Ironically enough, I found out yesterday that it is the HTC Sprint Launcher application. It would be ideal if we can now find the icons. See my today screen with this application installed.

i am talking about just the launcher containing the camera (just that line). do u know how to edit the xml files ? because i've tried and i had black (empty) launcher

i tried to change the xml file to add more buttons. didn't work. after many tests, i think it only accept 5 buttons not more.i succed to move the buttons, change link, cange images but not add more :-( please can anyone help ?
just for others, i tried to change xml files with xml editor but it was not working.i used word pad and it worked
i finaly found the solution i use the tdLaunchv1.6. much much better and very easy to add as many programs u want.no need to put bmp files for icons....

where did you find it? i searched google and it only gives a few japanese sites and i don't understand anything -i'm romanian.could you give me a .cab ?
I promise I have searched, and can not find the answer I have a sprint touch pro and most of the themes I see on this site are for the diamond. I found one theme in particular that I love http://maisto.dk/Diamond_Gold_Juvel.theme it is full of manila files that need be inserted in the windows folder on the touch pro it works great except the landscape doesn't work. is there any way to keep the defaultl landscape mode but copy all other files in this theme. if so what files need to remain unchanged to accomplish this ....Thanks in advance

I own a Touch Diamond 2 (WM 6.5 stock ROM).
I am looking for an application launcher that looks and behaves like the program tab.
As far as I know it is not possible to add an additonal program tab to the HTC Sense (Manila 2.1).
I found somewhere a trick saying it is possible to add buttons to the program launcher, adding additonal keys in the registry to the standard 24.
Actually, you can create the buttons, unfortunately they do not work...
Am I missing something?

Hi... im having the same problem... also im trying to find a solution so that i can have HTC task manager with 6.5.3 WM. they have the battery and the time so there's no place for HTC TM... if you have found anything.... Thanks...
as far as I know one is needed to use a hexeditor to edit the dlls where the icons are located and maybe one can only put the dll's back in by making a custom rom

you will need a registry editor like PHM regedit. I would however recommend using a cab file to do this for you. You have said that you are a noob and if you do something wrong you can end up having to hard reset your phone and it's just alot easier with a cab.

With TotalCommander go to root directory.
Choose //Plugins
Then choose registry
HKLM is what you're looking for.
Make changes with care.

and you change the "0" to "1"

No problems, that cab is awesome BTW. Have been using it for a while
i think that with this cab my hd2 is slow....i dont know why!thats why i want to change quicklinks from registy

changing it from the registry wont make it any better. You can try another 20 or 16 shortcuts as they may work better. The Cookie monster one comes with a few extras which may account for the slowness.
If you extract the setup.xml from the cab (using winrar or similar) on your PC you can see the changes that it makes. Also as far as i am aware the shortcuts is not just a registry change but also an edit of 1 or more the the core sense files.
