The att one on the left is the current one I have which is the closest thing but very hard to use while driving and running around, which I got from PhilD41
I just changed the all the buttons to invert when they are pressed down where his only inverted the number and you couldn't see it under your finger while pressing it. If someone can just create one I can skin it myself, I just need a base to put them on. Thanks.
If anyone wants mine Ive attached it, to install just extract to windows directory.

Did I post this int the wrong place or does nobody else need this?

It would be very nice, but:
1. I think that Development and Hacking is the right forum.
2. I'm not sure that its possible

I wanted to post there but the description says
Everything to do with software development for the phones. Please refrain from posting unless you're a software developer or hardcore techie. Postings from others will be moved.

Should i post there anyway?

Can we get a Tabbed Menu?

Hey i posted this in another forum, but want desperately for TMobile or a dev to see this!
I hate that all of my apps,games and settings are under one menu! I think Google should of included a tabbed menu instead of just clustering everything under the same menu.
I used PhotoShop to show exactly what the Menu should of been before release...But since it wasn't i am hoping Google picks up on this and maybe adds it to the Q1 2009 update, or one of the super devs from XDA can figure out how to do this!
Thanks for looking!

definitely. you should go post that in the android open source project, you might get heard by one of the actual google dev's
Great post and idea, would love to see this menu style on g1.
You can create folders and put anything you want in them on any of your 3 desktop screens.
^^Thats what I did for the time being...though the menu having folder or tab options would be even better. Good thinkin

ontouch slideout buttons

I want to provide buttons in my app that appear/disappear near the
bottom of the screen on touch near the bottom similar to how the
browser zoom magnifying glasses appear and disappear.
Is there an api to do this?
TIA

Since he's trying to develop something, wouldn't this be the spot?
He's not asking for help or an opinion or how to "use" an application. He's asking about an API/intent... I think that's development. Especially since I can't answer the question.

EDIT: Misunderstood the post, my bad.
What?
If questions about the API and development do not belong in the development section where do they go? What are the rules for something qualifying to be in development? Being new to android development I'd like to know before I post in the wrong place.
You may want to contact the Dev of the Steel web browser that is in the Android Market, he has implemented a simillar and I think more elegant solution in his browser interface. There website is http://www.kolbysoft.com

[Help!] Can someone tell me what program/ect this is? [Pictures]

Sorry, I just had no idea how I would search for this, and I didn't want to do an oftopic post in the thread, but the start menu and such. What program is that? Where can I find it, or a download for it?

Stupid Question

Sorry Guys for this (stupid) question,
i've made some applications with ed's sense interface and now i want to make some icons for it. My current attempts look pretty bad

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I've made an *.icon File with 256*256 pixels and assembeld it with my project.
It would be very nice if somebody could give me some Icontemplate (the grey rounded box in the background of many icons), and tell me the best practice for making own icons.
Well i think you may want to try in some photoshop/icons related forums or boards. Search on internet, there are severals, and many will reply to your questions and may help you.
This is a development forum, and not sure if you may get much input from any members.
Not to metion I would say this is posted int the incorrect section...thread moved to Q & A

[MOD]Boot screens (first screen at start)

Hi everybody,
I finally wanted to post a little contribution to this forum i made with some pictures found on the internet, so the pictures aren't mine and all due credits are for the creators of these images, which i unfortunately can't mention 'cuz i can't find them anymore, please contact me if you know who it is.
So, if you're like me and you get rid of this ugly htc screen at boot:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
then this post could be for you.
it's my very first "contribution" so i hope you'l enjoy and if so, send me a file you want to have as very first screen and i'll try to make you smile!
To use this you need to have HSPL on your phone!! and then just flash it as any other rom or radio with the included customruu.
Enjoy!
NOTE: as already said, i'm not the author of this image, i found it on the internet.
EDIT: sorry for the little image, but i had to slow it because formu didn't accept it, it was too big...
