Any working sms coounter for the 750? - Palm Treo 750

Hey, maybe someone can help me, (and a lot of people needing this too).
I need a sms counter ( I tend to abuse of sms when I do not know how much I send), but all the commercial sms counter (phonealarm, Kai's, Sms counter, and others) can only read the outgoing sms from the "usual" sms storage location in WM wich is different from the Treo 750 storage location, being this said, none of this sms counters work on the Treo 750, Believe me I've tried them.
Does someone know any working sms counter for the 750?
If there is none....
Is there a way to change the storage location to the "usual" sms storage location or make a hack that copy an outgoing sms to the "usual" storage location?
I really hope someone can help me with this issue.

Ps. I really love this forum, it has helped me a lot since I moved to WM. Thank you all!

Good question -- did you ever get an answer? Or does anyone else have any input?
Thanks!

Storage concerns regarding SMS - thousands of them

I'm really interested in getting one of these phones, I currently have a Blue Angel which has about 15000 sms messages on it. I'd like to transfer these onto the device so I have a copy of my texting past (thoughts on the possibility of this would be gratefully recieved). I also get a good 2000 texts or so a month - Is this going to be an issue on this phone? Can it handle the storage of so many texts? Is there anyway to change the settings to allow the storage of the messages on the miniSD card?
Anyone know the answers to any of these questions?
Thanks in advance
You get around 70 texts a day?!
Carumba.
Maybe some kind of teleprinter would be a better option than a new phone?
Give or take, most of my texts are 2 or 3 texts long - i.e. well over the 160 limit hence the amount.
I think that will probably change a bit now i have a smaller screen and don't have a qwerty keyboard - I get into the mindset i'm sending emails.
::Edit::
Just adding now that i've just read the review on mobiletechreview (http://www.mobiletechreview.com/phones/imate_sp5m.htm) and noticed it says that you can only send texts up to 640characters (4 texts) this would also be a problem, any ideas if this can be modified with a registry edit or something?

How to alter Send as vCard behavior?

As a rule, I use neither SMS or MMS, but need to send Contact details by email frequently.
I note that people have previously asked how to change the Send as vCard behavior to use email accounts instead of MMS. But the questions are a little old now.
Does anyone have an answer yet, either for WM6.0 Smartphone or WM6.1 Touchscreen?
Thx.
*bump*
I sorely miss this feature. I was wondering if it could not be achieved by editing the registry. Anyone?
Has anyone found how to do this, I realise its an old question, but it would be handy to know?
Yes, this is not existing. Unbelievable !
I'm using a workaround for this.
1st/ start a send vcard (MMS)
2nd/ the card is stored in folder /temp. Filename seems always to be 'me.vcf'
3rd/ attach it to a normal email using whatever kind of file explorer !!
I'm open to any kind of better solution or workaround !

help with SMS

Can someone please help
I am trying to find out how to select multiple contacts to send a mass sms on wm6. I can't for the life of me find out how to do it although I am sure I have seen the option somewhere on the phone before.
Please help if possible.
Thank you
I too do not know how to do it on the phone, therefore I use this program;
SMSsender is a group SMS sending application.

Hope this helps,

[Q] Is it possible to import sms messages to WP7?

as above
i have some important messages in my touch pro that i would absolutely loathe to lose, and i'm going to buy a WP7 device as my contract expires this month.
can some kind soul with a working device tell me if this is possible, or is there any article that mentions it?
Thanks
I think the myphone service should do it...
http://sn1-p3.myphone.microsoft.com/mkweb/Start.po?mkt=en-GB
oh...yeah right
i clean forgot about it since i use spb backup more
thanks for reminding me
From what I have seen and tried I can find no method to restore the SMS from an older 6.5 device to a WP7.
Were you able to find a solution?
Nope-- there are even solutions to import WM 6.5 SMSes to Android, but nothing for WP7- it's far too locked down.
thanks for the confirmation, as I have tried a million things and I even looked at the SMS store and it looks too locked down to even write a app to do it.
Has anyone had success at sync'ing SMS from Exchange? I have got it set up but the messages dont appear to sync to the phone....have I missed something?

Nope, WP7 doesn't support Exchange SMS sync (or SMS sync with anything for that matter).
Ironically this was one of the features added to WM6.5 with Exchange Server 2010, yet its successor (if you can call it that) lacks it.
Might get added in a few years' time, once other more basic deficiencies are addressed.
weird that this phone addresses the joe-average user, and I dont deny it, but not having a restore/backup function is poor and a ovesight....

Do I understand it correctly that using http://sn1-p3.myphone.microsoft.com/...t.po?mkt=en-GB to upload sms through WM6.5 then download to WP7 is not possible ie does not work?
Thanks

That's correct, one of the best things Microsoft created for WM6 doesn't work with WP7.
If you copy your important SMSes to the SIM card beforehand they will automagically appear on your WP7 handset.
Thought of doing that but couldn't see how to do it on wm6.5 [I have another wm6.5 phone I could copy to sim if it was possible]
wow, surprised to see my thread bumped up
my sms messages run up to the many thousands
not very possible eh?
but then, i guess a suggestion would be to prune them and keep the important ones
How to copy all sms to SIM on WM6.5?
