Problem with car bt (Blue&Me) - Touch Cruise General

I have a problem with my car bt (Blue&Me Fiat by Microsoft)...The pda is capable to connect with the car bt without any problem but after some minutes the connection falls down...I think it depends by the pda bt that goes in stand-by mode.
It only reconnects if I manually make a search of the devices with the car bt but the connection falls down again after some minutes....It's very frustrating....!!!!!
Is there any possibility to keep the bt connection between the pda and the car kit in some manner?!? Maybe a setting that avoid the pda bt to go in stand-by mode when connected with a car kit....?!? Boh..Help me!
Thank you a lot, and compliments for this forum!

Battery Life Really Poor on XDA II...

I've had my XDA II for a few weeks now and the battery life seems really poor. I don't have any long time limit backlight options set and if I use the PDA or phone, I need to pretty much charge it every 18 hours or so.
Any ideas if it's a problem or normal or what?
I've turned on my Bluetooth connection to see if that makes a difference, and then I'll turn it on only when I need it.
For automatic switching of Bluetooth on when it detects a signal and auto off when no signal i use Pocket Bluetooth Tools. u may want to check it out as BT always on will drain power. its common sense in that the more thats running the more power you will use. i dock my XDA2 everyday, i have a spare battery and its powered in the car so power issues are not a problem for me
You can get Pocket Bluetooth tools from here http://www.bluetooth.jazztel.es/download_e.html
NB. install Bluetooth tools and then bond your devices otherwise the auto on/off doesnt work as i found out.

this apply only for using bluetooth for headset and recieving a call
nothing else
if you use your xda for bluetooth gps or activesync or ......... you have to be the active party and if another bluetooth device as a xda or a cellphoen try to send you stuff by bluetooth i'm pretty sure that bluetooth tools will not help you
Thanks for that advise. I thought the BT thing would kill my power.

i dont have a BT headset. i only use BT for my GPS. when i turn on my BT GPS, the Bluetooth Tools detects the signal and starts my BT stack. when i turn off the BT GPS, Bluetooth Tools turns off the BT stack off when no signal is received for >60 seconds.
As long as the device is bonded after Bluetooth Tools is installed i would say that the auto on/off function would work for all devices. the auto on/off would not work if i bonded my GPS before the BT Tools. Bond after installing BT Tools and the auto on/off works. just my experience with BT Tools but without any other devices myself i cannot confirm it will work for other devices.

Bluetooth problems with Handsfree kit

hi long time reader first time poster
ive just received my Kaiser (T-Mobile Vario II) and i have a Parrot CK3200 handsfree kit in my car, the problem im having is that i cant find any settings in the bluetooth part under com manager to connect to the handsfree kit automatically, i leave bluetooth on all the time but hidden, and when i jump in the car it wont connect to the HFK unless i click on the device in com manager. even if i set bluetooth the show ot all it still wont connect without me telling it to
any help would be appreciated
cool website, i can see this being a very used site by me
No problem for me
Hello,
I have the same car kit and the same phone. And i have no pb with this. Each time i turn on my car, my phone connect to the ck3200.
I have no parameter to select in order to do that.
Perhaps it is due to the ROM that i'am using : Schap's 4.31 WM6
Good luck.

Automatically connecting to bluetooth receiver?

Is anyone able to automatically connect to a bluetooth device from your captivate? I am using a sony bluetooth receiver a2dp profile so it's basically functioning like a bluetooth headset.
Pairing works. Manually connecting works. But it would be great if the captivate automatically connected to the bluetooth receiver as soon as i turn on bluetooth. It takes almost five clicks to manually connect but only one to turn on bluetooth.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
I have a similar problem in that the phone will sometimes "forget" the bluetooth devices that it has been paired with. I then have to do the pairing all over again.
I'm having the same problem - if I turn the phone off & back on again, it won't connect to my car. The bluetooth menu still shows that it's paired, but it won't connect (even if I try to manually connect). The only way to get it to connect again is to turn bluetooth off & back on - then it connects automatically.
Mine connects right away.
I think it is relate to not being able to set the bluetooth to always visable. My fuze had the same problem untill I put the energy rom on it.
I'm having the same trouble. I have to click on the Connect option which is buried in the Bluetooth menu. Annoying.
Are you using a task manager or some sort of helper to keep battery usage low? I found I was having a blue tooth problem until I saw a OPP service pop up on my task manager. Every time I killed apps I had blue tooth problems until I set this service to be ignored and left alone. Now even after I shut off the phone and turn it back on, I quickly connect to my blue tooth headset.
I'm just a noob here and I am thankful to everyone who posts who have helped me so i thought I's throw this out as something to check on.

Bluetooth issue

Hi ppl,
I'm having issues with bluetooth on mytouch4g phone.
To connect it to hands free set I have to every time turn off and then turn on bluetooth on my phone.
Anyone have similar issue?
Is there a setting somewhere to set default device?
Thanks
Do you mean "Hands free mode" or do you mean pairing a stereo BT headset?
With the stock OS -- "Hands free mode" can be set by either 1) starting the Car Dock application, or 2) Using the BT headset phone button or the Genius button to enable speech commands, and saying "Hands Free On" once the phone is ready.
With the stock OS -- pairing of the phone occurs automatically whether the phone or headset is powered up first. Pairing of media (for stereo headsets) will only occur automatically with any degree of regularity -- from experimentation and observation by others, reported on forums like this -- if the phone's BT is powered up =after= the headset. One can manually disable and enable media connectivity after long pressing on the device in the BT settings window, and that will establish the media connection -- but it is probably easier to have a BT power toggle on your home page somewhere.
If neither of these answers the question you were asking, please rephrase it. And of course, for a custom ROM (non-stock OS), ask in the appropriate ROM's thread in the development subforum.
I mean bluetooth at car. I'm able to pair my phone with car and connect with no issues.
If I get into the car with my phone and bt on - it will not establish connection. I have to turn off bt on the phone and turn it back on. Then it will establish connection. It works fine with my old Fuze.

ROM or not ROM

Hi all,
I wasn't planning updating to the custom ROM but I'm having connection issues with bluetooth at my car (I got to turn off and then turn on bluetooth on the phone to get it connected) and I was wondering if new ROM going to solve this problem or it's more like hardware?
Any idea?
Thanks
Alex
what kind of radio? even with a custom rom (evils Z) on my pioneer f90bt sometimes i have to turn the blue tooth on and off for it to connect. sometimes it connects first try.
BT is a finicky protocol. Do you have BT issues with any other devices and your phone, or just the car stereo?
Just this stupid stereo. It works fine with other cars. But other phones works fine with my stereo
May be the stereo not sending out a connection request when you turn your car on have u tried re-pairing? I've had similar with a headset.
I tried re-pairing with no result. I can initiate car bt connection manually so I'm pretty sure it's the phone issue.
