Jwrightmcps Crossbow ROM Update 2.12.00 WWE

Hello All,
Sorry that I have been away from you all for so long, but had way too many projects to work on with no spare time...
Anyway, I did find enough time recently to create you guys yet another ROM. This new ROM is based on the 5.2.1921 core that has been floating around. I have taken this core and debugged/recreated all DSMs and RGUs I also re-packaged all the core language, DPI and Add-on files. (some files were from 5.2.1908 not 5.2.1921) Thus creating a full and intact WWE 5.2.1921 core (no version mixing and complete with all RGUs).
I am also posting my complete source for all you ROM cookers, so you may create your own versions at will (see links below).
Please find below the ROM details and download links, please read all information before installing any ROMs (including the enclosed “Readme” file)
If you have any questions or issues please post them here and I or another experienced member will try and address it...

How-To Verify a digitally signed file against a known serial number
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Step 1
Download the file you wish for your device.
(i.e. "JASJAR_WWE_20108_20301_11300_wwe_ship.zip")
Step 2
Unzip the download.
(double-click the ".zip" file and then click on "Extract all files")
Step 3
Open the directory that you un-zipped the download to.
(i.e. folder "JASJAR_WWE_20108_20301_11300_wwe_ship")
Step 4
Locate the InstallSheild setup program in the ROM folder, then right-click it and choose "Properties".
(i.e. "JASJAR_WWE_20108_20301_11300_wwe_ship.exe")
Step 5
Once the file properties is open select the "Digital Signatures" tab, then in the "Signature List" double-click the "HTCCertificates signing authority" signature.
Step 6
Once the "Digital Signature Details" is open select the "Advanced" tab then compare the "Serial number" with the known one.
(My S/N: “ec b8 10 3b e7 65 19 ba 4f 05 48 14 e3 34 97 61”)
Step 7 (Results)
If the serial numbers match then rest easy because you are using a "TRUE" Jwrightmcps ROM that has not been altered and is virus-free.
If the serial number does not match then it is not my original work and should not be used!
NOTE: I did this is case these files make it onto other sites, it will give you guys a way to tell if it is really mine or not. I will always use this serial number (ec b8 10 3b e7 65 19 ba 4f 05 48 14 e3 34 97 61) from now on to sign all my work, so please make note of it!

The 6515 looks a bit naff, the hx4700 still hasn't been bettered imho

Installed and looking good. I was just browsing the FTP and saw it before you posted I think
All looking good, running fast and smooth.
Only one problem so far, and that's that I'm not getting anything on WIFI.
Investigating that right now.

Have just seen your posting on your 2.02.02 thread, and, as fast as I can, am already recharging my Exec and downloading your new ROM (67% charged by now). Can't wait to flash it!
Little question: some 18521.0.7.0 builds out there come with a ~20MB flash disk for G3 devices, besides the extended ROM. Would yours include it too?

No my version does not include any flash disk, as this feature is only for G3 devices and would cause way too much confusion for general users.
(OTHER READERS: THIS RESPONSE DOES NOT APPLY TO WM6 VOIP)
"YES" we did get data transmissions over VoIP lines, we now just trunk VoIP lines into bridged DUN connections. Works great because this process can be used bi-directional...

Good to know your still playing with Universal.
Could you please explain the quote "full and intact 5.2.1921 core"?
I supose that the SDHC driver is the same that is being used in the other ROMs, meaning that some SD will go to sleep. could you please confirm this?

did htc sell universal directly?in what colour?where?i think the only difference is in some setting in the network wizard and splashscreen as i install the o2 exec rom in my t mobile mda pro.i do this because i change the housing of my t mobile with o2 exec.i love black.i spray paint the stylus black and colour the memory card black,and air brush the cover with black.i use black theme and the black phone keypad is perfect.

if only the videocall working..as i consider my uni is my temple..then Jwrightmcps should be GOD!!!

