2.01 has too much russian elements on it, and it doesnt even have MS Office. 2.03 is much much better.

i don't think neither of you are right!!
a ROM (and don't forget that you get it for FREE) , should be perfect with all the standrad application installed on it.
i don't think that anybody really cares if you do have resco explorer or not , but office is something that you MUST have.
and not 2.01 or 2.03 qualiffies for good ROM's - i'll stick with my 113 until someone will come up with a good 100% working ROM.
so , my advise:
keep enjoying or not what you received for free,
And keep your thoughts to yourself

Lol Official roms are always better. But the thing is this thread talks about custom firmware, and which of them is better, so official roms do not count, so your post kind of missed that point. But i agree with you that in so far as stability and functionality is the concern, id go for official roms. But since no news about any ROM upgrades are coming for the magician, (face it its an abandoned device its reality), ill embrace any new roms, half baked or not with open arms. And as far as my comments go with custom firmware, ill still say 2.03 TX is better than 2.01 period.

One more thread on the same ROM with no credit whatsoever attributed to the original ROM creator !! Somehow, I feel the IQ of Magician owners is slowly going down.

So ok, could someone explain to someone who's not quite managed to work all this out.. :\
Based on what I read in these forums, I downloaded and installed the 2.03 ROM (looked like the most recently released from what I could see?), but I expected it to have what's listed for 2.01, just a more international version? (thought maybe a folder was supposed to show up on the SD card with cabs of the listed apps in?). Am I right in thinking 2.03 has fewer pre-installed goodies?
Anyway, I like 2.03 - nice and clean install and I like the smaller fonts etc, but is there any way to add on the stuff listed in the post here translated from the russian site?
While I'm here/seem to be knowledgeable/opinionated people about the place... I might as well add/ask: did I pick the right ROM? Any other recent ones out there maybe I should have considered?

Could you somehow make the HTC Home plugin (http://www.smartphone-freeware.com/download-htc-home-plugin-smartphone.html) available for mpx200? It needs to be changed to 176X220 i think.

i tried it several times now and it looks like it doesn't work at least for me. It always stucks after I flashed the two files and made the HR in the blank screen and nothing happens (even after waiting more than 20 minutes!)

I've tried this rom to my MPx200, and I found that this is the most stable WM6 rom for MPx.
Other roms have problems on the Pocket Outlook, and they need third party software to send SMS. This one doesn't need it. Altough I can't send SMS directly by pressing the left soft ke (send), I can use the option 'send' from the right soft key..
a better one...

great rom.but i have a problem with the compact framework that i already had with wm5 proffessional rom.impossible to run nscontactbackup.the program will ask for a newer version of the framework.tryed to install the 2.0 one but it failed asking me to uninstall first the previous version.since this is automatically installed with the rom i dont know what to do.do anyone have an idea?

i would like also to know how to integrate the vpn and dial up modem settings in start->settings->connections in order to configure my internet connection.I never been able to configure an internet connection on that phone using my operator wap settings

Is this correct? You guys managed to port WM6 to one of the FIRST WM Smartphones out there? I'm curious, how old a MPx200 device would be old now? Like 4 years or so? I'm wondering that the hardware is still working, this is quite a long lifetime for such a device. Sorry for offtop, but I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the title of this thread.

You can't change volume during a phonecall with the scroll wheel if this is in. Very anoying bug!
Also a question to you... did you manage to fix the Touch keyboard.
I mean, does the hardware keyboard suggest words when typing?

Good points! the large titlebar will be an optional addon for the user to install. I am currently working on a fix for the keboard as well... there HAS to be someway to fix it.
But in the meantime, i am taking a break until this evening. I am exhausted, and it is too pretty to be inside!. I need some fresh air haha..... ill talk to everyone tonight.

Nice & quick ROM. Few problems though...
1. battery drains quickly
2. serious mem leak
3. threaded sms is fine, except for the one on top - can see the latest received or send message in preveiw, but thread seems to be empty?!

That sounds great!
After flashing, battery drained in 20 minutes from 90 percent to 69 percent. No Wifi, GPRS, or other battery-drainers. Just configuring after installation. Will see the next few days, maybe it's getting better.

v50 had good battery lifetime and no bugs of what i've seen. i've just flashed v51, i'll see how it works

Can u check if selecting multiple messages in Messaging is fixed in v51?
You can't select multiple messages in v49, so I didn't bother with v50. And also the left softkey in Messaging defaults to Reply, I like Delete better.

Used the Blue Elves Rom for the last 5 weeks, but did not like the LG menu and missed some other minor things.
Updated to V50 yesterday and love it
Have the same "issue's" as @cid, can't select multiple items and left softbutton is delete.
Pwr consumption is oké, used 18% during the night, GPRS on and email check every 30 min.
Looking forward to V51

Hi Pham. Can you guide me how did you get the multiple selection working in this ROM? I have a source and I ported last night but got back since I could not do multi selection. Earlier I used to replace the tmail.exe from 19591 builds

a bug in v51, don't think this was in v50. i recieve 5 messages from someone Name (5) and when i enter to read the messages, the screen is blank, maybe the text is in white or something i don't know. anybody having some problem?

Hows the speed though? Thats the big issue for me!!! The Manilla ROMs ive used have been prone to random pauses that can sometime last a second or 2 and sometime up to 10 seconds...
Any weird experiences like that?

I noticed the same thing with the manilla.
Speed seems to be fine, stability as well.
like i said it may take a bit to get use to some of the icons.
Also, I am noticing that i am having a problem connecting to the gprs network.
any help no that would be appreciated.

i dont get it....
when i first read this i thought u mean it uses an HTC home theme that resembles manilla LOL...

i believe it does support landscape.
No connection to MEdia Net - Anyone know of how to do that.. i tried setting my connection to wap.cingular but no luck so far.

A weather and email tab would be nice. The rom shows speed has speed and stability so far.
The GPS would be better if removable (Not all of us like tomtom).

-- Problem was fixed...if you are having the same problem go to you connections tab - > advanced -> make sure the drop down is set for my ISP that will set email / internet

smooth so far, works faster than the manillla roms. i'm getting certificate untrusted error in making a few prrogs work. anyone know how to correct this?
