Java platforms with http proxy suport?

OK, I've searched a lot for a JAVA platform with http proxy support.
I'm using a wap GPRS connection that work only with a http proxy.
I have a SPV C600 (HTC Tornado) with Windows Mobile 6.
First time I was using Tao intent client that has support for http proxy (via registry changes). But it suddenly stop working... (the operator has changed the wap gateways etc..)
Another Java platform that work with http proxy is Jblend_fullscreen. But it is terrible. As far as I remember I couldn't see the text for softkeys , and the softkeys dind't work.
I've found some esmertec java platforms that had a file named internal.config or system.config (I don't rememeber exactly) where you can define a http proxy. I've tried to modify the file properly .. but nothing
So.. do you have know a java platform that support connections via http proxy? Or o solution for esmertec or jblend (from Samsung Blackjack)?
Thanks!

OK, found one java platform that works with http proxy (it seems that it uses the proxy settings from connections) and it works properly on my smartphone.

Don't forget this: if jbed exits when you run a java application go to settings > regional settings > local: english (united states)

VPN client for WM6.5 that supports open vpn?

Hi,
As the title suggests, I am looking for a vpn client that supports open VPN so I can tunnel all my traffic through it to get around chinese IP blocking. I've dl'd the one found here but it won't open on wm6.5....anyone get this or any other client working to route web traffic through a vpn service? THANKS!!!
censorship
that title should go like "go through chinese VPN blocking",
because I am in the same situation. I guess other people from other countries too. maybe we start a new thread with this title to discuss about it? Note that I am German, but lived here in Beijing now for 1.5 yrs, always annoyed by the blocking..
I tried everything:
Proxies: I could add proxies in the winmo network config, but it seems either China Mobile blocks proxy connections (is that possible?) or it's winmo's fault. I tried many proxies from various websites and lists..
Windows VPN: Thats what I use on my PC to use Twitter/Facebook/Youtube and blocked news websites. Got my server in Germany running 24/7, and its really fast and stable. On windows mobile: no connection possible. It connects for 5 seconds, but as soon as I try to access internet or mail, it just disconnects. could be the slow EDGE network which is just not supporting constant data tunnels. But I tried with WiFi and it was the same, so.. Mabye I am stupid or my WinMo is. I hope the second, hehe..
Open VPN: The client is 2 years old and I guess thats the problem. Tried it once, but already a while ago. Didn't work as I remember correctly..
Other: There's clients for cisco vpn out there. My university WAS supporting this protocol, and with a cracked client (don't remember the name, just google it), it was possible to connect. At least in Germany. But EGDE/3G/WiFi, all no problem.
So I am in the same situation. I wanna use Twitter, Facebook and maaaany news websites, bought Kinoma Play but CAN'T PLAY, .. so if anyone has an idea here how to route traffic constantly through a different country, please share!
-- EDIT
I just checked the website again and found a VERY recent update. http://ovpnppc.ziggurat29.com/blogs/changelog.php - did you try this? I dont have the time right now, but if I ever do I'll report back...
have you found the resolution of wm already? i am using i8000 omnia II with windows6.5. can't find a vpn working method.
could you get back to me [email protected]
same here... did u guys find any solution for it?
Do exist maybe a commercial app for WM6.5.
Gateprotect Mobile or something else that support .ovpn key.

openvpn service with ziggurat29 client official support
I've been looking for an open-vpn service which can be supported by an open vpn client for wm.
The only thing I found is the combination Witopia service, with ziggurat29 openvpn client
It looks good, but the only drawback I've found, is that the annual payment is the only subscription option, not suitable for testing purposes.
All you have to do is to first configure the service on a PC, then copy the configuration files to a new configuration file to fit the open-vpn client for Windows Mobile
wiki.witopia.net/wiki/Installing_personalVPN-SSL_on_Windows_Mobile
Does anyone know of any similar service like Witopia, which has OFFICIAL support for ziggurat29 openvpn client, but that can be paid quarterly?
Best regards

