That interface looks fantastic. The only thing I wonder though is what are the ROM/RAM/battery overheads. I suspect it'll be a fair drain on at least 2 of the 3.
Still want to try it though.
Having said that, I've got my phone just about how I want it...give or take the odd little tweak here and there

Please Julien Schapman do not make promises, we followed him for 1 year and 6 monthe at dimond fourm and gess what Mr Julien stopeed his development, left the fourm, no replay, i believe he left XDA as well!! and all the people that donated at the time got emails over emails over emails about the lunch date and than he wanted to sell the programs to some company and he thought Not, Thats it.
I won't dream or think any of his great job will be out soon, maybe 10years time.

let's hope you're wrong...

How come this TouchXperience UI often in "under development" phase during the past few years? I'm waiting for it in the past years and now have no more expectation. BTW, from this "latest" demo, it simply copied the concept from the others, like N1. Do you expect it will have other fantastic and innovative outcome?

Well I've seen some WM7 demos and this looks at least like one too! I don't think this is TouchXperience UI rather then just WM7 but we will wait and see!

I've been in contact with the developer, and I can assure you that this is not Win7, nor is it fake.
As a fellow developer I can understand the time and effort needed for this kind of project, so if he doesn't provide us with a specific release-date, there are good reasons for it. Remember that he is doing this basically for free. Some betatesters have donated, but it's not something that pays the bills, so it has to be limited to his sparetime when not working.
Let's just play it nice, and hope he manages to finish this insanely nice-looking UI.
Let's also try to remember that he doesn't owe us anything. He does this because he wants to, not because he gets paid or was asked nicely..

unfortunately XDA lost one of its most valuable devs when schaps left, because he was hounded out by too many fools being very unpleasant towards him..
Unfortunately it's a situation that happens far too often.
I'm also keen to see how well this works, but I'm happy to wait and see when he's ready to release it

the TouchExperience hopefully shouldnt take too long, or else will be forgotten even before its appeared. As it seems things like HTC Sense and UI costumizations wont be possible in WM7. For the demo i am almost more 'excited' with TouchXperience UI than with Windows 7 phone. But lets wait and see...

Schaps has done a huge amount for the community in the past so I will always have a lot of respect for him regardless.
I still have a Schaps ROM on my Hermes and I had a Schaps ROM on my Kaiser until he left the Kaiser forum for greener pastures (he got a new phone)...
If the TouchXperience is ever released it will definitely be worth a good look...

Thanks for all the custom roms and development that's been going on in this forum since the desire S release. I've had my desire S for about 14 months now and I've been following this forum for about a year. Just like to say I'm gonna miss it. I've had great help with my issues and there has been so many fantastic roms. I hope you get the kernel source soon I've just got the One S and I'm selling my desire S so thanks guys. Anyone else making the same move with me any time soon?

Good bye mate I personally wanted a One S, but the one in India has an S3 chip and I wanted the S4. Plus, it's much costlier than I expected, so I'll stick to the Desire S. Enjoy your new phone

I've been tearing Google apart page by page looking for any ICS info for the thunderbolt....
I can't find anything recent about ICS for it.
I called HTC support, the guy didn't know much if any about it
I know you guys on here are way better about finding info leaks, anything found recently?

End of october was the last rumor, so soonish allegedly, but more likely never then sooner. Kind of frustrating

AFAIK it'll just be released, I doubt there'll be advance information since it's getting to be old news.
Look in the VZW forums and maybe there'll be some info there but I doubt it, the best place to learn of it is probably right here.

Hope to Try to Develop Soon

Hey guys,
It looks like I'll be upgrading in early July to the Google Nexus 4 (really excited ). Now that I'll have another phone to use as a DD, I plan to look into doing a little dev work for the SGS4G soon.
I've never done anything like this before, so I will definitely need a lot of help if you are willing. But I should be able to do some dev work on-and-off at least until the end of August, and I would really like to learn more about how this phone works and how to develop/port/work on kernels/roms/etc.
Thank you all for all of the help you've provided me for this wonderful phone, and I hope that in the near future I'll be able to return a bit of the favor .

So glad we had this time together...

After over 2 years with my MT4GS, it is finally time to move on. I just ordered a new Sony Xperia Z (in Purple!) from T-Mobile http://www.sonymobile.com/us/products/phones/xperia-z-tmobile/ and it should be arriving about Wednesday.
I really want to thank some wonderful people in these MT4GS forums, like strapped, weekendsr2short, jkilo, and many more who have made the MT4GS a really great device and have helped me enjoy it even more. You guys are awesome!
I'll probably be posting my MT4GS for sale over on swappa, if anyone is interested.

Hate to see you go Bro but we sure do understand how it goes. You're VERY well versed in our DS and have made huge contributions to all of us AND this forum Fuzi. You'll be missed here for sure!! You're going to be lovin' some of that Xperia though. I got an N4 for the wife & me but found I just couldn't sell those DS's....at least not yet. Still having too much fun with the ocassional port and one heckuva great music/ video player & quick camera if need be with the other.

Well, I'm back! After dealing with a bunch of crap from T-Mobile, I'm sending the Sony back to them and I'm back on the MT4GS. Sorry you guys couldn't get rid of me so easily. hehehe :victory:
