previous phone (Xperia Play, rooted GB 2.3.4) and not on a more advanced OS version.
Is there any workaround for this? I don't know maybe a way to make the stock player read ther SRT subtitles files or to make thr mobo player compesate the LAG?
Thanks for your help
Aside from trying to re-pair, I'm not sure if there's anything you can do.
The bright side is that we should be getting the JB update soon. With that will surely come new bluetooth binaries. Hopefully, it makes things better for you.