Just installed, glad to see that the vendor ID has been fixed, so the wmodem works again! You did a very good job, all of us really appreciate your efforts.
Just a little question: is there any reason to pre-install Skype v2.1 since the v2.2 is out since june? Not a big deal, I deinstalled 2.1 and installed 2.2 manually, pure curiosity!

Sadly I've got limited time to flash my 9000 at the moment, apart from the gif player/camera fix (I patched 2.12.00) and voice command which I'm not using, are there any other critical fixes? Any more info on the "Corrected registry Vendor identifacation" fix?

My question was just a pure curiosity regarding the version shipped (i.e. bug in the version 2.2 or any other issue that elected the v2.1 as the candidate).
For me Skype is useful when I'm out of office and I have a wi-fi connection available (only to chat, voice is too fragmented). I installed it in the unlocked extended memory, so the 4MB you claim are not a big deal.

Other than the change in build numbers it seems to have all the same stuff as the previous version did. No real change in look or performance.

found a bug already. the "Meters" home screen plug-in does not support SDHC cards. it says my Kingston 4gb card is full even though it only has about 900mb used in place of the amount remaining it shows lots of characters that go off each end of the display.
TOMTOM 6 and 7 both work perfectly however, GPS lock is as quick (20 seconds cold) after downloading Quick GPS.
Most importantly broken sword plays OK too.

ACtually the meter is showing how much you have left...if you click on the meter button it will show a % instead..... it shows the % free

I installed this and I'm seriously regretting it, bluetooth worked perfectly before the update, and now it doesn't seem to be running any services, it can't receive but it can send, anyone else had this problem, I've waited patiently for this official update but I'm getting very tempted to just use one of the custom ROMs here.

I have a smartphone (SGH I320) with windows mobile smartphone 5 and i would to install the windows mobile 6.1. The samsung don't have build this rom for my phone. All people that have this phone would a new rom but never 1 devolper has buil it. For this reason i ask you to build the rom for the phone.

Working 6.1
I took a chance and downloaded the Chinese version mentioned on the posts above. I have a bit of experience flashing old Samsung devices and decided to give it a try. I have a working i320 with Windows Mobile 6.1!!! It first boots in Chinese but I was was able to fumble my way through to change it to English. There is still evidence that is was made for Chinese (for example, the Celetask is Chinese) but it is workable. I have made and received a call, sent a text message and taken a photo. It is a dated phone, but it brings new life to the phone.
Is there interest in me putting together a step by step for this? I am willing but I can't imagine that there is much demand.

First off .. great n00b intro video
So, I hope the specific contents of my question havent been already addressed ... the question has been asked I know but ... anyhow...
I own a Taxi firm.
We use XDA Orbit II running Windows Mobile 6.1, allowing the drivers to receive jobs and bookings etc.
Currently, we send any PDAs to a third party to do any flashing that might be required.
To save myself some cash (it costs me £29.99 a throw) I want to be able to do this myself.
What software do I need?
How do I get hold of the flash file?
Are there any gotcha's I should be aware of?

I've found some software on the O2 website in the support area that tells me its updated the ROM version from 3.13.206.0 to 3.13.206.0.
The process took about 10 minutes.
The eagle eyed amongst you will have noted that the version numbers are the same.
Is this what is termed as a reflash?
I half expected the Windows Mobile installation to have been wiped too (6.1) but it hasnt. On boot, the device just went into the standard setup routine as though I had cleared user data.
So, what has changed?
Is this "reflash" what the 3rd party company I use is charging me £29.99 a throw for? Or are they (likely) to be reinstalling Windows too?
If so, where can I get a hold of the disks that will allow me to reinstall Windows?

Also, following on from what I am now assuming is a reflash, I note that the 3 lines of numbers which are displayed shortly after the initial switch on of my device, have changed.
Pre "flash"
R 1.58.25.14

After "flash"

Looking within the Windows Mobile OS, I can see that these numbers coincide with
R = Radio Version
G = Protocol Version
D = Base ROM Version (? guessing here ?)
What is Radio used for? WiFi? GPS?
