Continuos vibration..draining battery

I am using Dutty's 6.1 hybrid Rom. But a major problem is with the vibration. I have selected Vibrate and ring and then the phone vibrates continiously with the ringtone. When it was with the Stock rom the phone didn't vibrate constantly. This is eating a lots of battery ...Pls pls find some way to STOP this.
BTW- Pls don't say that i have to select vibrate then ring option.
When you have it set to vibrate and ring please look at and post the contents of the following registry key:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0
list all values and data
thx
Also make sure you understand the expected behavior:
Vibrate AND ring will mean it will play the ringtone and vibrate all through the ring tone.
Vibrate THEN ring will mean it will vibrate once for a few seconds then play the ringtone.
Which one have you selected and explain what you think it is doing that is not normal....
I think he may be talking about its a constant vibrate rather than a pulsing vibrate, mine does the same thing. I'll get those values here in a minute.
My kaiser sometimes won't stop vibrating after receiving an email(not on sms).
This started to happen after installing no thrills. When i press the power button until the dialog to shutdown appears, and press no the vibrations stop. The only real annoyance is when there is an email in the middle of the night.

Hi,
Maybe this can help:
check reg: HCU - ControlPanel - sounds - RingTone0 - Script
a = activate
V = Vibrate
P = play sound
w= wait
r= repeat
maybe you have something like: avr
You should have something like: av2pw2r
This way you tell the device to activate, then vibrate, then play ringtone, then wait for 2 seconds, the repeat the instruction...
cheers

Well let me tell you something...If you can figure out what is causing it and make it an option, I think HTC will get a whole new fan base of twenty something women!!!
I can see the ad now.... "Hey Ladies, HTC Tilt, not only looks good, but feels great in your pocket!!!!!"

I get this too, but it doesn't happen with every email. I find just hitting the start button stops it, but if I'm not near the phone, it's really annoying and drains the battery.
I'm using Dutty's 19209 rom. Any ideas?

That means:
Vibrate(v) continuously(0) and play ringtone(p) for 3 seconds (w3) then repeat(r).
If you don't want continuous vibration, use something like:
av3pw3r
Vibrate(v) 3 seconds (3) and play ringtone(p) for 5 seconds (w5) then repeat(r).
well then....seems as if i have passed on my little problem to you fine people. i've been complain of this for months now. I have hunted dutty down for many hours to fix this but no luck. from what i can tell the issue has to do with sound.
if you notice it only happens when the phone is promoted to play sound...phone call....text...or email. Sometimes (depending on the radio) if you let it sit for a few seconds (we're talking 40 seconds or so) you'll notice the last half secants of the sound will play, then the vibration will stop. Other times or most of the time, the last bit of the sound does not play, so the phone continues to vibrate.
to tell the truth i've been way to lazy to find out what it is that stops he last bit of sound from playing, but trust me when i tell youz...thats the issue.
my quick fix is to FORCE it to play sound. How? just hit the red phone button. That little beep it makes is all you need. once you hit the end button the vibrating is done. it hasn't happen too many times with the newer builds...but it still happens. its a bug i just accepted.

You sure you GF didn't purposely sabotage you device...buzzzzzzz, ohh baby! ;Dirty_Old_Man_Smiley)
this bug can be remove by the rom builder. so i am requesting mr.dutty to solve this problem. hope you understood what we are saying. we just need pulse vibration rather than the constant vibration like the original htc rom.
Thanks.
Solved

If you haven't applied the reg hack, the question clearly was not directed to you. So let me put that again: Can someone who applied the reg hack in post #10 and is not trying to play the smart### confirm to me if it works on his/her device?
In the meantime: I have tried and put av1pw3r (meaning, according to post #10, that the vibration would last 1 second). I sofreset immediately after and confirmed that the hack sticked.
But got the continuous vibration at least once after that. I'm on Dutty's WM6.1 Hybrid v2 5.2.19716/5.2.19700 with the cube.
I have learnt from experience that I could make the vibration stop if I started a call...
I had this problem when I flashed a ROM and kept the older radio to see how it would work. When I updated the radio it went away. Try changing radios it might work for you.

