I'm looking for a program to remind birthdays and syns with outlook. There are some out there but not what I'm looking for. I used to have Datemate (for Palm..) You could scan the outlook contact notes for events. I don't want to scan in my agenda. I know BirthdayBoy does this. I need a clean agenda ;-)
You would put for example the childs birthdays in the notes ans it will scan for that. Also possible to scan for weddingdates etc etct.
Hope you can help me out. I already looked at BirthdayBoy and Vbirthday but they don't offer scanning in outlook contact notes for dates...

I'm not quite sure what you're looking for, Outlook syncs the dates in your calendar, if you want reminders, you cann add them in Outlook and it will be synced. PocketBreeze and Spb Diary both have a tab for special events in the today plugin I believe.

I want to send tasks, contacts, appointments and notes by email, since my love has a PPC and I want to share with him some data. Since he s not near me all day, I need to send him by mail. the beam solution is not the way!
In office 2007, laptop computer I can assign someone to do a task, foward an appoitment or contact.
Can I do it with Pocket Informant or with Pocket Breeze? Can I do it with something else?

maybe you can use PPC Pim Backup and then backup your contacts, tasks, appointments then send the backup file thru email. Then he can use the same application to restore it to his device.

I want to create tasks and apps and contacts, if needed and imediately send it to someone, my hubbie, for instance, so that people can add automatically in his PIM in his PPC.
Do you have any other solution????

the PPC does it with beam BT, not with e-mail, I think! That's what I wanted to make sure of!

Try sending the contact information via vPIM as a text message, but then select his email address.

Is there any application that can show you birthdays from the contact list on the Today screen? something like the calendar today plugin that show you the appointments? I'm really frustrated because it didn't shows birthdays, i found a solution to sync it with Outlook 2007 and add all birthdays as recurring appointments but isn't there an easier way to do this? and what if i change some b-day in the contacts the calendar will be out of sync,

spd diary (and a lot of other calendar plugins) support showing birthdays mixed with the appointments. on top of that, spb diary also supports a tab with only the upcoming birthdays
Hey, there appear to be a number of problems with birthdays in Outlook and Pocket PC, which i think i may have found a solution for. There are numerous threads throughout xda looking for solutions so i thought i would put this here, if thats ok, to try and create a major thread with solutions. Please move/delete etc if this is an issue. Firstly ill outline the issues as i see them:
Editing or creating a contact on a WM device and adding their birthday results in no event being added to the calendar. For an event/appointment to be created you need to add the users birthday to a contact in Outlook on a Desktop. (This appears to be on 2003, i havent tested 2007 - someone confirm?)
Syncing contacts through exchange results in the same as above.
There is no way to change the default reminder a new birthday is added for a contact.
I found an app called CustomBirthdays which is a plugin for Outlook on the desktop, which allows you to fully customise the automatic appointments that are made for birthdays when a contact is edited. It can search your contacts and generates the autoevent if you have just synced your contacts from your WM to a new Desktop outlook or exchange session. It also lets you set what the default reminder is for all birthdays etc.
I DO NO HAVE ANY AFFILIATION WITH THIS COMPANY/SOFTWARE. Its just this has been a massive pain in the A** for me in the past, and due to the number of other requests i thought i would share. There is a 30 day trial which lets you do everything. Heres the link:

The reason i want this instead of today plugins for my WM, is because this way it generates an appointment in the WM calendar, and is not a seperate app searching through your contacts to display on today. I also use TF3D, which only shows appointments and not today plugins.

I use Microsoft Outlook 2007 to sync my TytnII.
Some of my contacts has a birthday entry, that is also scheduled in my calendar.
The problem is that I get reminded of these birthdays 23H45 the previous day.
I cannot seem to find a place to set the time for these reminders.
It's very annoying. Can someone please help ?
Hi all,
I have installed Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.1 and synchronized my WM device (currently Energy ROM, 21905.5.0.92 built on 12.6.2010).
Everything seems to be working correctly, but... When I receive an appointment into my calendar from any of my colleagues, I cannot see details of that appointment in WM calendar. But when I create appointment by myself, I can see all details.
Could anybody tell me what is wrong?

Well, it seems that this problem is connected only to Sense calendar. When I open MS Office Calendar I can see all details of meetings and appointments.
Weird, huh?
