you can backup your contacts and sms with activesync... OR with this very good program called PIM BACKUP. Here it is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299705

For SMS, the best program is Jeyo Outlook Extender.

You don't need to do a hard reset to update your Radio ROM.

Hello Everyone,
I'm plannig to upgrade my Qtek S200 to the latest WWE rom. I've already upgraded once when I first bought the S200 to a DOPOD rom, but remember that everything had to be re-installed (which was not a problem then sice I had very few things). I have the S200 for some time now and would not like to reinstall everything, does anybody know if this is possible? I use spb backup, would it be possible to restore eveything once upgraded?
Thanks for any answer that might come
U can use sprite backup. It has a utility to upgrade. I always use it and it does work perfectly.

Not with SPB, Sprite Backup is the only backup application that can restore after a ROM upgrade. If you are using Sprite Backup make sure you read this faq first before you upgrade your ROM as you will need to capture the .sbu file on the old ROM

Thanks for your help, I bought sprite backup and I will give it a go. One last thing, the FAQ is mentioning that all the POP accounts need to be deleted, how do I migrate my mail?

POP accounts are linked to a device identifier thus they cannot be restored to a new device or ROM using upgrade mode. All other mail is fine. So make sure you delete the POP accounts before backup

Hi!
All of a sudden my Inbox is unable to display any messages. Sure they're all listed there, but when I try to open a message, nothing happens. I've run a full restore using 2 different backups from SPB Backup, didn't really help. Also tried PIM backup, no help. I don't want to Hard Reset then restore with PIM Backup, I know that works but it'll take days to sort everything else out to the way it was. I swear it was fine last nite. Please help.

Hi.. i am using [ROM][5.1.1|STOCK][D6603] 23.4.A.1.264 SLiM 4.5
after flashing.. it works great! but after a while tried sending text messages, an error occured "could not send"
tried to send to different people from my contacts...
Thanks in advanced!
Try factory reset, but don't forget backup first.
I also faced this problem before, and it fixed after repair. If still exist after factory reset, try delete all SMS (also backup first for safety first).