Strange Issue Dr. Gonzo's ROM

Hi !!
I updated to Dr. Gonzo's ROM a couple of weeks ago... till about yesterday everything was working fine.... but suddenly for no reason the Phone has started Vibrating as in Notify when there is a missed call or an unread message...
I liked this feature a lot but have gone thru' every message.. every call and cant find anything that could be triggering this Vibration Alert...
I have disabled it for the moment... but as it is a very useful feature for me I would be obliged if anyone can give me the solution to this issue...
I want to continue to use this feature and not disable it.
thanks
same problem here mate! I have disable the notification script and now I have discovered my phone doesnt vibrate anymore
I had the exact same problem a few weeks back.. a quick look through the notify script gave me a hint.
Use a registry editor on the phone and Check the Notify DWORD in HKLM->System->State->Shell and set it to 0 if it's not
Rebooted my Vox and re-enabled the script and it stopped the constant vibrating, script worked like normal again.
Worked for me.. Give it a try..

Flashed Gonzo 6.1 - Alarm problem

Hi,
I flashed successfully to Dr Gonzo's 6.1 for vox and its great!! But...
One major issue I have is the alarm clock that doesnt work properly for me. The clock is fine as far as I can tell but when I set the alarm, it goes off at a completely different time!!
If I set the first at 7:20am and the second at 7:40am, the alarms will ring at 7:10am and 7:55am, for example. It doesnt ring at the allocated times!!
Anyone have this problem or does someone know how to fix this important feature??
Thanks!!
Maybe a hard reset/reflash? Usually helps for problems like this.
If this isn't a solution for you then i don't know either.
Good luck
oh dear, its getting more strange as well.
Last night I cancelled my alarms, but both still went off at 7:xx am!!!
Does someone have an alternative to hard-resetting??
I installed SmartToolKit on my device btw, would this make a difference??
Thanks again
SmartToolKit has it's own alarm schedules, did you check (disable) those too?

How do I disable this?? I tried looking for it under the start menu and its own control panel, but cant find smarttoolkit's own alarms.
Any help appreciated!
Start -> My Schedules (a few lines above Control Panel)
its got nothing in the schedules window.
ANY other ideas??
i had the same problem with this rom n fixed it by installing another rom
its hard to believe the only solution to this is to install a new ROM!!! Have you tried to re-flash the device??
(Alarms work fine without smarttookkit loaded btw - doesnt that mean theres something wrong with smarttoolkit instead??)

1 problem

Hellow mates,I have SE Xperia for 2 weeks. After the first week everything was ok,but now i have 1 problem. After i dont use the phone , he is automatically switching to sleep mode(like all Xperia i think) and i push the turning on button (to switch it in work mode) like always, but thoose days when i push the turning on button my phone is starting. It seems he is turning off by himself.I tryed to change the ROM,but i have the same problem with the new ROM.Im using Xperio rom without manila. I searched in the Options menu and found this " Turn off device after 1min is the devise is not in use or something like this and i remove it,but i have the same problem. Can this be fixed somehow ?
PS: Sorry for my English
PS2: Dont blame me,because im new
A bad contact with the battery perhaps? Take out the battery and check if there is dust/something on the golden contacts.
No one blames you .
Thanks for the answert Liveen,i`ll try and post the results.
UPDATE: it seems like the problem is gone for now ^^ I removed some things i Options menu :]
Good to hear .
Excuse me Livven can you give me one an advice.I have Xperio Rom , but is "low-ing" my battery verry fast (half or 1 day). Sometold me to use RMS without manila, but i am wondering what ROM to put for my battery (to recharge it not so many times like twice a day :s). Is manila low-ing battery faster,or no.And if i put manila will my X1 be slower then before :?

i think you are facing this problem bcz you dint remove the screen guard that came with the phone just remove it and your problem will be solved
Since I'm not facing any issues at all.
I think the themes are causing the problem, you might be using a theme that changes the incoming phone thingy UI.
Try setting the default theme and test and report here
Thanks for reply...
My problem is whenever some one calling me m not able to see it, only ringtone ringing only .. But could not pickup screen apper.. Only Lock screen and light turn on.
