I have had problems with various ROMs I have tried with the Radio From Hell, and thought it would be helpful to have a thread dedicated to the ROMs that work well with this radio. (Otherwise I would never have dared to add a new thread on here - some of ya'll are .... somewhat vicious when it comes to useless threads....)
My experience so far:
Dutty's ROMs both the April 29th and the April 16th both worked well enough with the exception of the keyboard. Tried to use the Tilt Keyboard fix, did not work, but I have seen a new version lurking around the board..
The original AT&T ROM that was possessed by this radio - once you delete all of the bloatware and use KaiserTweak to increase the touchscreen sensitivity it is acceptable, but not exactly wonderful....
What luck have the rest of you had?

You should be fine with any ROM based on the 19209 build, as this is the one the Radio came with. For example, I've been told my ROM works fine with this Radio - but I hope you'll forgive me not wanting to flash the Radio to try it!!

yes nobody will blame you for that and that's right your room is working fine with this hell by the way your last room is awsum i have to greet you you have done a great work i loved it so far the only reason i change it because i need htc home and i tried two or three versions but they weren't stable enough but i really liked the collection you made in this room

I just saw the new ROM and was wondering if anyone knows of any difference between RUU_Kaiser_ATT_WWE_1.60.502.3_radio_sign_22.45.88.07_1.27.14.09_Ship and the one I am currently using, RUU_Kaiser_HTC_WWE_1.56.405.5_radio_sign_22.45.88.07_1.27.12.11_Ship?
I notice the radio has been upgraded and not sure what else. Does the ROM contain all the AT&Tware?
Did a search for this ROM and couldn't find any info. Using AT&T Tilt.

Is this the latest rom and has the Radio issue been fixed?
The only "issue" with this Radio is that it relies on new drivers that are only found in this At&t ROM. If you use this radio with any other ROM you will not have any sound.
So the radio works perfectly fine, as long as it is used with this ROM.

I have a Magic with orig. 1.5 ROM and I want to use Google Nav.
I just want a 1.6 ROM where everything works (Camera, BT, GPS etz) as in my original.
I read this forums a alot but Im a litle confused, in almost every rom there is someone saying he has problem with this and with that. Dont want no Betas or WIP ROMS, just a straight, working 1.6. If there is any.

Sorry but if you want stable, fast, you need Amon_RA's ROM.
Cyanogen Roms rocks but this one is more trouble free

Not to sound like a smartass, but don't forget that there will ALWAYS be people having problems with this or that and every ROM, including the official ones, is essentialy just a work in progress.

Donut with exchange does that exist for magic?
I allow myself to follow up on the request in this thread. I have searched a bit around - what I am looking for is a donut for magic 32A with exchange abilities. I need corporate mail as well as calendar. Does that exist - do I overlook something? I want to go beyond 1.5 because of the ability of using new programs. I could wait for Eclair, but it seems not to be near stability at the moment, and maybe the problem with camera will not be solved? I don't need sense..
which hero rom is the fastest and has the most features working on 32A old radio?

CursorSense I believe but take note it only works for the new radio.

Search for "Case_" . He did an awesome HERO Rom for the old Radio. I used it for a long time before swithing over to Cursordroids. IMHO the best for 32A

cursorsense would be best to use, you should do the radio/spl upgrade, i used myhero before but switching was really worth it, runs much better now than with myhero...
just follow cursordroids radio upgrade, he has a thread with it, works easy

Just so we're clear, I have simply collected some links to help people use the CM6 nightly builds. I had NO part in the creation of this software and I take no credit for it. No one asked me to collect this information, and if anyone has a problem with it being available they can PM me and I'll remove it.
All of this information is present throughout this Cyanogenmod forum thread. I've just brought it together to make sense of it.
NIGHTLY BUILDS ARE PRE-TEST BUILDS AND ARE NOT GUARANTEED TO DO ANYTHING AT ALL, I NOR THE CYANOGENMOD TEAM ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING YOU DO WITH THIS INFO! THIS IS *ONLY* FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO TRY AN INCOMPLETE AND UNSTABLE CM6 FROYO ROM.
This is for Dream/Sapphire (Magic) and Old Radio ONLY. Don't flash this sort of thing unless you really know what you're doing.
Since I am just collating the information I probably won't be able to help you troubleshoot. I have flashed the latest nightly myself and it runs, but it's very unstable.
Anyway, long waiver done, here's the info:
The nightly builds can be found here. You'll probably want the latest .zip. These builds are created by the CyanogenMod team, if you want up-to-the-minute news I'd suggest following Cyanogen, Wesgarner, ChrisSoyars, and Koush on twitter.
Early 32A port kernels can be found here. You'll want the .zip that corrosponds to the nightly build you downloaded. These are being developed by bcrook (aka 'bcrook88' on Twitter)
Google Apps can be flashed from this. Not sure where they're from or who made them available. It flashed fine for me, but GMaps FCs whenever it's opened, very unstable. This version of google apps has also been suggested as more complete and better, but I haven't tried it myself.
Very much OT, but are you actually running the SPL 1.76.2007 together with the old radio, as your sig seems to indicate?
I think by old radio, he means the one that comes with dangerSPL, the one ripped from the engineering Magics? (i'm not sure where it came from) rather than that new one that someone found in an HTC rom, and everyone flashed.

I haven't spent much time with it yet, but 3G works. I would imagine Wifi, GPS and Camera are the usual culprits to be broken, but I haven't tried them yet. You can always check the check-ins and bug tracker that the Cyanogenmod team uses to see what they're working on.

Main known issues with nightly builds include GPS/Maps FC, camera and video broken, voice input FC..But speed is insane for pre-test build..Can't wait for CM6
I have a quick question, and it may seem dumb. But im kinda stuck.
I understand how to update the spl to what is required, but where can i get the radio 3.22.23.18 ? i cant seem to find it anywhere and thats the only problem im having.
i can load up this rom and its great, i just dont get a signal lol.

Couple more things, u can actually flash pershoots 32a .34 kernels on top of this and they run fine. Also if frf83-mdpi apps are giving users issues, ive ported frf91 gapps to mdpi and so far havent heard complaints and im running it as well so it shud b gud.

I bought a used HTC Touch Pro and ever time when i turn on the Phone there is a picture with text and there stand TPC Elite Rom Series and after a while in the right corner there come up three Letter D, R, G and next to the letters there aer some numbers they look like a version number and now is my question is this original or not ?

Not original, that is a custom rom.
do a search for: TPC Elite ROM
Is your question for the Unit itself or for the TOM ?
If the ROM, it is already a custom ROM
It seems that you have a custom ROM flashed on your device, most likely is something from the old Elite Project.
So, most definitly you dont have the original ROM installed but a custom one... this is nothing bad thow.
And about the numbers please post whats the number on the row with "R", this should be the radio rom version. This will tell you if the Radio ROM was also flashed with something else.

Hi I would suggest you to flash a new rom with manila 2.5 on it.
On my PERSONAL experience Energy and Tael roms are the best. I think TAEL is more stable and maybe less tweaked. Energy is faster but from time to time you can meet some strange behaviour... If you go to Energy I would suggest you to choose the 21911 kind because is more stable and gives less problems. I actually use this.

PS: don't feel frustrated cos you do not have the stock rom. They are far less perfomant and poor than the custom made ones ;-)