Unable to open https (secured) site using Opera

Hi,
Just wanna to ask why opera mobile versions 9 and 10 and also mobile internet explorer can not open secured sites such as facebook, and other secured sites, i have this error:
Secure connection: fatal error (552)
https://secure.disc-soft.com/account
Opera was not able to connect to the server. The server may be using the unsupported SSL 2 protocol, which is not considered safe enough for secure communication. The site owner should upgrade to TLS 1.0 or newer.
Make sure your Internet connection is active and check whether other applications that rely on the same connection are working.
Please help, thanks in advance

[Q] slow internet

the other day i was racing with my brother in downloading on a 3.5g network .i was using spv c600 while he using sony ericsson w810.both our phones have an edge connection.the most weird thing was that i always lost. when uc browser i was getting a speed of 5kb/s while he was getting 17-30kb/s.when using opera i still lose.ive upgraded to windows mobile 6.5.so, my question is,HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?i thought windows mobile is more powerful than java based phones.is there a registry or anything to maximise internet cause this is rily strange.
Have you used the very same network? Swap SIM Cards (and setup) and repeat. There are many factors that define data throughput...
we have even tried it on 2 other networks but his is still faster
How did you measure speed? Is there a special website for measurement or did you just compare user interface (website loaded)?
we just the same files from various websites and started downloading at the same time but his downloads always finished faster than mine. i cant use websites since pocket ie is very slow in rendering pages. the funny is that when using my phone as an internet sharing device on the pc but instead download with the phone my speed increases upto 25 to 30 kb/s
For the little internet stuff I do with this device I find that Opera mini is perfect. If you want real page rendering (and still the option for "Turbo" - at least a little) then use Opera 10 for Smartphone. Googlemail has also a nice Java application - there you are on the same level anyway.
i just found out the problem .when i use the java version the speed is 5kb/s when i use the windows mobile version speed reaches upto 40kb/s .thanks for the help

use UCWEB for best browsing, as reverensi read carefully and you can download it at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=503744&highlight=UCWEB
hopefully you get the best
The browsing experience depends on many options - especially on low performance devices like the Tornado:
Transport speed and data volume (from source to browser - in non-proxy mode)
CPU capacity to render the received data
Proxy performance including transport speed from origin to the proxy and from proxy to the browser.
Opera Proxy in Norway (I suspect). Not sure about UCWeb and a Proxy option.
Non-Proxy use eats a lot of data from your account (if no flatrate), takes time to load to the device and time to render the page onboard. I am not sure how the page-source servers are reacting to the exposed HTTP client string - so it may be different to proxy mode again.
So just try it out with your favourite pages and with/without proxy use. In Opera the proxy mode is called "Opera Turbo" - not sure for UCWEB, as said.
My favourite is Opera Mini (WM Generic version, not the Java version - it only has the "Turbo Mode") - it loads fast and so do the pages.
UCweb and Opera Mini has a server. So its like you are using proxy. This proxy allows to minimize the content so that it will not cost a lot.
Btw check your 3g, there is many 3g speeds

Can I create ICANN internet domains in Ubuntu or Windows?

Hello World! : D.
Can I create Internet domains in Ubuntu or Windows ?, or can they only be purchased for free or by paying a domain registrar ?.
That any external user can access through the browser's search bar without modifying the hosts file, without previous steps for the one who is going to visit my URL ?
Apache created me a domain that can only be accessed by configuring the hosts on the second PC. And as I read from Bind9 you need the same configuration. With the IP I have been able to access from any external IP by typing it in the search bar and it shows me the perfect Apache page página without configuring anything on the client.
Now, I would like the same but without the IP, and without paying a domain, and without free domains (No-ip ...), and without matching the two machines. It would only be to create my own internet domain on my PC and that anyone can access without doing more than typing the URL in the browser.
I have Ubuntu 18.04 TLS. If possible, however you can tell me, I will go there to look. ?
Thanks for your attention. ?
